pointͲofͲcaresetting.
TheQuidelTriageMeterProusesalaserasalightsource.Lightfromthelaserhitsatestdevicethathas
beeninsertedinthemeter.Thiscausesthefluorescentdyeinthetestdevicetogiveoffenergy.Themore
energythefluorescentdyegivesoff,thestrongerthesignal.
NOTE:Torunspecifictests,suchastheQuidelTriageCardiacPanel,youalsowillneeddetailed

Overview:RunningaTest
Afteratestsample(forexample,blood)fromapatientisaddedtothetestdevice,thetestdeviceisinserted
intheQuidelTriageMeterPro.Themetermeasureshowmuchofthesubstance(aparticularprotein
marker)ispresent,basedonstandardsthathavebeenpreͲprogrammedintothemeter.Thepatient
identification,theUserI.D.andthetestresultscanbeprintedoutonapapertape.
Inadditiontotestingsamplesfrompatients,theQuidelTriageMeterProcontainspreͲprogrammedQuality
Control(QC)functionsthatallowthepersonoperatingthemetertomonitorqualitycontrol.
Unpacking
TheQuidelTriageMeterProandtheitemsthatcomewithitareprovidedinasinglebox.
QuidelTriagetestdevicesarepackagedseparatelyandincludeinstructionsforrunningspecifictests.Ifyou
