SELECTING A
MOUNTING LOCATION
You can mount the Spot Light on a
floor, table top, or ceiling. Before you
mount the Spot Light, select a loca-
tion that is:
• Sturdy enough to withstand the
weight of the Spot Light
• Out of the way but within arm’s
reach, so you can operate it eas-
ily
• Close enough to an AC outlet to
use the attached 6-foot power
cord
Warning: Injury to persons and dam-
age to the Spot Light or mounting
surface could result if the lamp is
pulled from the surface. To reduce
the likelihood of such injury or dam-
age, mount it only on a stable and
sturdy surface.
INSTALLATION
1. Loosen the two thumb screws
on the Spot Light’s housing and
remove the Spot Light’s mount-
ing bracket.
2. Use the bracket as a template to
mark the locations for the two
mounting screws.
3. For mounting on wood, acousti-
cal tile, cellulose-fiber board, or
a similar surface, drill two 1/16-
inch holes in the mounting screw
locations.
For mounting on plaster, dry
wall, or a similar ceiling, drill two
1/16 -inch holes in the wood stud.
4. Use a Phillips screwdriver and
the two supplied wood screws to
mount the bracket in the
selected location. Tighten the
screws securely.
5. Tighten the thumb screws to
securely reattach the Spot Light
to the bracket.

Warning: The Spot Light’s housing
gets hot after the light is plugged in. If
you need to adjust its angle after it is
plugged in, wear a thick glove. Do not
touch the Spot Light’s housing with
your unprotected hand.
CHANGING THE LENS
Your Spot Light comes with four col-
ored lenses — red, green, blue, and
yellow. Follow these steps to change
the lens.
1. Unplug the Spot Light and let it
cool.
2. Turn the lens cap counterclock-
wise and remove it.
3. Place the desired colored lens
over the Spot Light’s bulb.
4. Replace the lens cap and turn it
clockwise until it is secure.
Caution: Do not install two lenses at
the same time because the lens clos-
est to the bulb might become de-
formed due to the bulb’s heat.
OPERATION
Plug the power cord into a standard
AC outlet. The Spot Light lights.
If using a mirror ball, aim the Spot
Light at it. The mirror ball reflects and
spins the colorful beams when it ro-
tates. To get more colorful beams,
use more Spot Lights with different
colored lenses aimed at the mirror
ball from different angles.
Note: You might need to adjust the
Spot Light’s angle to get the best re-
sult.
When you are not using the Spot
Light, unplug it.
REPLACING THE BULB
Your Spot Light’s bulb should last up
to 100 hours. If the Spot Light’s bulb
burns out, you can order a replace-
ment bulb (RadioShack Unlimited
No. 11576964) through your local
RadioShack store.
Warning: Before replacing the bulb,
unplug the Spot Light. Be sure the
bulb has cooled down, or wear a
thick glove when replacing it.
Caution: Use only a PAR 36 6-volt
30-watt bulb. Using another type and
size bulb could damage the bulb or
the Spot Light.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your Spot Light is an example of superior design and craftsmanship. The follow-
ing suggestions will help you care for your Spot Light so you can enjoy it for
years.
Keep the Spot Light dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Liq-
uids might contain minerals that can corrode the electronic cir-
cuits.
Use and store the Spot Light only in normal temperature environ-
ments. Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic
devices, and distort or melt plastic parts.
Keep the Spot Light away from dust and dirt, which can cause pre-
mature wear of parts.
Handle the Spot Light gently and carefully. Dropping it can dam-
age circuit boards and cases and can cause the Spot Light towork
improperly.
Wipe the Spot Light with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it look-
ing new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong
detergents to clean the Spot Light.
Modifying or tampering with the Spot Light’s internal components can cause a
malfunction and might invalidate your Spot Light’s warranty. If your Spot Light is
not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
