How to use series

Preparation before printing
Placement of Originals
Press the [START]key and check the proof copy
Enter the number of copies to beprinted using the numeric keys
Open the paper feed tray,
place the paper, align the right
and left paper guides to fit, and
turn the lock levers to lock the guides.
Adjust the paper feed pressure. Open the paper receiving tray,
slide the paper guides on the
paper receiving tray to fit the
paper size.
Glass platen
Center mark
or
Align the original with
the center facing downward
and close the platen cover.
Check that the “Ready to Make Master” is
displayed on the screen.
Place the document face up,
align the document setting fence
to the width of the document,
and insert the front end of
the document all the way in.
Comfirm the test printing and adjust the printing position, density, etc.Press the [START]key.
After master making,
one test print comes out.
Set the master making
conditions as necessary.
Press the [START]key to print.Enter the number of copies to be
printed using the numeric keys.

Turn off the power switch.

[DENSITY] keys
(NORMAL) Newsprint paper, fine paper.
(CARD) Smooth cardstock, thick paper.
This fence stops with a
click sound at each
position corresponding to
the standard paper sizes.
When printing is complete,
open the paper guides and
remove the paper.

How to replace series consumables
Setting the Master Roll

Open the front door.
Check that the [Master Making
Unit Release Button] lamp is lit.
If the lamp is off, press the [Master Making
Unit Release Button] to turn it on.

Set a new master roll.
5Close the master roll holder.
Remove the tape.
6Close the master making unit
cover. Return the master making
unit to its original position.
Close the front door.

Grasp the master making unit
handle and pull it to the front.
Pull out the master making unit
slowly as far as it will go.
2Open the master making
unit cover.
3Open the master roll holder.
Remove the depleted master tube.

Remove the cap of the
new ink cartridge.
2Set the new ink cartridge in place.
Align the arrow on the ink cartridge to
the [▼] mark on the print drum (cylinder),
and then insert the ink cartridge as far as
it will go.
3Turn the ink cartridge clockwise
to lock it.
Close the front door.

Pull out the master disposal box
horizontally while grasping
the master disposal box handle.

If the master disposal box is
locked, slide the lock lever
to the right to unlock it.

●Keep the power supply during these operations.
Tilt the master disposal box
as illustrated above a wastebasket.
Grasping the push-out lever
drops the used masters.
3Insert the master disposal box
to its original position.

Insert the leading edge of the
master roll under the flap and
advance it, as far as it will go.
If the master roll is loose,
turn the flange and rewind
the master.
