Turn off the weighing system.
In order to open, move the left key (see drawing 1) to the right. At the same time pull the printer
door towards you.
Remove the empty paper roll from the holder.
Place a new paper roll on the holder. Pay attention to the correct placing of the roll in regard to
the unwinding side of the paper (see drawing 2 for the correct installation).
Feed the paper in the printer head (see drawing 2 for the correct installation).
Upon feeding the paper a light resistance is felt.
Turn on the weighing system.
By pressing the print feed key, the paper is transported further into the printer head (the print
feed key is located on the inside of the printer housing; at the top on the right a messing strip
with a little catch. This is the extension of the printer feed key).
The paper appears at the front of the printer head.

Close the printer door (push until you hear a click).
The weighing system and printer are ready for use.
Inkt ribbon change
Open the printer as shown above.
Take hold of the printer door between thumb and index finger and push the inner chassis slightly
downwards with your middle finger.
With your other hand carefully pull the inner chassis loose from the outer chassis (see drawing 3).
Hinge both parts as far apart from each other as possible and remove the ink ribbon by pushing on
one side (mentioning PUSH) of the ink ribbon cassette.
The ink ribbon pops out and can be changed (see drawing 4).

Remove the empty paper roll from the holder.
For replacing a new paper roll, reel off a few centimeters from the new paper roll. Hold
approximately 5 cm. of paper outside the device as you place the new roll into the reservoir.
Close the lid by applying equal amounts of pressure on each side ensuring the lid is in locked
position.
Tear off the spare paper.

Remove the remaining paper using the Paper Feed button, do not pull paper out of the rear of the printer
mechanism.
Reel off a few centimetres from a new roll of paper and check that the end has a clean straight edge (see
drawing 1).
Slide the leading edge of the paper through the paper entry slot, with the leading edge of the paper feeding
forwards from the bottom of the roll, until you feel resistance.
Press the paper feed button and feed the paper through the printer mechanism. (see drawing 2) Keep the
paper feed button depressed until enough paper is fed through the printer mechanism to pass through
the paper exit slot.
Slide the new paper roll in the paper cup and close the lid.
Inkt ribbon change
In order to open, squeeze the lid carefully sideways and pull it up. To avoid damage, do not use
eccesive force.
Remove the old ribbon by gently pulling at the ends of the plastic housing. See picture 1.
Place the new ribbon (see picture 2)in the same position. Make sure the paper is between the ribbon and
the plastic ribbon housing. See picture 3.
Gently press the ribbon holder on its place by pushing on top of the ends. See picture 4.

Turn off the power of the printer.
Cut the Roll Paper end straight and square. Hold the roll so that the paper comes from the
bottom.
Attach the Roll Paper to the Holders Paper by slipping one side of the roll onto the Hub and
pulling the other Hub out to allow the roll to slip in place.
Insert the paper evenly into the Paper Insertion Slot.
Turn the Power Switch “ON”, and press the FEED Button. The paper will be fed into the unit.

Inkt ribbon change
Turn off the printer power.
In order to open, lift the lid (see drawing 1) upwards.
NOTE: Be careful not to touch the print head immediately after printing, because it can get very hot.

To remove the old inkt ribbon, Hold the spool and lift gently, rotating it until the ribbon sags.
Push the ribbon detecting lever out, lift the spool until it comes off the shaft. Remove the second
spool in a similar manner. (See drawing 2). (Do not apply excessive force when lifting spools.).

Unwind ribbon so that the spools are separated as shown in drawing 3.

Hold the ribbon taut as shown with the drive pins facing down and slide the ribbon between the
print head and the platen. While keeping the ribbon taut, wrap one side around the black ribbon
guide on the end of the platen and drop one spool on the spool shaft. As you move the spool
downwards, move the detecting lever aside to allow the spool to drop into place. Make sure the
spool drive pins engage with the spool drive holes. As the spool drops into place there will be a
click.
While continuing to hold the ribbon taut, install the remaining ribbon spool in a similar fashion.
Turn the spool that rotates freely to take up the ribbon slack.

Turn off the power of the printer.
To remove the old paper, cut the paper close to the slot and use the feed button until paper has
passed completely through the printer.
Note: Do not try to remove the paper by hand as it could become crooked and get jammed inside
the printer.
For placing the new paper, make a straight cut along the top of the paper, about 1/4 inch away
from the sprocket holes, (as shown in the drawing 1). If there is perforation, cut the paper on the
perforation.

Insert the paper squarely into the paper insertion slot until the ALARM lamp goes out. Then, hold
down the FEED switch to advance the paper 8 lines, and release the switch when 8-line feeding is
completed. If the paper is not fed straight during 8-line feeding, straighten the paper by pulling it
back slowly as you hold the paper release lever down. If a sprockethole is torn or enlarged, recut
the paper and reinsert it as before.
After confirming that the paper has been fed in straight, feed the paper continuously by holding
the feed switch down.
Release the feed switch when the paper emerges through the paper outlet.

Turn off the printer power.

Paper loading
Use only the specified type of paper for this printer. Do not use inappropriate types of paper, or it could
cause malfunction or damage of the printer.
The following procedure describes how to print on paper. Before trying to print,be sure to install a
ribbon cassette into the printer using the procedure under “inkt ribbon change” on page 22.
Make sure that the printer is plugged in and turned on.
Check that the RELEASE indicator on the control panel is lit. If the indicator is not lit, press the
RELEASE button until the indicator lights up.
Important!
Insertion and removal of paper should be done only when the printer is released condition (the paper is
not held by paper feed roller).
ENGLISH
Place a piece of the paper onto the printer’s document table and slide its right edge into the
printer. Printing will be performed on the side of the paper that is facing up (the one you can
see), starting from the top of the paper.
Important!
Do not use wrinkled or curled paper. In case of multiple paper, neatly align the
sheets.
