Step 1: Headrail
Measure your inside or outside mount. Deduct correct measurement (see table below) from the width of
your mount.
This is the size you want to cut your headrail
Step 2: Cut Tube, Fabric & Hem Bar
(see table below for deductions)
2a. Cut tube width of Headrail minus the deductions for the brackets. (Deductions shown below are total for
two brackets)
2b. Cut Fabric and Hem Bar as you would a clutch operated roller shade

Step 3: Attach Hem Bar to Fabric and Fabric to tube
Step 4: Insert Spring & Stop (1-1/4” (32mm) shown. (see Spring Selection tables)
4a. Insert Spring into the left side of the tube (unless reverse roll)
4b. Insert Stop into the right side of the tube (unless reverse roll)

Align grooves on top and bottom of
spring into grooves on the inside of the
tube.
If using 1-1/2” (38mm), the spring
will look like this
When using the 1-1/4” Stop, it is
recommended to use the larger of the
two stops available (item # RE0081300)
unless width of window is too short to fit
both the stop and spring in the tube.
If using 1-1/2” (38mm), the stop will
look like this
Step 5: Pre-rotate Spring
Using pre-rotation tool, engage tool into the plastic tab on the inside of
the spring and rotate the spring clockwise the desired number of turns
(see pre-rotation chart on following pages)

Step 6 Install Brackets and tube into headrail
6a. Insert one bracket into the headrail and use screws provided to lock in place
6b. Insert tube on bracket
6c. Insert other bracket onto tube and slide into headrail and use screws provided to lock in place

Align wings on bracket with the
grooves in the top of the headrail
Slide bracket wings all the way into
the headrail and attach with
provided screws
When aligning the bracket with the headrail for
attachment, make sure the screws flow through the holes
in the bracket directly into the small grooves in the
headrail.
1st bracket – align slot in bracket
with tab in spring
2nd bracket -position tube
under headrail and slide bracket
into headrail until bracket is
fully engaged into spring inside
tube
