MAINTENANCE
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
REMOVAL OF SWING-AWAY FOOT RESTS/LEG RESTS
Release lock by pushing on the front rigging lever.
Swing away foot rest/leg rest out and sideways. Lift
to remove.
TO CLOSE/FOLD CHAIR
First fold foot plates to vertical position. Grab seat
with both hands at front and back edge and left or
tilt chair to one side and lift up on seat rail.
TO OPEN CHAIR
Open wheelchair by tilting one side and pushing
down on seat rail until fully opened.
WHEEL LOCKS
Engage both wheel locks before getting in or out of
chair, leaning forward in chair, or while in an eleva-
tor or wheelchair lift. Proper adjustment of wheel
lock is at least 1/8” when locked. Locks are engaged
by pushing handle completely forward. Adjustments
to locks are made by loosening or tightening nut on
the carriage bolt. Embed lock shoe at least 1/8” by
sliding clamp toward rear wheel while handle is
engaged in locked position. Tighten nut and bolt to
secure in position. Test for correct locking action
before actual use.
ADJUSTING LENGTH OF FOOT REST/LEG REST
When adjusting length of foot rests of leg rests, user
should be sitting in wheelchair with feet on the foot
plates. This product has push button height adjust-
able legs. Front rigging should not be so low that it
causes uncomfortable pressure thighs at front of
seat upholstery. Footrest should not be lower than 2
1/2” ron the ground to ensure clearance.
Do not use an abrasive cleaner will scratch the
finish. Wipe chrome parts with a clean, soft cloth
at least once a week. All metal parts can be
cleaned with auto wax or similar products. If
exposed to moisture, dry immediately.
TIRES
Solid rubber tires need minimal maintenance,
but should be cleaned occasionally with a damp
cloth. Repace if tires become severely worn or
cracking appears.
FRONT CASTERS
Casters should be checked periodically and
lubricated occasionally by an authorized dealer.

Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing
defects.
This warranty does not cover product failure due to
misuse, negligence, improper storage or handling,
improper operation or unauthorized modifications.
Normal wear and tear on non-durable components,
such as rubber accessories and casters are not
covered under this warranty. These items are subject
to normal wear and need periodic replacement.
For Warranty Service, it is recommended but not
required, that the product be returned to the Rhythm
Healthcare dealer through whom it was originally
purchased. However, all Rhythm Healthcare dealers
are qualified to assist you in obtaining warranty
service. If the product is to be returned to Rhythm
Healthcare, prior authorization will be required.
In the event of a defect covered by this warranty,
Rhythm Healthcare will determine if the product will
be repaired or replaced.
•DO NOT attempt to adjust or operate
wheelchair without reading the manual
carefully.
•DO NOT use as an occupant restraint in a
motor vehicle. User must always transfer to
the vehicle seat.
•DO NOT operate on streets, roadways, grass,
slippery surfaces, stairs or escalators.
•Wheel locks are not brakes and are not to be
used when wheelchair is moving. Wheel
locks are only intended to keep the
wheelchair in place when it is at a complete
stop.
•Always engage wheel locks before
transferring and when using a wheelchair lift
or elevator.
•DO NOT attempt inclines or declines greater
than a 10% grade.
•DO NOT stand or step on the footplates while
transferring to or from your wheelchair. This
could cause the wheelchair to tip or may
cause personal injury or damage to your
wheelchair.
•To reduce the risk of tipping: Before leaning
or reaching forward, sit back in the seat and
make sure casters are rotated fully toward
front of wheelchair. Do not lean over the top
of the wheelchair back. Do not tie down or
attach anything to the wheels. Do not stand
on footplates.
•Unauthorized modification or the use of
unauthorized replacement parts could
change the structure of the wheelchair, void
the warranty, and create a hazardous
condition resulting in serious personal injury.
