Placing Your Speaker
Place your speaker in the desired location on a flat, hardsurface. Do not
hang it.
Connecting Your Speaker
Using the Speaker Terminals
1.Connect one pair of speaker wires(not
supplied) to the color-coded connectors
onthebackofthespeaker, and matchthe
connectors to your amplifier.
• Or,youcanusemorethanonespeaker.
This resultsin an 8-ohm loadon the
amplifier. If you connect a second
speaker in series, the load increases to
16 ohms. If you connect asecond
speakerin parallel, the load decreases
to 4 ohms. Check your amplifier’s
specifications to determinethe best
connection.
2.To insert the speaker wire, pressdown on
theredorblackpush-releasebuttononthe
backofthespeakerandinsertthetipofthe
speaker wire.
Using the Mono Plug
Plug the1/4-inch Mono plug(not supplied)
into the MONO jack on rear of the speaker,
and plugthe other end into your amplifier’s
OUTPUT jack.
Operation
Adjust the amplifier’s volume to the desired listening level.
Cautions:
• Do not use the speaker terminals and Mono plug connections at same
time.
• To protect your hearing, set theaudio source’s volume tothe minimum
level.
• Make sure theaudio source’s power is turned off.
Keepyourspeakerdry;if it getswet, wipeit dry
immediately. Use and store your speaker only
in room temperature environments. Handle
your speaker carefully;do not drop it. Keep
yourspeakerawayfromdustanddirt,andwipe
it with a dampcloth occasionally to keep it
looking new.
If your speaker is not performing as it should,
take it to your local RadioShack store for
assistance. Tolocate your nearest
RadioShack, use the store locator feature on
RadioShack's website (www.radioshack.com),
or call 1-800-The Shack (843-7422) andfollow
the menu options. Modifyingor tamperingwith
thespeaker’sinternalcomponentscancausea
malfunction and might invalidate its warranty.

the same or similar design; or(c) refund the purchase price. All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of RadioShack.
New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the performance ofwarranty service. Repaired or replaced parts andproducts are warranted for the remainder of
the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow instruc-
tions, improper installation ormaintenance, alteration, lightning orother incidence of excess voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by a RadioShack
Authorized Service Facility; (c) consumables such as fuses orbatteries; (d) cosmetic damage; (e)transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or(f) costs of product removal,
installation, set-up service adjustment or reinstallation.
