About the demo projects saved on the
hard disk
The demo projects saved on the hard disk when the MV-8000 is shipped from the
factory is different from the demo project on the included “backup CD-ROM.” The two
projects differ as follows.
The demo projects (“MVDEMO_SONG1” and “RealityCheck”) saved on the internal
hard disk are not contained in the included backup CD-ROM or the sample data CD-
ROM. If you format (initialize) the hard disk or delete the file or folder, there is no
way to recover these demo projects. As a safeguard against losing or damaging the
demo projects due to some problem, please back-up the demo projects.
The procedure for backing-up to a CD-R/RW disc is described in “Backup Project to
CD screen” in the owner's manual. For details on backing-up to your computer, refer
to “Using data of other formats” in the owner’s manual.
To hear the demo project provided on the backup
CD-ROM
1.
Press .
The PROJECT MENU screen will appear.
2.
With the cursor located in the upper row of icons, press (Recover).
Alternatively, you can select the RECOVER FROM CD icon and press
.
The RECOVER PROJECT FROM CD screen will appear. Verify the name of the project
stored on the CD-R/RW disc.
3.
Set the New Project on Hard Disk parameter
to the name of the project you want to restore.
By default, the project will be recovered with the
project name that is stored on the CD-R/RW disc. If
you want to recover this project as a differently-
named project, you can edit the name.
4.
Press (Execute).
Recovery will begin. When recovery is completed, the project will be saved on the hard
disk, and the backup CD will be ejected.
5.
Load the recovered project.

a project” in the owner's manual.
6.
Play back the demo project.
For details on how to play back the demo project, refer to “Playing your songs” in the
owner's manual.
