Speaker.

1. Fully charge the battery with the
Rocksteady OFF before first use (see
‘Charging your Rocksteady’ on Page 5).
2. Do not store your Rocksteady for extended
periods of time while the battery is drained.

Charging Your Rocksteady
Fully charge your Rocksteady before initial use. The
Rocksteady charges via the Micro-USB port (cable
included).
Use a standard 5.0-5.3 volt USB wall or car charger
operating at up to 2.1 Amps to charge.
While charging, the LED light under the battery
compartment will glow RED (unit is off), or PURPLE
(unit is on).
When charging is complete, the LED light will turn
off (unit is off), or BLUE (unit is on)
Charging a fully drained battery using a 1 Amp
charger should take approximately 4 hours.
LED Light
The base of the Rocksteady contain an LED light
which communicates the status of the device.
Solid Blue –Rocksteady is on and ready to play or
is currently playing
Flashing Blue –Rocksteady is on and is in
Bluetooth® pairing mode
Solid Red –Rocksteady is OFF, plugged in and
is charging

Solid Purple –The Rocksteady is charging and is
ON, ready to play
Plugged in, OFF, and No Light –Rocksteady is
fully charged
How to Connect to Bluetooth®
First time or new device:
1. Press and hold the MODE button for 3
seconds to enter pairing mode at any time
2. On your source device, enable Bluetooth
and scan for available devices in the
Bluetooth settings menu
3. Select ‘Rocksteady’from the list of available
devices
The Rocksteady will automatically reconnect with
up to 2 of the last 4 devices it is paired to (DJ
Mode) –Try it!
NOTES: The Rocksteady will automatically scan for
previously paired devices and attempt to reconnect
automatically. After 30 seconds from turning on, if
it fails to find a device to reconnect to, it will
automatically enter pairing mode.

Reconnecting your device:
1. Turn on the Rocksteady
2. Most devices will automatically reconnect
(The Rocksteady recalls the last 4 paired
devices)
3. If your device does not connect
automatically, select Rocksteady from the
Bluetooth settings menu of available
devices
Playing Music or Audiobooks from USB Drive
1. Turn on the Rocksteady
2. Insert USB drive and press mode once to
enter into USB play mode
3. Control tracks via the buttons on the front
of the Rocksteady speaker
4. Toggle between shuffle mode and regular
mode by holding the Next Track button for
3 seconds
Playing using the 3.5mm Cable
1. Plug in 3.5mm cable (included) from your
device to “Line In” on back of Rocksteady
2. Turn on Rocksteady
3. Press mode once to enter into Line-In
mode
4. Play Music on your source device; control
music from your source device only

Using the Speakerphone
1. While connected via Bluetooth to the
Rocksteady, answer an incoming call by
tapping the Play/Pause button on the front
of the Rocksteady
2. Control the volume from the Rocksteady
and from the source device for best results
3. End the call by pressing the Play button
again
DJ Mode
The Rocksteady will connect with up to 2 source
devices simultaneously via Bluetooth.
Following the connecting instructions on pages 6 of
this manual, turn on the Rocksteady with your 2
devices nearby and in Bluetooth mode.
The Rocksteady will play music from one device at
a time; pausing the stream on one device allows
the other device to take over control.
Note: The Rocksteady can recall the last 4 devices
paired to it. The order they were paired will
determine its priority in reconnecting.

Sleep Mode
To conserve battery life, the Rocksteady speaker
will enter sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity.
To awaken the speaker, press the “Mode” button or
turn the speaker off then on again.
Adaptor Plate Instructions
(Adaptor is included with the Optional round
bar mount, flat surface mount, or cup holder
mount)
The battery compartment has two inlets for
attaching the mounting adaptor. Inserting the
teeth on the adaptor into the opening and slide
back.
Secure the Rocksteady by pulling the elastic strap
over the top of the speaker, connecting it to the
opposite side of the adaptor.
Loosen the screw-ring and attach it to the mount.
Tighten when the desired angle has being
achieved.

Troubleshooting Bluetooth®
Unable to Pair to Bluetooth® device
1. Make sure the source device has
Bluetooth® capability
2. If pairing while multiple devices are
present, connect only one device at a time
with other paired devices out of range or
disabled
3. Make sure the Rocksteady is charged and
in the “On” position
4. Reboot your Bluetooth® source device, and
power off then on your Rocksteady
5. Newer Bluetooth® devices will not require
a pin. Should a pin be prompted, enter
0000
Water and Splash Resistant (Rocksteady 2.0
only; part #’s XS3100 and CB3050)
The Rocksteady is designed to perform when
exposed to water. It is not intended to be
submerged or left exposed to water for
extended periods of time. If the Rocksteady
becomes over saturated, remove the battery & let
both the speaker & battery dry thoroughly before
re-use.

Safety Information
Please read these safety warnings and cautions carefully to
ensure your personal safety and to prevent property damage.
Fire and Electric Shock Hazard
• Do not charge or use your Rocksteady while it is exposed to
liquid, moisture, high levels of humidity, or rain. Do not use the
Rocksteady speaker while submerged or in water.
Exposure of the while charging while the Rocksteady speaker is
wet could result in electric shock or product failure.
• Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform,
puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign
objects in to the Rocksteady speaker.
Such actions could result in electric shock or product failure.
• Clean the Rocksteady speaker only with a dry cloth.
• Do not expose your Rocksteady speaker to extremely high or
low temperatures.
• Do not leave your Rocksteady speaker in direct sunlight for
extended periods of time.
• Do not leave your Rocksteady speaker near open flames such
as cooking burners, candles, or fireplaces.

Battery/Charger Hazard
• Do not dispose of your Battery/Charger in the trash. Please
dispose at a certified recycling center.
• Do not dispose of your Rocksteady in a fire. The battery could
explode causing injury or death.
• Only charge the battery in accordance with the user
instructions supplied with the Rocksteady.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the Rocksteady charger or force
open the built-in battery.
• Do not charge the Rocksteady in damp areas or in extremely
high or low temperatures.
• Do not clean the Rocksteady when it is being charged. Always
unplug the charger pryor to cleaning.

NOTE: This warranty is valid only if the product is used for the purpose
for which it was designed. It does not cover (i) products which have been
damaged by negligence or willful actions, misuse or accident, or which
have been modified or repaired by unauthorized persons; (ii) cracked or
broken cabinets, or units damaged by excessive heat; (iii) damage to
digital media players, CD’s or tape cassettes (if applicable); (iv) the cost
of shipping this product to the Factory Service Center and its return to the
