1. Connect the included HDMI cable from the HDMI port of your PC or gaming console to
the HDMI input port of the Razer Ripsaw HD.

2. Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the HDTV or monitor to the HDMI pass-
through port of the Razer Ripsaw HD.
3. Connect the included USB 3.0 Type-C to Type-A cable from the USB 3.0 port of your
recording PC to the Type C port of the Razer Ripsaw HD. The status indicator of your
Razer Ripsaw HD will light up to indicate that it is now powered on.

If you want to add audio commentary to your streams, simply connect a microphone to
the microphone input port.
4. Connect an analog audio output device (such as a headphone) to the headphone port. This
will allow you to listen to all audio being captured or streamed by the Razer Ripsaw HD
at the same time.

How do I record my game audio using
the Razer Ripsaw HD game capture card?
To record audio using the Razer Ripsaw HD via OBS, please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that your setup is correct, please see How do I set up my Razer Ripsaw HD?
2. For PC, set your playback audio device to Ripsaw HD.
For console, set the audio output to HDMI.
3. On OBS, add an Audio Input Capture device.

4. In the Create/Select source window, select “Create New” and click “OK”.

5. In the Properties window, select “Microphone (Razer Ripsaw HD HDMI)” and click
“OK”.
6. You should now be able to record your game audio. You can confirm that OBS is
receiving audio when you see the green bars under “Audio Input Capture”. To monitor or
to hear the audio through your streaming PC, open the “Advanced Audio Properties” by
clicking on the cog icon in the Mixer section.

7. In the “Advanced Audio Properties” window, select “Monitor and Output” for the
“Audio Monitoring” section for the “Audio Input Capture” to be able to both monitor and
record/stream your game audio.

requirements. As such, HDMI sources will not be able to drive monitors via DisplayPort using a
passive converter. While the configuration is theoretically possible using the correct active
converter, it is not one that the Razer RipsawHD is designed for.
Can I use the Razer Ripsaw HD with my 144Hz gaming monitor?
Yes, but the streamed and passthrough output will be capped at 60Hz.

you have one plugged into your Ripsaw HD and streaming computer.
If you have a webcam plugged in, you can add it as an additional Video Capture Device.
3. In the Settings menu, go to Output and set your preferred Video Bitrate and Encoder,

1. Right-click desktop properties and select “Intel Graphics Settings”.
2. Select Ripsaw HD as the display and change the refresh rate to 60p Hz.
3. Click on “Apply” to save changes.
Nvidia Graphics Card
1. Right-click desktop properties and select “Nvidia Display Settings”.
2. Navigate to Display and Select “Change resolution”.
3. Select Ripsaw HD as the display you would like to change.
4. Set the Refresh rate to 60Hz.

AMD Graphics Card
1. Right-click desktop properties and select “Display Settings”.
