should not be modified or used for any manner not described in these instructions. Use only
recommended accessories. Before using the Wireless Speaker Kit: READ, UNDERSTAND

Assembly
The Wireless Speaker Kit, which includes one
speaker unit with connector wires and one
control unit, can be mounted in solid material
or in a hollow or box-type structure.
If the two components are to be installed back
to back, the distance from the front of the
material or box to the back must be at least 2"
but no more than 12" to allow wire connections
to be made.
1. Use a coping or scroll saw or a drill with
a Forstner bit (55985, sold separately) or
hole saw to cut a 17⁄8" diameter hole for
mounting the speaker and control units.

2. Press fit or, if desired, epoxy the
speaker unit into the front of the mounting
structure. Make sure you will have access
to the color-coded wires/connectors. Be
sure to wipe away any excess epoxy.
3. Connect the wires from the speaker unit to
the control unit, pressing the red connector
at the end of one set of wires into the red
port on the back of the control unit and the
white connecter on the other set of wires
into the white port. Fig. 2.
4. Push the wires inside the opening and
press fit or epoxy the control unit into
the rear mounting hole.
Recommended
interior dimensions of speaker
enclosure: 31⁄4" x 31⁄4" x 23⁄8".
When working
with epoxy, make sure the area is
well-ventilated, wear nitrile gloves and
use an applicator. Avoid contact with
skin or clothing.

Connecting to Your Device
1. Charge the speaker by plugging the small
end of the included USB cord into the
control unit and the other end into
a power source.
2. Once the battery is charged, disconnect
the speaker. Make sure Bluetooth®
connectivity is enabled on your device.
3. Turn on the speaker by pressing and
holding the button on the back of the
control unit for three seconds. The blue
LED will blink.
4. When you open your device, “My BT
Speaker” should appear onscreen.
Select it and wait for the connection to
be established. Once a connection is
established, the blue LED will blink
quickly and you will hear a tone.
Operating Controls
On/off: Press and hold the button on the
back of the control unit.
Play/Pause: Press and release to pause
or play.
Forward/back: To advance to the next audio
file, press and release the button. To
go back to the previous audio file, press and
release the button.
Volume up/down: The speaker volume can
be controlled at the speaker or through the app
that you are using to play audio. To increase
volume at the speaker, press and hold the
button. To decrease volume, press
and hold the button.
Auxiliary Input Jack: Allows you to connect a
device via cable. Accepts a 3.5mm plug.
The LED indicator
light will be red while the battery is
charging and go off when the battery
is fully charged. Battery life is up to
four hours.
