Ready2Talk HM BT3 User manual

HM BT3
Installation & Operation Manual

Thank you for purchasing the Ready2Talk
HM BT3 Wireless Hand Microphone.
The HM BT3 is designed to be a lightweight yet durable Wireless Hand Microphone (Mic)
offering up to 12 hrs. talk time on a 3 hr. charge with a 30 ft.+ (10M+) operating range.
Please Note: The HM BT3 is not designed to work with other manufacturers PA’s systems.
Connection and Operation:
1. Connect the 4 pin microphone plug from the receiver box into your Ready2Talk PA
system. You will notice the big red button on the receiver box will be flashing which
indicates the receiver has power, but the hand mic has not yet made a radio link.
2. Turn on the hand mic slide power switch and the green LED on the hand mic will flash.
Once the receiver finds the hand mic in approx. 4 seconds, the hand mic green LED
and receivers red button will stop flashing and the microphone is ready to use. If the
hand mic is not paired to that receiver box, the big red button on the receiver box will
continue to flash indicating an issue. (see pairing instructions on pg.2)
3. For best results, hold the microphone approximately 1/2” to 1” away from your mouth,
then just start talking and adjust your microphone volume as required.
4. If you want to play music while on tour? When the hand mic is turned on and in use,
this automatically instigates the music muting function in your PA. When the hand mic
power switch is turned off, the mute is released and the music will be heard again
within a few seconds. Please refer to your PA instructions for connection information.
Charging:
Connect the hand mic to the receiver box using the (included) USB to micro USB charging
cable. The red charge indicator LED on the hand mic will glow brightly. Hand mic charging
time will vary from minutes to approximately 3 hrs. depending on how charged the battery
was at the start of the charge cycle. When fully charged the red LED will go dim to out.
If necessary… you can charge and use the hand mic at the same time. Because of the 4 to 1
charging rate, if you charge the battery for 1 hr. this equals approximately 4 hrs. of extra use.
You can use most other standard USB chargers, but the charging time may vary.
NOTE: DO NOT use the receiver boxes USB socket to charge anything other than the
HM BT3 hand mic (e.g. a phone) damage will occur to the receiver box or PA!
NOTE: DO NOT continually charge the hand mic battery, charge only when needed.
The telltale signs that your battery is getting low are:
1. Less operating range
2. Slightly distorted sound or your voice will start to cut out.

Pairing / Re-syncing a Hand Mic to a Different Receiver:
Your HM BT3 hand mic and receiver box will come pre-paired / synced, if you might want to
use a different hand mic with a different receiver box, follow these simple steps below.
1. Turn on the hand mic and the green LED will flash.
2. Locate the little black button on the bottom of the hand mic. See Image 1
3. Make sure the receiver is connected to the PA and the PA power is on. Now the big
red button on the receiver box will flash. See Image 2.
4. Push and hold the little button on the bottom of the hand mic (near the charging port)
AND the red flashing button on the receiver box until you hear a “Beep” from the
speakers then immediately release both buttons. Wait approx. 4 seconds, both the
hand mic green LED and red button on the receiver box will stop flashing, now you are
Ready2Talk. This hand mic will now only work with the newly paired receiver box
unless you re-pair with another in the future.
