Use and Care Guide
IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS

pulled into a tub or sink.
■ Do not place or drop into water
or other liquid.

that has fallen into water. Unplug
it immediately.
■ Unplug this appliance before
cleaning it.

Usage Tips
Important Instructions
■Due the extreme heat capabilities
of this straightener extra care
should be taken when using.
■Shorter hair, place a plastic comb
between the scalp and iron to
avoid touching scalp.
■When in use, place hair between
the plates and pull down throug
hair for a few seconds, maintain-
ting some tension.
■Do not repeat more than twice, to
avoid damage to the hair.
■Before use, make sure hair is
clean, dry and tangle free.
■Only hold unit at the end of the
handle.
■Avoid touching the tips.
■Do not use abrasive cleaning fluid
or materials to clean the plates,
as damage will occur. Use warm
water and a soft cloth.
■Do not scratch the surface of the
plates, as this will deteriorate the
effectiveness of the coating.
■The red indicator light is for
power supply indicator only - it is
not to show when the unit is
ready-to-use.
■Do not style too close to scalp,
face, ears, neck and skin.
■After use, allow to cool complete-
ly before storing.
Straightening Your Hair
1. Hair should be dry and free of tan-
gles before using the straightening
iron.
2. Plug the straightener into an elec-
trical outlet.
Slide the ON/OFF
switch to the ON position.
The
ready light will glow.
3. Divide hair into manageable sec-
tions and clip the upper layers on
top of your head and out of the
way. Work with underneath layers
first.
4. Test the styler on a small section
of hair before styling the
rest of your hair.
5. Take a small section of hair and
pull hair down and away from your
scalp, and hold it taut.
6. Starting at the roots, clamp hair
firmly between the plates and run
the styler down the entire hair
strand, from root to tip, in one
smooth stroke. Do not hold it
in one area for a long period of
time.
7. Repeat with all sections of your
hair, working with the underneath
layers first, then the top and sides.
8. When you are finished styling,
slide the ON/OFF switch to turn the
unit off, unplug it, and allow it to
cool before storing.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Ensure the unit is unplugged and.
Clean the outside of the handle with
a slight damp cloth.
Safety
■The straightener should be
unplugged from the power outlet
when not in use.
■Do not leave the straightener unat-
tended when switch is on.
■Allow styler to cool down before
storage.
■Do not immerse in water or other
liquids.
Storage
Unplug the unit whenever not in use.
Allow it to cool, and then store it out
the reach of children in a safe, dry
location.
Never wrap the cord around the appli-
ance, since this will cause the cord to
wear and prematurely break, thus
voiding the warranty. Handle the cord
carefully and avoid jerking, twisting, or
straining it especially at the plug con-
nections.
Limited One-Year Warranty
Spectrum Brands, Inc. warrants this
product against any defects that are
due to faulty material or workman-
ship for a one-year period from the
original date of consumer purchase.
If the product should become defec-
tive within the warranty period, we
will replace it free of charge. Return

Instructions for use
■Take extra care while using iron
as it gets very hot.
■Plug in the unit…
■Section the hair using the clips
and comb (not included in the
package).
■For best result, spray the hair sec-
tion with heat protection spray or
hairspray prior to straightening.
This will give you the best style.
■Always start from the back of the
neck working over the sides and
finish in the front section.
■Run the straightener through the
entire length of the hair, slowly
and steadily from roots to the end
