Attachingtheconnectorlockingcollar
Thesuppliedcableisprovidedwithaseparatelockingcollar
assembly,ensuringthatthecableconnectionissecure.
Thisproceduredescribeshowtoattachthelockingcollarto
thecableconnector.Thelockingcollarpartsaresuppliedina
separatebag,inthepackagewithyourproduct.
Important:Ensurethatyouroutethecableallthewaytoits
destinationbeforeattachingthelockingcollar .
1.Slidethelockingcollarovertheendoftheconnector ,then
pushittowardsthecable-endoftheconnector.
Important:Ensurethatthelugsonthelockingcollar(labelled‘’
intheillustration),areclosesttotheplug-endoftheconnector.
2.Slidethesplit-ringovertheendoftheconnector ,thenpushit
towardsthecable-endoftheconnector.
Important:Ensurethatthetabsonthesplit-ring(labelled‘B’in
theillustration),areclosesttothecable-endoftheconnector.
Thesplit-ringslideseasilyforapproximately1cmontothe
connector,beforebuttingupagainsttheconnectormoulding.
3.Carefullyinsertthepointedendofthesuppliedtoolintothe
split-ring’ sgap(labelled‘C’intheillustration).
Thetoolwidensthegapinthesplitring,enablingthesplitring
tobepushedfurtherbackontotheconnectorinthefollowing
step.
Important:lwaysusethesuppliedtoolwhenattachingthe
splitring.Thesplitringmaybecomeoverstretchedandbreakif
youtrytoattachitwithoutusingthetool.
4.Usethetooltogentlyleverthesplitringoverthemouldingon
theconnectoruntilitsnapsintopositionapproximately0.5cm
furtherbacktowardsthecable-endoftheconnector.
Y oucannowremovethetool.Thesplit-ringstaysinposition
ontheconnector,butrotatesfreely.
5.SlidetheO-ring(arrowed)overtheendoftheconnector,
andensurethatitisseatedsquarelyagainsttheconnector
moulding,adjacenttothesplit-ring.

6.Slidethelockingcollartowardstheplug-endoftheconnector
,
rotatingthecollarasnecessarytoensurethatthelugsonthe
lockingcollar(labelled‘D’intheillustration)passthroughthe
channels(labelled‘E’)inthesplit-ring.
Thelockingcollarslideseasilytowardstheplug-endofthe
connector,beforebuttingupagainstthesplit-ringmoulding.
7 .Graspthebodyoftheconnectorwithonehand,thenwiththe
otherhand,pullthelockingcollarfirmlytowardstheplug-end
oftheconnector.
syoupullthelockingcollar,itclicksintoplaceoverthe
split-ring.Thelockingcollarstaysinpositionontheconnector,
butrotatesfreely.
