Connecting to power
Carefully unpack the unit, which is supplied complete.
If the unit has been ordered with colour or twinkle facility, this is also already fitted.
Plug into the main power supply. 120v 50/60 Hz ONLY
Operation
Fully insert the chosen fibre bundle or harness into the light output point and secure firmly
with the grub screw. The unit is now ready for use, and the lamp is started by pushing the
small button situated above the power lead input at the rear.
Maintenance
The outside of the cabinet may be cleaned with a damp lint-free cloth.
In a dusty environment it is recommended that the interior assembly be inspected every three
months, to ensure that the cooling system is not impaired and that the lamp and reflector
surfaces are clean. Dirty lamp and reflector surfaces will reduce the light output and the lamp
life. They may be cleaned if necessary, with a soft dry brush, or a lint-free cloth and alcohol.
Replace the lamp at 6000 hour operation intervals. N.B. Do not touch the lamp or reflector
surfaces with bare fingers, as finger grease will cause hot spots and impair the function and
lamp life.
Changing the lamp:
1. Disconnect the unit from the main power supply.
2. Remove the covers.
3. Remove the retaining spring from the lamp.
4. Carefully remove the lamp and detach the lamp base.
5. Install a new lamp, Philips no. 14515, Cat.No. 65127595, reversing the above procedure.
Take care not to touch the lamp or reflector surfaces with bare fingers. Should this
accidentally happen, clean with alcohol as described above.
6. Replace the covers and check the operation.
Changing the colour wheel etc:
Disconnect the unit from the power supply, and remove the covers, to gain access to the
colour wheel assembly.
