PHONOFUNCTION
1. TurntheFunctionKnob(1)toPhono.
2. RemoveanypackagingfromtheTurntable.
3. Removetheplasticprotectivecover(30)fromthestylus(29)andunlocktheToneArm
(27)byreleasingtheLockClip(28).
4. Placeyourrecordontotheturntableplatter(21).
5. Selecttheturntablespeedbyslidingthe33/45/78rpmswitch(26)ontherightsideof
theturntable.
6. LiftuptheToneArm,moveittowardstherotatingturntableandgentlyplaceitover
therecordwhereyouwishittostartplaying.
7. LowertheToneArmwiththeCueLever(24).Ifyouwanttostoptherecordplaying,lift
uptheToneArmwiththeCueLeverandplaceitbackontheArmRest(28).


AUTOSTOPFUNCTION
1. Ifyouwanttheturntablemechanismtostopautomaticallyattheendoftherecord,
ensuretheAutoStopSwitch(26)isintheONposition.
2. Ifarecordstopsplayingbeforetheendoftherecord,switchtheAutoStopSwitchto
theOFFposition.Theturntablemechanismwillcontinuetospinandtherecordwill
finishplayingtotheend.
Note:Placethe45rpmSpindleAdaptor(23)onthecentrespindlebeforeplacinga45rpm
recordontotheturntable,butonlyifthecentreclipismissing.


LINE‐INFUNCTION
ItispossibletoconnectotherAudioPlayersviathe3.5mmdia.Line‐inJack(4)andplaythe
musicthroughthespeakersoftheMusicCentre.

CASSETTEFUNCTION
PlayingATape
TheCassettePlayercanplaybacknormallengthCassettetapes(80minutes).
1. TurntheFunctionKnob(1)toTape/LineIn,theninsertacassettetapeintothe
cassetteslotonthesidepanel(32),ensuringitisinsertedcorrectly.
2. Pushthecassettetapeinanditwillautomaticallystartplaying.
3. PresstheEjectButton(33)gentlytoskipforwardandfullypressthisbuttontoejectthe
tape.

Note:Makesurethedirectioniscorrectwheninsertingthetape.Somesearchingnoisewill
beheard–thisisnormal.
Removethetapeaftereachuse.



4. TurnPowerON/OFF/VolumeKnob(3)clockwisetillyouhearaclick.


14. CareandMaintenance

1. Donotattempttoremovethecoveroraccesstheinteriorofthisproduct.Thereare
nouser‐serviceablepartsinsideandthelampsaresolderedintoplace.
2. Onlyasuitablyqualifiedpersonshouldservicethisproduct.
3. Oncethisproductiseventuallyexhausted,pleasedisposeofitappropriately.

CompactDiscCare
Toremoveadiscfromitsstoragecase,pressdownonthecentreofthecaseandliftthedisc
out,holdingitcarefullybytheedges.Fingerprintsanddustshouldbecarefullywipedoff
thedisc’ssurfacewithasoftcloth.Wipeinastraightlinefromtheinsidetotheoutsideof
thedisc.
Cleanthediscperiodicallywithasoft,lint‐free,drycloth.Neverusedetergentsorabrasive
cleanerstocleanthedisc.Donotfixlabelstothesurfaceofthediscsorwriteonthem
exceptwithspecialistCD‐Rpens.














CassetteCare
Twocommoncausesoftroubleexperiencedwhenusingcassettesare:
a. Tapejamming,leadingtounevenspeedduringplayback.
b. Tapeentangling,whenthetapewrapsitselfaroundvitalpartsofthemechanism.
Toavoidtheseproblemsoccurring,takethefollowingprecautions:
•Checkthattherearenolooselayersoftapevisiblethroughthecassettecentre
window(seebelow)











•Takeupanylooselayers,usingapencilorhexagonallybarrelledballpointpen,
beforeinsertingthecassette(seebelow)
















Pleasenote:ifthecassettefeelstightwhilsttakinguptheselooselayers,thetapemay
bejammingduetoridgesformedinthewindingofthetape(visiblethroughthecentre
window).Inmostcases,thesemayberemovedbyfastrewindingofthecassettefrom
oneendtotheotherandbackagain.Themanufacturerrecommendsthatonlywell
knownbrandsofcassettesareused.Donotexposecassettestodirectsunlight,dustor
oil,andtakecarenottotouchtapesurfaces.




StylusReplacement/Refit
ToremovetheStylusfromtheToneArm,holdtheToneArmheadsteadywhilegrabbing
theredplasticStylusholderwithtwofingersthengentlypullthecompletestylusholder
straighttowardsyouandoffthesilvercartridge,asshown.










Toreplace/refittheStylus,holdthesidesoftheredplasticstylusholder,ensuringthe
needleisfacingdownwards.Gentlypushthebackofthestylusholderstraightagainstthe
silvercartridgeattheendoftheToneArmuntilyouaresureitissecurelyfitted.Refitthe
protectiveneedlecoverifrequired.











Pleasenote:Areplacementuniversal(45/331/3/78rpm)oraspecial78rpmStylusisavailable
fromsomedealersandthemanufacturer.AlwayshandletheStyluswithcareasthe
Sapphireneedletipiseasilydamaged.WhentransportingtheTurntableitisadvisableto
refittheprotectiveneedlecoveruntiltheunitisgoingtobeusedagain.Whenremovingor
re‐fittingtheStylus,alwaysbecarefulnottoputtoomuchpressureontheStylusHolder
andTONEARM(33)cartridgetoavoidanypossibledamagetothem.





