Components
Verify you received all components before installation.
Notify the factory if parts are missing or damaged.
Safe-T-Gate Swing components are factory assembled
and bolted to a pallet. The parts box includes (8) concrete
anchors and (1) Owner’s Manual.

INSTALLATION
NOTICE
Install the Safe-T-Gate Swing so pedestrians must
pull the gate open to enter a dangerous area. A safe
access point is created by forcing people to stop and
look before entering. Pushing the Safe-T-Gate Swing
should provide immediate egress from the danger
zone (see Figure 1).
Post and Rail Assembly
The Safe-T-Gate Swing is designed to swing 90°s in
either direction. To allow the gate to open in the opposite
direction, you need to relocate the stopping block from it's
factory assembled position (A) to (B).
1. Temporarily position the Post and Rail assembly (D)
and Stop Post (E) at the installation location.
NOTE:The Base Plates of (F) and (E) must be
parallel.
2. Shim the Pivot Post (F) to be plumb and the Rails
level.
3. Install Pivot Post with 4 anchors.
Stop Post
1. Move the Stop Post to it's installation location.
The ordered unit size should be measured between
the 2 Base Plates.
NOTICE
The Rail Bracket should (approximately) clear:
• the post bumper by 1/16” [1.6 mm]
• the 5” [127mm] post by 17/32” [13.5 mm]
2. Shim the Stop Post as required.
3. Install Stop Post with 4 anchors.

INSTALLATION Continued
Adjusting Open/Close Force
The Safe-T-Gate Swing utilizes an internal compression
spring and a roller cam to return to the closed position.
NOTE: To avoid surface damage, use a 2nd person to
hold the Rails when removing or attaching the Bracket.
1. Remove the 3 1/4-20 bolts and lock washers (A)
that secure the internal mechanism to the Post.
2. Slide the Bracket with Rails up until it separates
from the Pivot Post.
3. Adjust the 3/4” locking nut (B) as required to
change the operating force.
To increase the open/close force:
Tighten lock nut to compress the spring
To decrease the open/close force:
Loosen lock nut to decompress the spring
4. Slide the Bracket with Rails back onto the Post
and replace the 3 bolts and lock washers (A).

ANNUAL PLANNED MAINTENANCE
INSPECT AND RESPOND TO THE FOLLOWING:
Posts Anchoring method is secure
Are plumb and square
Damage and loose hardware on Rail Bracket
Stop Post Bumpers for wear and loose hardware.
Paint: Touch up as required
Rails Cracks and holes
Mounting hardware (on bottom of rails) is tight.
Operation Open/Close the gate. Adjust the force as required.
Squeaking or grinding noises.
If the gate doesn’t operate smoothly or makes noise:
• Separate the bracket with rails from the pivot post (see page 1)
• Inspect the compression spring for cracks or damage
• Grease the 1” shaft where it slides through the upper cam and lower guide
• Grease the roller and the top of the upper cam
• Grease the 1” shaft and needle bearing located between the compression spring and the lower plate

LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY SAFE-T-GATE™SWING
RITE-HITE Company, LLC and its affiliates (collectively “RITE-HITE”) warrants that the Product sold to the Owner will be
free of defects in design, materials and workmanship (ordinary wear and tear excepted) for the periods set forth below
(“Limited Warranty”).
One (1) Year on all mechanical and electrical parts.
One (1) Year labor, based on approved travel and labor repair times.
REMEDIES
PARTS- RITE-HITE’s obligations under this Limited Warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, at RITE-HITE’s
option, any part which is determined by RITE-HITE to be defective during the applicable warranty period. Such repair
or replacement shall be RITE-HITE’s sole obligation and the Owner’s exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty.
LABOR- RITE-HITE will provide warranty service without charge for labor per the specified warranty period. Thereafter,
a charge will apply to any repair or replacement under this Limited Warranty.
CLAIMS Claims under this Limited Warranty must be made (i) within 30 (thirty) days after discovery and (ii) prior to
expiration of the applicable warranty period. Claims shall be made in writing or by contacting the representative from
whom the Product was purchased directly. Owner must allow RITE-HITE or its agent, a reasonable opportunity to inspect
any Product claimed to be defective and shall, at RITE-HITE’s option, either (x) grant RITE-HITE or its agent access to
Owner’s premises for the purpose of repairing or replacing the Product or (y) return of the Product to the RITE-HITE, f.o.b.
RITE-HITE’s factory.
NOT WARRANTED RITE-HITE does not warrant against and is not responsible for wear items such as fuses, batteries,
bulbs, vision and seals. No implied warranty shall be deemed to cover, damages that result directly or indirectly from:
(i) the unauthorized modification or repair of the Product, (ii) damage due to misuse, neglect, accident, failure to
provide necessary maintenance, or normal wear and tear of the Product, (iii) failure to follow RITE-HITE’s instructions
for installation, failure to operate the Product within the Product’s rated capacities and/or specified design parameters,
or failure to properly maintain the Product, (iv) use of the Product in a manner that is inconsistent with RITE-HITE’s
guidelines or local building codes, (v) movement, settling, distortion, or collapse of the ground, or of improvements to
which the Products are affixed, (vi) fire, flood, earthquake, elements of nature or acts of God, riots, civil disorder, war, or
any other cause beyond the reasonable control of RITE-HITE, (vii) improper handling, storage, abuse, or neglect of the
Product by Owner or by any third party.
DISCLAIMERS THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS AND
WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND RITE-HITE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE. RITE-HITE SHALL NOT BE SUBJECT TO ANY
OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES, WHETHER ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT
(INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE AND STRICT LIABILITY) OR OTHER THEORIES OF LAW, WITH RESPECT TO THE
PRODUCTS SOLD OR SERVICES RENDERED BY RITE-HITE, OR ANY UNDERTAKINGS, ACTS, OR OMISSIONS
RELATING THERETO.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY IN NO EVENT SHALL RITE-HITE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, OR LIABLE TO ANYONE FOR,
SPECIAL, INDIRECT, COLLATERAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF RITE-HITE
HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Such excluded damages include, but are not limited
to, personal injury, damage to property, loss of goodwill, loss of profits, loss of use, cost of cover with any substitute
