IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
•READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
•Please read these operating instructions thoroughly before first operating the
grill and keep them in a sate place.
•If you pass this appliance on to a third party, these operating instructions must
also be handed over.
•Incorrect operation and handling can lead to malfunction of the appliance and
injures to user.
•This appliance is not suitable for commercial use or for use in the open air.
•Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the current
and power supply comply with the specifications on the type plate.
•Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use
and before cleaning.
•Parts of the appliance become hot during use. Therefore, the appliance must
only be held by the handle.
•Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids.
There is danger to life due to electric shock!
•Children are unable to recognize the hazards associated with incorrect
handling of electrical appliances. Therefore, children should never use electric

household appliances unsupervised.
•Do not use the appliance if the mains cable or plug shows signs of damage, if
the appliance has fallen on the floor or has otherwise been damaged. In such
cases take the appliance to an authorized specialist for checking and repair
•Ensure that the mains cable is not hung-over sharp edges and keep it away
from hot objects and open flames.
•Ensure that the mains cable is not pressed between the baking plates or
touch the baking plate edge in normal use
•Place the appliance on a stable, level surface and not dose to hot objects or
open flames (e.g. hot plates).
•Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
•The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is
operating.
•Bread may bum. Therefore, roasters not used near or below curtains and
combustible materials. They must be watched.
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
•Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
•This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications

such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised.
•Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years
•Do not lock the Storage Lock when the appliance is in use.

BEFORE FIRST USE
•Read these instructions before use and keep them safe. If you pass the grill
on, pass on the instructions too.
•Remove all packaging, but keep it until you are satisfied that the grill is
working.
•Unlock the Storage Lock, open the appliance then clean the grill surfaces and
drip tray with a soft damp cloth and then dry them.
•Unwind the power cord completely and insert the power plug into a grounded
wall outlet.
•The grill is now ready for the preheating cycle.
Notice: When your Grill Toaster is heated for the first time, it may emit slight
smoke or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not
affect the safety of your appliance.
HOW TO USE
•Connect the appliance to an appropriate socket.
•The control lights illuminate and the toasting surfaces heat up.
•The appliance must be heated up before grilling, In the meantime prepare
your food.

•As soon as the appliance has heated up, the control light goes out.
•You can now begin grilling.
•Open the appliance cover completely
•Place the food on the cooking plate and close the cover.
•Caution; If the foods have too much filling on, it will not be possible to close
the appliance. Take some of the filling off. Never use force to close the
appliance.
•During toasting the temperature regulating thermostat switches off and on
again. The control light also switches off and on again.
•After completion of the grilling process open the top cover and remove the
foods with the help of a flat wooden or plastic spatula. Never use sharp or
metal object like knives, metal spatulas and etc. as this will damage the
Teflon coating.
•If you wish to grill more food, close the appliance again and wait until the
toasting surfaces have reheated sufficiently.
•When the control light illuminates again you can repeat the toasting process
as described above.
•After cooking, disconnect the mains plug, and let it cool down with the applian
ce open.
Caution:
The grilling surfaces as well as the sides and top of the appliance get very
hot. Avoid any contact. Danger of burning! Only hold by the handle. The
appliance must always be positioned horizontally during use.

To Use as a Contact Grill
•Prepare the burgers, boneless pieces of meat and thin cuts of meat or other
foods as directed and place it onto the bottom cooking plate.
•Close the top cooking plate which has a floating hinge that is designed to
evenly press down on the food. The top plate must be fully lowered to achieve
Grill marks on the selected foods.
•When the foods are cooked use the handle to open the lid. Remove the food
with the help of a plastic spatula. Never use metal tongs or a knife as these
can cause damage to the non-stick coating of the cook plates.
•Use the Grill Toaster as a contact grill to cook burgers, boneless pieces of
meat and thin cuts of meat and vegetables.
•Use the Grill-Toaster as a contact grill when you want to cook something in a
short amount of time or when you are looking for a healthy method of grilling.
When cook on the contact grill, food will cook quickly because you are grilling
both sides of the food at the same time. The ribs on the grill plates combined
with the grease spout at the corner of the plate allow the grease to drip from
the meat and drain off the plates.
To Use as Press grill
•Prepare the sandwiches as directed and place it onto the bottom cooking
plate. Always place sandwiches towards the rear of the bottom cooking plate.
•Close the top cooking plate which has a floating hinge that is designed to
evenly press down on the sandwich. The top plate must be fully lowered to
cook sandwiches.
•Cook for about 3 to 6 minutes or until golden brown, adjusting the time to suit
your own individual taste.

•When the sandwich is cooked use the handle to open the lid. Remove the
sandwich with the help of a plastic spatula. Never use metal tongs or a knife
as these can cause damage to the non-stick coating of the cook plates.
•Use the Grill Toaster as a Press grill to grill sandwiches, breads, and
quesadillas.
•The Grill Toaster was designed with a unique handle and hinge that allows
the cover to adjust to the thickness of the food. You can easily grill anything
from a thinly-sliced potato to a thick sirloin steak with even results.
•When cooking more than one food item in the contact grill, it is important that
the thickness of food items is consistent so the cover will close evenly on the
food.
CLEANING
•Firstly, disconnect the mains plug!
•Only clean when the appliance has completely cooled down.
•Clean the housing surface and the toasting surfaces of the sandwich toaster
with a soft, damp cloth.
•It is easiest to remove toast or food crumbs with a very soft brush.
•Never use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (e.g.scrubbing brush or
knife) for cleaning.
•Caution: Do not immerse the appliance in water of other liquids. There is
danger to life due to electric shock.
•After usage,please lock the storage lock in order for easy storing.

PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC.
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a
dealer providing this service.
Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative
consequences for the environment and health, deriving form inappropriate disposal
and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in
energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances
separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.
