General and Safety Instructions
• Read all instructions.
• Supply voltage should be the same as specified on the name plate.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or worktop. Do not let the power cord touch a hot surface or use the power cord
to carry the toaster.
• Do not immerse the power cord, plug or toaster in water or any other liquid.
• During use, any area of the toaster may get hot. Be careful when handling the toaster at all times.
• The toaster should only be used on a flat, level area.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a
hazard and invalidate your warranty. Never use the toaster with a damaged cord.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
• In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertently resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied though an external
switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
• Do not use outdoors or any purpose other than its intended use.

Making Toast
• When you plug the toaster into the mains socket, turn the knob for the degree of toasting to the position you wish. There are 7 different
degrees of toasting that can be selected by adjusting the corresponding knob. 1 = Light and 7 = Dark.
• Insert the slices of bread and press the ON switch as far down as it will go. The slices of bread will be lowered into the toaster.
• Whilst the toaster is in operation, it is possible to make the toast lighter or darker by revolving the selector knob.
• You can stop the toaster at any time during operation by pressing the CANCEL button.
• The toaster switches off automatically when the appropriate time comes to an end.
Bread Slices
• The type of bread, its moisture content, age, thickness and number of slices all have an effect on the degree of toasting.
• If you are going to toast two slices of bread side by side, they should be of the same type of bread, have the same moisture content and
be of the same age. (Wherever possible, bread should be kept wrapped).
• The overall thickness of the bread should not exceed 1.5 cm.
• If the bread slices are very thin, they will not be centred automatically and they should be toasted on the lowest setting in order to avoid
them becoming burnt on one side.
Cleaning the toaster
• Pull out the mains plug and wait for the toaster to cool down.
• Remove and empty the crumb tray.
• Wipe the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth.
• Do not use a sharp object or abrasive substance to clean the toaster.
• Do not immerse the toaster in water or put it in a dishwasher.
