What does the Care Clock do?
People living with memory problems can have trouble telling whether its day or night,
morning or afternoon or may simply need reassurance about what day and time it is.
These instructions will tell you about how to use your Care Clock as well as how to
look after it.
The Care Clock will show Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night for each day of the
week as well as the time.
It will also, with the use of an SD Card or Memory Stick display up to five images that
are saved in a jpeg format.
Once the Care Clock has been set up you will need to think about where to position it.
The Care Clock has been specifically designed with Care Homes, Hospital Wards and
communal areas in mind as well as those who are visually impaired.
We have found customer have benefited from having the Care Clock next to a
calendar or diary to help with keeping appointments and planning activities.

Getting Started
DC IN & CARD SLOT BUTTONS
First Time Set Up:
To power on your Care Clock simply plug the clock into your chosen power supply, you will
find your Care Clock will power on and you will be able to select, using the UP and DOWN
buttons on the rear of the frame and pressing OK, the appropriate language.
To access the settings menu press Exit button, to exit the setting at anytime press Exit
buttons again.
Please Note: Settings can only be amended when the corresponding line ishighlighted,
which will be in brackets and underlined, please press the Enter button then use the UP
or DOWN button to highlight the line to apply changes. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button
tounderline the text for any changes.When underlined, please press the Enter button then
use the UP or DOWN button to change.

Settings
Set Time:
Press LEFT or RIGHT button to underline the hour <07 : 10 > change thehour by
pressing UP or DOWN button. Then press the LEFT or RIGHT buttonto highlight the
minutes < 07 : 10 >press the UP or DOWN button to adjust. Toexit press the Exit
button.
Set Date:
Press buttons LEFT or RIGHT to highlight the Day: <08 - 07 - 2016 > or <07- 08-
2016> press UP or DOWN button to adjust. Changing Month/Year when underlined.
To exit press the Exit button.
Time Mode: 12 hr or 24 hr
Select the preferred mode by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT button. To exit press the
Exit button.
Language:
Select preferred language by pressing LEFT or RIGHT button. To exit press the Exit
button.

The following settings are for 'Now it's' (UI-2).
Morning Time Set:
Select by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT button. Press DOWN to next time set.
Afternoon Time Set:
Select by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT button. Press DOWN to next time set.
Evening Time Set:
Select by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT button. Press DOWN to next time set.
Night Time Set:
Select by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT button. Press DOWN to next time set. When
finished, press the Exitbutton to exit.
Set UI-1 Show Time:
Select the length of time shown by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT, Press DOWN to select
UI-2.
Set UI-2 Show Time:
Select the length of time shown by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT button. Press
DOWN to select UI-3.
Set UI-3 Show Time:
Select the length of time each of your images are shown by pressing the LEFT or
RIGHT button. To exit press the Exit button. Please be advised that the duration
selected is applicable to all images.
Screen Displays
UI-1 displays the time
UI-2 displays “Now it's”
UI-3 displays your preferred photos (by inserting SD card or USB)

Troubleshooting
Why is there no USB memory stick or SD in the box with my Care clock?
The Care Clock does not require either as all information is built into the product.
However you can use your own SD Card and USB Memory Stick to display up to five
images (UI-3) after the time (UI-1) and time of day (UI-2).
The Care Clock has been unplugged, what should I do?
If your Care Clock becomes unplugged, it will automatically display the correct
information when it is plugged back in, that is unless the internal back-up battery has
run out.
The Care Clock is not showing the correct information, what has happened?
If the Care Clock is wrong by one or two hours, check that it has been adjusted
correctly for the time of year e.g. British Summer Time or Greenwich Mean Time.
Follow the set time instructions. If the day is wrong also follow set date instructions.
Should you find the language is set incorrectly please follow the language instructions.
What should I do when the clocks change at different times of year?
See the set time instructions and change according to time of year.
Can the Care Clock display images?
Yes, it can display up to 5 images (UI-3) which will appear after screen UI-2. The care
clock will cycle through 5 images before display UI-1 & UI-2 and repeat continually
I've pressed the wrong button while setting the Care Clock –What should I do?
Press the Exit button to exit and once again to start over.
If the screen does not display anything.
Check that the power cable is plugged in both ends and switched on. If you have
inserted a USB Memory Stick or SD Card please remove it.
