RAINIER CISCO COMMERCIAL D9865H RECEIVER QUICK TIPS.
To add a new preset (channel group) select a number 1-64.
On Remote
Press:
Setup
Tuning/Preset
Enter
Preset
Enter a number 01-64
Enter a name (use red button for keyboard)
Set Modulation type DVB S or DVB S2
Set Downlink frequency
Set Symbol rate
Set Net ID
Save
Activate

NOTE:
When changing between Subscription Channel Groups there can be a delay up to 2 minutes before the
receiver will authorize for that new channel group. This is how Cisco PowerVu authorizes its services.
To acquire a new Rainier Channel Group (preset):
Set your 4DTV or analog receiver to the satellite degree position required and proper Horizontal
or Vertical polarity of the PowerVu Rainier channel group requested.
When that is done on the D9865H remote do the following.
Press:
Setup
Tuning/Preset
OK
Yellow button (Preset)
Preset Number
OK
Enter Number (highlight)
OK
Blue button (Activate)
OK Continue
Acquiring Network
Success
Tune to channel (ie 102 MAVTV, 1 NFL Network etc) number of Rainier subscription channel
use channel up or down or direct entry buttons.
If you fail to acquire the channel group, check and see if the satellite signal is peaked
and polarity is correct. If your system is tuned properly and working well, you should acquire
the channel group.
Note: DVB S2 8PSK HD signals need to be spot on, make sure your dish alignment and LNB are
up to the task.

TO SET RECEIVER TO OPEN (FTA MODE) (needed to receive FTA Freeview Channels)
On Remote
Press:
Menu
Go to Setup Menu
Scroll down (4 positions) to Advanced Setup
Press OK
Administration
Press OK
It’s in Standard from the factory, toggle right to Open
Press OK
Exit
TO SET AUDIO For NBC NETWORK Channels 105W FTA (Freeview Channels)
On Remote
Press:
Menu
Go to Setup Menu
Scroll down to Audio Setup
Press OK
Toggle Right to R Mono
Press OK
Scroll down to PMT Audio Source
Press OK
Toggle Right to Audio 4
Press OK
Exit
Revert to original settings for normal operation.
