BMW R1200GS AC Crashbar
Installation Guide
A qualified, experienced motorcycle technician should install Rockfox products. If you are unsure of your ability to properly install a product, please
have the product installed by your local motorcycle dealer. Rockfox takes no responsibility for damages caused by improper installation. All screws,
bolts and nuts, including all replacement hardware provided by Rockfox, should be tightened to the torque specified in the OEM maintenance
manual for your motorcycle. If no torque specifications are provided in the OEM maintenance manual, the following torques may be used: M6 –
9,6Nm; M8 –23Nm; M10 – 46Nm. All screws, bolts and nuts should be checked after driving the first 50 km to ensure that all are tightened to the
proper torque. Medium strength liquid thread-locker (i.e., "Locktite") should be used to secure all screws bolts and nuts.
Tools required: M10 Allen key
M8 Allen key
M6 Allen key
10mm Spanner
Colour and finish may vary from photos.
Step 1
Remove the screw that holds the drain hose on the left. Insert the crossbar making
sure it angles downwards and attach with the supplied bolts.
Step 2
Attach the tank protection to the crossbar with the
supplied M10 bolts. Do not tighten the bolts fully
yet.

Step 3
Attach the top of the tank protector to the steel
brace found underneath the front beak with the
supplied M6 bolts.
Step 4
Insert the centre piece into the tank protection
NB (As we are constantly enhancing our products
some centre pieces might be supplied as bent Fit
these as per normal with the machined flat facing
the grubscrews. PLEASE USE LOCKTIGHT ON
GRUBSCREWS)
Repeat Steps 2, 3, 4 for the other side. Then tighten all the bolts. Inserting the
grubsrews to secure the centre piece.
Step 5
Insert the left tappet guard into the frame as shown above using the supplied M10
screws to attach it to the engine. Please see below which spacer is used on which
side.
P EASE NOTE: eft side 10mm Aluminium spacer.
Right side 5mm Aluminium spacer
Repeat Step 5 for the right hand side.

Attach the top of the
tapper guard to the
tank protection with the
supplied.
As a precaution go through all bolts and nuts and tighten as needed.
Final product
Please contact us if any problem or if bars are difficult to fit.
