1. INTRODUCTION
The ME-1 enclosure is made from metal sheet and painted with powder coating. Originally, it was
designed for CPR32-NET and PR402DR/PR411DR DIN rail units however it can be used for other
RACS system components which are mounted straight on the rear wall of the enclosure e.g.:
CPR32-SE-BRD, PR402-BRD, PR402DR-BRD and PR411DR-BRD. The ME-1 enclosure has built-in
18V/40VA power transformer, tamper contact and can accommodate 12V/7Ah a backup battery.

2. INSTALLATION
The power transformer used in ME-1 enclosure is designed for continuous operation and doesn’t
have a supply switch. The electric circuit used to supply transformer must be equipped with
adequate overload protection and allow easy disconnection from the 230VAC mains without
necessity of modifications of existing wiring. It is necessary to instruct the end user about the
method of disconnecting from the mains voltage, e.g. by means of designated fuse in the
switchboard. Electrical installation must be completed in accordance with valid regulations and
standards. In case when enclosure is dedicated for installation of non-rail devices the T35 rail can
be removed . Enclosure should to be mounted on a vertical part of construction in a location
protected from moisture, dust and in which assures nominal operating conditions required for the
enclosure and device installed inside. The 230VAC power supply cable must enter the enclosure
through the dedicated cable bushing and be connected to 230VAC L-N transformer terminals while
the PE protective conductor should be connected to screw terminal with ground symbol.
Note: The enclosure should to be installed by a qualified person with adequate
permission for 230VAC mains and low-voltage installations. Before installation and
maintenance, make sure that the 230VAC mains is disconnected. It is forbidden to
use this equipment without proper and effective electric shock protection otherwise
it may cause damage to device and/or fatal human injuries (e.g. electric shock).
