Extra Step: Floating Base
Bed Base Assembly Guide
Step 1: Side rails
Note: you may notice a small
gap on each corner - this is
one of our essential design
features to stop any potential
wood-on-wood squeak!

Starting at any corner, clip the
side rails on to each of the end
pieces. Note: All brackets on the
bed are designed to be tight,
please apply force to ensure
they are fully seated.
'Stuck' bracket: When
disassembling, if brackets don't
unclip, grab any slat and tap
upwards beneath the beam.
Rest both side rails on the
cross beam before attaching
the front piece. The legs are T
shaped, ensure the top of the T
faces the foot of the base.
Then, twist the 2 included
screws in with the Allen key.

Step 2: Centrebeam/s
Starting in the middle of the
frame, place the slats in the
grooves (they are designed to fit
'loose' to prevent squeaking).
Finally, ensure the base is
'square' by shuffling the front
beam slightly left or right.
And that's it, happy sleeping!
Rest the centre beam/s in the slots,
then wind the leg/s down until they
just touch the floor.
Note: Severely over or underwinding
the leg can cause stability issues.
Clip in the support struts,
then the headboard,
applying force to ensure
all brackets are fully seated.
The HB brackets should be
nearer the floor (rotate the
HB if they are near the top).
Note: the struts are not
designed to reach the
ground. Also ensure they are
not touching your skirting
boards, if you have them.

Lifetime warranty against any break/squeak, including all delivery fees
for 2 years. After this, only delivery/callout fees apply.
Natural oil finish can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap if
required.
Knots, grains & blemishes are a natural feature of our sustainably-
sourced solid Australian timber, it does not impact the strength or
durability of the base. We do our best to minimise timber wastage as
much as possible, so it is not uncommon to have some colour variations
on your base.
We use Osmo Wood Oil to prolong the life of the timber, so refinishing
isn't necessary, but can be done every 2-5 years if discolouration occurs
(e.g. prolonged exposure to sunlight).
Do not raise the base on a platform, the Centrebeam leg(s) must be
securely touching the floor.

Without care, the brackets could unlatch if lifted incorrectly:
Original: lift and shuffle from the front or back beam only.
Floating: lift and shuffle from the side rails only.
Do not drag base aggressively - lift up slightly and shuffle slowly.
After shuffling, ensure the following:
The base is still 'square' (as shown on Page 3).
Centrebeam leg(s) are touching the floor
The 2x Headboard Struts (if you purchased one) are not touching or
leaning against your skirting boards, if you have them.

1. Back Beam (Head end)
Bed Base Contents & Setup
If applicable: Headboard + 2x Struts
(Sometimes all packed in Base Box 1).
King beds will have 3 stacks of slats
(marked as 1x "inner" and 2x "outer")
We suggest laying out the pieces
roughly like the picture below, which
should then make joining them fairly
simple and intuitive.
Base Box 1 = Front, Back & Centrebeam(s),
Base Box 2 = 2x Side Rails
Slats Box = Plantation Pine Slats

Ensure the Slat recesses are
facing upwards and inwards

Floating: One side has a recess cutout to make
room for the crossbeam (place it at the foot end)
