このたびは HDP35 シリーズのハード・ディスク・ドライブ・ユニット（以後は「ハード・ディスク」と略します）
をお買い上げいただき、誠にありがとうございます。

本製品の型番「HDP35-
✻G」の ✻Gは、ハード・ディ
スクの容量を示しています。
例えば、型番「HDP35-40G」は、40GBの容量を示します。
■ 使用上のご注意
•ハード・ディスクは消耗品です。ハード・ディスクの
故障に備えて大切な記憶内容は、Zip ディスクやロー
ランドが指定したCD-R/RWレコーダーなどに保存す
ることをお奨めします。
•このハード・ディスクは、ローランドが指定した機器
に限って使用することができます。その他の機器（エ
ディロール インターナショナル製 DV-7、パーソナ
ル・コンピューターなど）では使用できません。
•ハード・ディスクは精密機器です。お使いの機器に
ハード・ディスクを内蔵したときは、取り扱いに細心
の注意が必要です。特に以下のような事柄は、ハー
ド・ディスクに記録されているデータだけでなく、
ハード・ディスク自身を壊してしまうことにもなりま
す。
○ 落下させて衝撃を与える。
○ 使用中に振動を与える。
○ 電源を入れたまま移動する。
•直射日光の当たる場所や、発熱する機器の近く、閉め
切った車内などに放置しないでください。変形、変色
することがあります。
•極端な温湿度の変化は、ハード・ディスクの故障につ
ながります。特に高温多湿の場所から急激に冷たい場
所へ移動した場合、ハード・ディスク内部に水滴がつ
き、故障の原因となりますのでおやめください。また
気温の低い場所から急激に暖かい場所へ移動すると、
ハード・ディスクの外側に水滴がつくときがありま
す。このまま使用すると故障の原因となりますので、
万一水滴がついた場合は、数時間放置して乾いたこと
を確認してから使用してください。
•ハード・ディスクの動作中は電源を切らないでくださ
い。
•お客様がこの機器を分解、改造された場合、以後の性
能について保証できなくなります。また、修理をお断
りする場合もあります。
•修理をするとき記憶内容が失われます。大切な記憶内
容は、Zip ディスクやローランドが指定した CD-R/
RW レコーダーなどに保存しておいてください。
•記憶した内容は、機器の故障や誤った操作などによ
り、失われることがあります。失っても困らないよう
に、大切な記憶内容はバックアップとして Zip ディス
クやローランドが指定したCD-R/RWレコーダーなど
に保存しておいてください。
•ハード・ディスクやZip ディスク、CD-R/RW レコー
ダーなどの失われた記憶内容の修復に関しましては、
補償を含めご容赦願います。

■ ロックをかける
お使いの機器にハード・ディスクを取り付けたら、ハード・ディスクがはずれないようにロックを
かけます。
1. 硬貨などをキーに差し込み、時計方向に回します。
「カチッ」と音が鳴るまで回すと、ロックがかかります。

Owner’s Manual
Thank you for purchasing a HDP35 series hard disk drive unit (referred to in this manual as the hard disk).
■ Contents of the Package

■ About hard disk size
" ✻ G" in the model name of this product ("HDP35- ✻ G")
stands for the size of the hard disk.
For instance, "HDP35-40G" is 40GB hard disk.
■ IMPORTANT NOTES
• Please note that the hard disk is a consuming
product. To protect yourself against the risk of
loosing important data by accidental disk damage,
we recommend that you periodically save a backup
copy on the storage device (e.g., Zip disk or CD-R/
RW recorder which is designated by Roland).
• This hard disk is for use only by the device which is
designated by Roland. It cannot be used by other
devices (e.g., Edirol International DV-7, personal
computer, etc.).
• Hard disks are precision devices. When an internal
hard disk has been installed in your device, handle it
with special care. In particular, the following actions
will damage not only the data recorded on the hard
disk, but also the hard disk itself.
• Dropping or jarring the unit
• Vibrating the unit during operation
• Moving the unit with the power turned on
•Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, place it near
devices that radiate heat, leave it inside an enclosed
vehicle, or otherwise subject it to temperature
extremes. Excessive heat can deform or discolor the
unit.
• Avoid using the unit immediately after it has been
moved to a location with a level of temperature and
humidity that is greatly different than its former
location. Especially, if you move the unit rapidly
from hot and humid place to cold place, condensation
may form inside the hard disk and damage the
unit.Or if you move the unit rapidly from cold place
to warmer place, condensation may form outside the
hard disk drive and adversely affect the operation of
the drive and/or damage the unit.When the unit has
been moved, allow it to become accustomed to the
new environment (allow a few hours) before
operating it.
• Do not turn off the power while the hard disk is
operating.
• If repairs are performed on the hard disk, the stored
contents will be lost. Backup important data to a Zip
disk or a CD-R/RW recorder which is designated by
Roland.
• Please be aware that the contents of memory can be
irretrievably lost as a result of a malfunction, or the
improper operation of the unit. To protect yourself
against the risk of loosing important data, we
recommend that you periodically save a backup copy
of important data you have stored in the unit’s
memory on a Zip disk or a CD-R/RW recorder which
is designated by Roland.
• Unfortunately, it may be impossible to restore the
contents of data that was stored on a hard disk, a Zip
disk or a CD-R/RW recorder once it has been lost.

lead the manual of your device.
Before using this unit, carefully read the sections
entitled: “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” and
“IMPORTANT NOTES”. Additionally, in order to feel
assured that you have gained a good grasp of every
feature provided by your new unit, Owner’s Manual
should be read in its entirety. The manual should be
saved and kept on hand as a convenient reference.
■ Lock
After you install the hard disk to the unit you use, please lock it to fix.
1. Apply a coin, etc. to the lock and turn it clockwise until it clicks and it is locked correctly.
