S AT B LTS:
Only forward facing seats equipped with factory installed seat belts are to be occupied while the vehicle is in
motion. All passengers must be seated in these seats only, with the seat belts fastened while the vehicle is
in motion.
PROPAN :
Propane tanks shall not be placed or stored inside your vehicle. Propane tanks are equipped with safety
devices which relieve excessive pressure by discharging gas to the atmosphere.
To reduce the danger of fire or explosion do not store gasoline or other flammable liquids inside your vehicle.
nsure you purchase propane from a reputable propane facility. Contaminated propane is common cause of
system failure.
Do not refuel the propane tank to more than 80% of its capacity.
The propane tank valve must be closed and ALL PILOT LIGHTS, APPLIANC S AND TH IR IGNIT RS (see
Operating Instructions) MUST B TURN D OFF during refueling of motor fuel tank and/or the propane tank.
Only qualified personnel should refuel your propane tank.
APPLIANC S:
It is not safe to use cooking appliances for space heating purposes due to the danger of asphyxiation.
The propane stove needs fresh air for its safe operation.
Portable fuel burning equipment, including wood or charcoal grills and stoves, should NOT be used inside
your vehicle. Use of this type of equipment inside your vehicle may cause fire or asphyxiation.

Please see the TV operators manual for operating and storage parameters.
NGIN BATT RY:
The Chevrolet engine battery will be drawn down to a no-start condition in 10 to 14 days if left unattended.
This is not due to Roadtrek’s modifications. It is recommended to either plug the vehicle in, drive the vehicle
for at least three hours every two weeks to keep the engine and auxiliary batteries charged, or disconnect the
engine battery to keep it in good condition. Battery maintenance is the vehicle owner’s responsibility.
AUXILIARY BATT RY:
ffective June of 2010, all Roadtrek vehicles are equipped with AGM sealed auxiliary batteries. These do not
require checking or adding of fluids. ven so, battery acid can burn skin and damage clothing. Protective eye
wear and gloves should be worn when handling batteries.
R PLACING TH AUXILIARY BATT RY:
nsure that the inverter/charger is disconnected prior to disconnecting the auxiliary battery.
G N RATOR:
When launching a boat using your Roadtrek, be aware that the generator must not be submerged in water.
When using the generator as the main power source to run the appliances, refer to the generator owners

TH WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS IN THIS QUICK R F R NC AR AN OV RVI W AND TH R
AR MOR NOT S AND INSTRUCTIONS WITHIN THIS MANUAL.
190 Four-wheel-drive, (option).
QUADRA-V RSION FOUR-WH L DRIV
Made possible by the TWO-SP D TRANSF R CAS , provides maximum traction for the wheels of your van by
transmitting engine torque to all four wheels instead of just the two rear.
OP RATION
CAUTION: The vehicle should only be engaged in 4 Wheel
Drive for off road operation or when road or weather
conditions create poor traction. When you are operating the
vehicle on DRY roads keep the transfer case in 2H to
prevent excessive drive train wear.
NGAGING FOUR WH L DRIV
Front Axle Locking Feature - The front axle locks and
unlocks automatically when you shift the transfer case. A
short delay for the axle to lock or unlock is normal. If road
conditions provide good traction there may be a delay for
the axle to unlock.
Manual Transfer Case - The transfer case shift lever is on
the floor to the right of the driver. Use this lever to shift in and out of four-wheel drive.
The four-wheel drive indicator light will come on after you shift into four-wheel drive and the front axle engages.
2-Wheel High (2H): This setting is for driving in most street and highway situations. Your front axle is not engaged
in two-wheel drive.
4-Wheel High (4H): This setting engages your front axle for increased traction. Use 4H when you need extra
traction, such as on wet or icy roads, or in most off-road situaions.
You can shift from 2-WH L HIGH (2H) TO 4-WH L HIGH (4H) or from 4-WH L HIGH (4H) TO 2-WH L HIGH (2H)
while the vehicle is moving. Do not shift into 4H while accelerating. In extremely cold weather, it may be necessary
to stop or slow the vehicle to shift into 4-WH L HIGH (4H).
Neutral (N): Shift to this setting only when your vehicle needs to be towed or when using a power take-off. CAUTION:
To guard against vehicle moving while unattended, N V R park your vehicle with the transfer case in neutral.
4-Wheel Low (4L): This setting also engages your front axle for increased traction and the lower gear increases
power. It should be used only for off-road driving.
To shift into or out of 4-WH L LOW (4L) OR N UTRAL (N):
1. Slow the vehicle about 1 to 3mph (2 to 5 km/h) and shift into N UTRAL (N).
2. Shift the transfer case shift lever in one continuous motion. Do not pause in N UTRAL (N) as you shift
the transfer case into 4-WH L LOW (4L), or your gears could clash. This will require you to turn
engine off.
Remember that driving in 4-WH L HIGH (4H) or 4-WH L LOW (4L) may reduce fuel economy. Also, driving in
four-wheel on dry pavement could cause your tires to wear faster and make your transfer case harder to shift and run
noisier.
RETURN T F UR-WHEEL DRIVE
Shift the transfer case to the two-wheel drive position (2H), when the need for 4-wheel drive is no longer required.

CLOV RL AF/FOLDING DINING TABL :
The folding dining table is stored in its own compartment in
the Popular model and the cloverleaf table is stored in the
rear closet in the Versatile, (see Picture B-P3 for Popular
models and Picture B-P4 for Versatile models). For the
Popular, open the compartment door, pull out the folding
table and pivot it up to the horizontal position. Pull out the
additional support bar located on the front wall of the
wardrobe behind the driver seat, and extend the folding leaf.
In the Versatile, remove the table leg and place it in the floor
base receptacle located in front of the wardrobe. Place table
top on top of table leg (remember to bend your knees to
lift).
To use the “leaves”:
1. Pivot the table into the desired position.
2. In a seated position, with one hand on the top of
the table, use the other hand to unfold the desired
leaf to the upright position.
To return the “leaf” to its original position, follow these steps:
1. Hold the leaf with one hand.
2. With the other hand reach under the table and
carefully press on the center of the downward
facing part of the spring hinge.
3. Fold the leaf back into the stored position.
Caution: Cloverleaf dining table is heavy, bend your
knees while lifting.

The table top is stored under the driver side rear bed cushion in the dinette models, (see Picture B-P6 and B-P8). Place
the table top on top of the table leg, (see Picture B-P5 and B-P7). In the units with the optional power sofa, the dinette
table is located at the rear of the galley.
