Use on Land
1. Check the state of the batteries before use. Do not insert batteries that are leaking or if the
casings are damaged.
2. To Turn the Focus Light ON, first ensure the head of the light is turned fully inwards, in a
clockwise direction. Now turn the the head of the light slowly counter clockwise, until the
light turns ON. Next rotate the head of the light a further uarter-turn counter clockwise.
Now the light will stay turned ON even when submersed in water. NOTE: If the light is not
turned the additional ¼ turn counter clockwise, it may turn OFF as you descend in deeper
water, due the effects of pressure pushing on the head of the light.
3. Avoid keeping the light turned on out of water for longer than two minutes.
4. Avoid switching on the light during transportation.
5. Batteries must be removed from the light before being brought on board aircraft.
6. Avoid storage in excessive humidity or heat.
7. Avoid leaving the light in direct sunlight or in environments with temperatures above 50°C.
8. Remove the batteries from the light if not being used for longer than two weeks.
9. The burn time will vary dependant on the uality and charge state of the batteries being
used.
Use Underwater
1. Ensure that the two 'O' Rings are clean, undamaged and lubricated with a silicon lubricant,
before sumbersing in water. Also that the 'two O' Ring grooves in the body are clean and
free of any foreign matter – which could easily cause a leak.
2. Do not open the head of the light while diving.
3. Do not open the head of the light if it is still wet.
4. If there are constant streams of air bubbles coming out from the light during diving, turn the
light off and return to the surface as safely as possible.
5. Do not use the light as a means of sound signalling. Repeated blows to the light may
permanently damage internal components.
Battery re lacement
•Holding the head of the light in your left hand and the body in your right hand, rotate the
light casing counter-clockwise until the head comes off the body.

•Lift out the LED light-Head assembly and insert the new batteries following the indications
for polarity shown above and also marked inside the Light Body:
•Re-Fit the LED Light-Head Assembly, making sure the two 'Lumps' in the Focus Light Body,
line-up with the two 'Grooves' in the LED Light-Head Assembly.
•Place the Head of the Focus Light back onto the Body and rotate Clockwise until the Head
is locked, it will stop when the head touches the body. Do NOT turn any more and only
apply light hand pressure.
Maintenance and Trans ortation
•After each dive, always rinse with fresh water. If the Focus Light will not be used for more
than two weeks; Remove all the batteries.
•It is advisable to remove the two 'O' rings prior to flying, as this will eliminate any problems
caused by varying pressure in aircraft cabins. But do remember to refit both 'O' Rings later!
•In the rare event of flooding, please discontinue use. Turn the light off immediately, remove
all the batteries, and rinse with fresh water. Let the components dry completely, and return it
to Reef Images for service.
