This product is not a toy and should never be used by children. Please ensure children are
supervised at all times. Never leave the hot plate unattended when switched on as it could lead
to damage or fire.

General and Safety Instructions
• Please keep these instructions, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging.
• This product is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the product by a person that is
responsible for their safety.
• By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for any damage or injury caused by the product.
• To protect children against the dangers of electrical appliances, please make sure that you never leave the product unattended. Therefore
you have to select a storage place for the product where children are not able to grab it and ensure the cable is not hanging in a downward
position.
• The product must be placed on a stable, level surface.
• During use, any area of the hot plate may get hot. Be careful when handling the hot plate at all times.
• The user must not leave the product unattended while it is connected to the power supply.
• Make sure that the product is stored in a dry environment.
• Check if the voltage of the product corresponds to the main voltage of your supply.
• This product complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in
this user manual, the product is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.
• Never move the product by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled and do not wind it around the product.
• Allow the product to cool down before you clean or store it.
• To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord plug or product in the water or any other liquid.
• Do not use this product with a damaged cord or plug or when the product has malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors or any purpose other than its intended use.

• All repairs including to the plug or cord should be made by a competent qualified repair service. Do not repair this product yourself.
• Note: To avoid danger by accidental resetting the thermal protection, this product may not be powered through an external switching
device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that regularly will be switched on or o.
• Allow the device to cool down before you are going to remove or replace spare parts.
• Do not use this product near direct heat sources.
• Make sure the cord does not touch the hot parts of the product.
• Do not use this product in the bathroom or near a sink filled with water. If this product has fallen into the water do not under no
circumstances directly grab this product, but first pull the plug from the socket.
• Make sure that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table or counter, does not touch any hot surfaces or is coming directly into
contact with the hot parts of the product. Do not place the product underneath or close to curtains, window coverings etc.
• Children shall not play with the product.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Care and Maintenance
• Remove the plug from the outlet and let the product cool down.
• Clean the outside with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, steel wool or a scouring pad as this may damage the product
• Do not immerse in water or other liquid. Do not place the product in the dishwasher to clean.
• Clean the painted surface with a damp soft cloth and mild household cleaning powder.
• Baked on marks on the circular Hot Plate can be removed with a household cleaning powder. Turn the unit on for a moment to dry after
cleaning.
• Commercially available Hot Plate cleaners are recommended to preserve the natural finish of the Hot Plate.

Using the hot plate
• Read all instructions before the first use.
• Take the product and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the product.
• Before using your hot plate for the first time turn the hot plate on the highest setting for 3 to 5 minutes to condition the protection coating.
This should be the only time the hot plate is turned on without a cooking utensil on it .
• The base diameter of cooking utensils smaller than the diameter of the hot plate should not be used.
• Utensils with convex, concave or uneven bottoms should not be used.
• Cooking utensils, regardless of their size, should not project beyond the hot plate or intrude into the area of close proximity of the controls.
• This hotplate features an overheat cut o, so if the temperature gets too hot is will cut out. This gives you added peace of mind, but should
never be relied upon to allow leave the hot plate unsupervised.
• Turn the controls to the recommended position marked to achieve the desired temperature.
• NOTE: Both hot plates can be used at the same time, however care must be exercised to prevent the cooking utensil handles from protruding
over the adjacent hot plate.
• IMPORTANT. When not in use always turn the controls to the “0”position and disconnect from the power outlet.

General cooking information
• For the most ecient operation of your hot plate the cooking utensil used should have a solid base, be as flat as possible and with a
diameter similar to that of the hot plate.
• Turn the controls to the recommended position marked to achieve the desired temperature. The guide below can be used as a reference.
Setting Recommendation
1 For simmering of delicate foods,and thickening sauces etc.
2 Slow cooking
3 For simmering large quantities
4 Shallow frying of meat and pan dishes
5 To bring all dishes to rapid heat / boil
• The lamp will go o when the hot plate reaches the selected temperature and will cycle on and o to maintain the temperature.

Warranty Information
• This product comes with a full 12 month manufacturers defect warranty and covers any manufacturers defects for one (1) year from the
date of the original purchase. It does not cover any damage occured though:
• The product falling or being dropped.
• The product has been technically changed by the owner or another third party
• Improper use of the product and normal wear and tear.
• Any damage due to unattended use.
• The aected part will be replaced or repaired (manufacturers option) if they are found to be defective within the one (1) year time frame.
• The warranty will be void if the product has been subject to neglect, misuse, improper installation, misapplication, alteration or accident
including, but not limited to, improper installation, maintenance or use of unauthorised parts or attachments.
• Damage caused by not following the instruction manual in full will invalidate the warranty, if this results in consequential damages, Quest
will not be liable for these damages or any costs incurred due to these damages.
• Quest will not be liable for material damage or personal injury caused by improper use or if the safety instructions are not properly
executed in full.
• All claims must be made though the retailer you purchased the product from and not direct with the wholesaler or manufacturer.
• Warranty claims cannot be honoured without an original dated receipt and or proof of purchase.
• By executing repairs the original warranty period of (1) one year will not be extended, nor the right to a complied new warranty. This
warranty is only legal on European soil. This warranty does not overrule the European directive 2011/83/EU.
• This product may not be amended or changed.
Warranty Claim
• In the unlikely event of a warranty claim, you must contact your retailer.
• Take the product to your retailer that you purchased it from along with your proof of purchase and explain the issue with the retailer.
• The retailer will then check the product and get in touch with the wholesaler or manufacturer.
• The retailer will keep you informed of the progress of the claim.
• The wholesaler or manufacturer will not (unless under special circumstances) get in touch with you as all information will be passed back
directly to the retailer.
