3. PRODUCT DETAILS
3.1 Descripon
The Ridder RB50Eᵖˡᵘˢ tube motor is built-in to a 50 mm aluminium tube (wall thickness 1.5 mm) and
suitable for use with 50 mm winding tubes. Because it is built-in it is possible to wind around the full
width of the tube motor.
The RB50Eᵖˡᵘˢ tube motor is supplied with a 1-phase 2 core asynchronous electric motor for a mains
voltage of 230 V at 50 Hz, an integrated brake and a lubricated gear system. When the tube motor
operates with undervoltage the braking funcon stays good unl a minimum of 190 V. The tube
motor has a thermal protecon system. This prevents the burn-out of the drive if the electric motor
becomes too hot.
The RB50Eᵖˡᵘˢ tube motor is almost enrely water resistant. The protecon classicaon of IP55
makes sure that a damp environment has no eect on the tube motor.
The RB50Eᵖˡᵘˢ tube motor has an electronic limit-switch system, with a range of 38 revoluons, that
counts pulses. These counted pulses are used to stop the tube motor at the end posions and in
case of an overload. It is possible to set end posions with an adjusng set. The electronic limit-
switch system also makes parallel connecon of tube motors possible.
Together with the Ridder guiding unit and a guiding prole, the tube motor can be installed on the
two sides of a roller screen.
