Thank you for purchasing our product. Please observe
the text and images in this manual in order to use the
product correctly. Prior to startup, read the installation
instructions in particular.
The camera is an optional process monitoring com-
ponent of Rotoclear S3. It can only be operated in
conjunction with the equipment included in the supplied
scope. Therefore, please also consult the operating inst-
ructions of Rotoclear S3.
Keep this user manual securely stored at the operating
location of the equipment. The user manual is protected
by copyrights held by Rotoclear GmbH.

使用目的
工作機械では、加工中に発生する熱を排出するために、
クーラントを使用します。
クーラントは、加工ツールやワークの回転運動によって
弾き飛ばされ、機械のキャビン内部や内部監視用の窓に
液により幕を形成します。
その結果として、外からの視界は遮られます。
ロトクリアは、工作機械の窓の内側に取付けられます。
ロトクリアのロータは、回転する事で降りかかるクーラ
ントや切粉を弾き飛ばします。
これにより視界がクリアになり、セットアップや機械加
工のプロセスが明確に観察できます。
図１に示すように、カメラは工作機械の窓(Ａ)とロトク
リアのステータの固定ガラス(Ｂ)の間の隙間に位置しま
す。(Ｄ)は、接着バージョンの接着部目隠し用のカバー
パネルです。
カメラヘッドは機械の内部である②の方向を向きます。
①が、オペレータ側になります。
機械内部の希望する領域を映すために、カメラヘッドは
水平/垂直方向に向きを調整できます。
クーラントや切粉を弾き飛ばすロトクリアのロータ(Ｃ)
の内側に配置される事で、カメラは良好な視界を得る事
ができます。
ロトクリアとロトクリアビジョンの用途は、フライス
盤、工作機械、マシニングセンタ、CNC旋盤、検査スタン
ドでの使用を対象としています。
クーラントジェット（ノズル）は意図的に直接ロトクリ
アに向けないで下さい。
水やクーラントに、完全又は部分的に浸された状態では
ロトクリアは使用しないで下さい。
ロトクリア内に液体が浸入している場合は、ロトクリア
S3の取付け状態と運転状態を確認して下さい。
カメラは水の飛沫（保護等級IP64）から保護されていま
す。しかしそれにも関わらず、液状の物はカメラを故障
させる可能性があります。

The type plate is an integral element of the equipment.
Any modication of the equipment, including removing
the type plate, voids the conformity and warranty.
Intended use
Machine tools use coolant to evacuate heat generated
during machining. Coolant is propelled by the rotational
motion of the tool or workpiece and forms a lm on the
interior of the safety enclosure and/or its inspection
windows.
The view is impaired as a result. Rotoclear is mounted
on the inside of the existing inspection window of the
machine tool door. The rotating window or the rotor of
Rotoclear propels the coolant lm and chips that collect
in the enclosure away to the outside. This creates a clear
line of sight to the setup and machining process.

Figure 1 shows how the Rotoclear Vision camera
is installed in the interior. It is located between the
machine window (A) with cover (D) and stator window
(B). The camera is oriented toward the interior of the
machine (2). The operator side is marked with (1). The
camera head can be oriented horizontally and vertically
to capture the desired area of the machine’s interior.
By being positioned behind the rotating window (C), the
camera also has a clear view of the interior.
The intended use for Rotoclear and therefore also for
Rotoclear Vision exclusively covers use in milling machi-
nery, machine tools, machining centers, CNC lathes, and
inspection stands. Do not direct the coolant jet directly
and intentionally against the inspection window.
Do not operate the equipment fully or partially sub-
merged in water or coolant. Check the installation
parameters of Rotoclear S3 if the equipment is pene-
trated by liquid. The camera is protected against spray
water (protection class IP64). However, any form of liquid
can nevertheless cause the camera to fail.

Part preparation
Remove camera from packaging. Ensure cleanliness
when unpacking. Keep all parts on a clean surface or in
their original packaging.
The camera has an adjustable camera head that can be
positioned to point at the desired operating area. The
camera head is positioned once before the camera is
installed.

カ メラでモニターする領域を決定します。
カメラには広角レンズが装備されていますが、必要とする監
視領域をカバーするためにカメラヘッドを最適な向きに調整
する必要がある場合があります。
カメラのレンズの位置と作業領域（監視したい領域）の中心
を結ぶ線の、水平方向と垂直方向の角度の目安をつけます。
図2に示すハウジングの背面側（レンズ側）の6本のトルクス
ボルトT5 (A)を緩めた状態で、カメラヘッドの向きを調整し
ます。6本のボルトは完全には取外さず、緩めるだけでレン
ズを保持しているボールジョイントによりヘッドの向きを変
えられます。

Determine the workspace area to be monitored by the
camera. The camera is equipped with a wide-angle lens.
It may nevertheless be necessary to appropriately point
the camera in order to monitor the desired area.
Estimate the horizontal and vertical angle between the
position of Rotoclear S3 and the center of the work-
space.
As shown in Figure 2, the camera head is adjusted by
loosening, but not completely removing, the six screws
(a) on the backside (camera side). The ball joint can now
move freely. Use the special-purpose tweezers (B) to
now adjust the camera head as desired. The head can be
tilted horizontally and vertically by approx. 30° each. The
slotted holes (C) are designed for this purpose. Take par-
ticular care to avoid touching and damaging the camera
lens.
Do not to move the camera in another direction as the
arrows indicate. Do not rotate the camera head. The
stream of the camera can be rotated in the settings
menu.
Carefully tighten the screws once the camera is aligned
(torque 0.1 Nm). Be sure to avoid damaging the housing
in the process.
It is good practice to verify the alignment. Do so by
installing the camera as described in section “Startup,
Operations” and connect a WiFi-enabled device directly
with the camera. For this purpose, it is sucient to
mount Rotoclear with two opposing screws.
Pull o the protective lm as soon as the alignment is
completed.
1. Also remove the protective lm on the included glass
plate (A) as shown in Figure 3.
2. Position the glass plate in the designated notch (B)
to cover the camera. This permanently seals and
protects the camera against spray water.

イントの長穴(C)に差込み、必要に応じてレンズの向きを調
整します。
レ ンズは水平方向/垂直方向それぞれ30°だけ角度が振れま
す。この時、カメラのレンズに触れたり、レンズに損傷を与
えないように十分注意して下さい。
レ ンズの向きの調整は図中の矢印の方向（水平方向/垂直方
向）だけで行って下さい。 (２軸の組合せで斜めに向けるの
は可能)
但し、レンズを回転方向にねじるのは絶対に止めて下さい。
カメラが壊れます。
デバイスに表示される画像は、後述の設定画面で回転でき
ます。（0°,90°,180°,270°）
カ メラヘッドの向き調整が完了したら、6本のトルクスボ
ルト(A)を慎重に締めていきます。（締付けトルク0.1Nm）
締める過程でハウジングが損傷しないように注意して下さ
い。
調整後は、仮止め状態のままでカメラで映す画面を確認す
る事をお勧めします。
後述の「スタートアップ、操作」の項に記載のようにカメ
ラを取付け、Wi-Fi対応デバイスと接続してカメラの画像
が監視したいエリアと一致しているか（レンズの向きが適
切か）を確認して下さい。
カメラを組み込んだロトクリアS3を機械の窓に取付けて画
像を確認しますが、この時のロトクリアの取付は正規のボ
ルト10本止めではなく2本による仮止めで十分です。
調整が完了したら、カメラの保護フィルムを外します 。
１、図3に示すように、同梱のカメラ保護用ガラスパネル
(C)から、剥離紙(A)を剥がしてください。
２、保護パネルをハウジングのへこんだ部分(B)に貼付け
て下さい。これにより、カメラを恒久的にシールして、ス
プレー水から保護します。

カメラは完全なパッケージ（Rotoclear S3および
Rotoclearビジョン）に事前に組み立てられています。
バージョンV7.1のRotoclear S3ユニットには、カメラを
後付けできます。
カメラを取付けたロトクリアS3は、選択した取付方法
（接着バージョン又はボルト止めバージョン）に従い機
械の窓に取付けます。
web上の設定を変更する事で、デバイスに表示されるカメ
ラの画像は90°ずつ回転させる事ができます。
前述のように、ロトクリアS3は2本の対向するボルトで仮
止めし、カメラのレンズの向きを確認できます。調整完
了後は10本全てのボルトを使用して、正規の手順で機械
の窓に取付けてください。
ロトクリアS3の取付けは、同梱又は下記リンクよりダウ
ンロードしたロトクリアS3の取扱説明書に従って実施し
て下さい。

組立て
図4に示すように、同梱の2本のM3ボルト(A)を使用して
カメラのレンズが機内側(D)、カメラのVISIONのロゴ(B)
がオペレータ側を向くように、カメラをロトクリアS3の
ステータ(C)に取付けます。

The camera is pre-assembled in the complete
packages (Rotoclear S3 and Rotoclear vision).
Rotoclear S3 units from version V7.1 can also be
retrofitted.
Depending on the assembly method, mount Rotoclear
with the installed camera onto the machine glass either
with the glue-on or the screw-on lange. Note that the
camera image can later be rotated in 90° increments. As
described in the previous section, Rotoclear can be
secured with two opposing screws to verify the camera
head alignment.
Proceed according to the Rotoclear user manual. The
corresponding assembly instructions can be found in
section 4a or 4b of the user manual. The user manual is
included with the equipment or can be downloaded as
the latest version from www.rotoclear.com.
Make absolutely certain that the air lock is supplied with
clean and correctly adjusted air. A Rotoclear leak caused
by a contaminated or absent air lock interferes with the
view and camera function. This can cause the camera to
fail and voids the warranty.
Assembly
Two M3 assembly screws (A) are included in the sup-
plied scope (see Figure 4). Use the screws to fasten the
camera to the rotating inspection window Rotoclear S3
(C) with the logo side (B) facing up. The connection (D)
faces the same direction as the interface box.

スタートアップ、操作
カメラにはSSID（ネットワーク名）「Rotoclear0」の
Wi-Fiアクセスポイントが装備されています。この名前
は設定メニューから変更できます。複数のカメラを使用
する場合は、各々別の名前に変更してください。
エンドユーザーの端末（タブレット、スマートフォン、
パソコンなど）でWi-Fiを有効にし、カメラに接続しま
す。
端末は、カメラの送信範囲内になければなりません。カ
メラの送信範囲は、環境によって大きく異なる場合があ
ります。
接続品質は伝送品質に影響します。
いくつかの既存のWi-Fi接続によってオーバーレイが発
生し、全体域幅の使用が妨げられる可能性があります。
出荷時初期設定のパスワード：12345670
これは、後から変更する事ができます。
カメラのwebサイト（撮影画像と設定画面）には、既存
のブラウザでアクセスできます。アクセスするには、IP
アドレス 172.16.1.1 又はアドレスラインにURL
http://172.16.1.1 と入力します。代わりに、
http://rotoclear0.local （Windows 10以降）でカメラにア
クセスする事もできます。
使用する端末とカメラを直接接続するのではなく、既存
のWi-Fiネットワークを経由させるための追加の設定と
手順については、後述の「設定」の項をお読み下さい。
破棄、処分
この製品及びコンポーネントは、該当する規制に基づい
てリサイクル又は処分して下さい。

Startup, operation
The camera is equipped with a WiFi access point with
SSID (network name) Rotoclear0. You can change the
network name in the settings. As soon as you want to
operate several camera, each camera requires its own
unique SSID.
Enable WiFi on your end-user device (e.g. mobile phone,
laptop, PC) and connect to the camera. You must be
within the camera’s transmission range, which can vary
greatly depending on the environment. The connection
quality inuences the transmission quality. Several exis-
ting WiFi connections may result in overlays, therefore
preventing use of the full bandwidth.
The default password is: 12345670. It can be changed
later.
The back end (camera image as well as settings) can be
accessed with any current browser. Do so by entering
the IP address 172.16.1.1 or the URL http://172.16.1.1
in the address line. The camera can alternatively also be
reached under http://rotoclear0.local (Windows 10 and
higher).
Additional settings and procedures for linking the
camera to an existing WiFi network are described in the
“Settings” section.
Decommissioning, disposal
The WEEE Directive prohibits disposing electronic and
electrical equipment in household waste. This product
and its components must either be recycled or disposed
separately. The user agrees to dispose the product pur-
suant to applicable statutory regulations.

Settings
The menu settings provide the following adjustments.

The video quality and the camera image rotation are
adjustable; the image frequency can be controlled;
contrast, exposure and white balance can be enabled or
disabled.
Connection
Here, you can determine the SSID (network name) and
change the password. The WiFi channel can also be
selected.
WiFi login
The camera can also be connected to an existing WiFi
network. Enter the SSID and password for the network
to which the camera will be linked. You can determine
whether the camera will connect to the indicated
network by enabling the corresponding option.
The IP address assigned by the router or WiFi access
point of the existing network is displayed together with
the connection status. For this purpose, a DHCP server
must be listed on the router. This is normally the case;
contact your network administrator otherwise.
The displayed IP address can also be used to retrieve the
camera web interface via the WiFi network.
Language
The menu language is selected and determined here.
Update and information
An update is provided in irregular intervals to update the
rmware. The update can be loaded and installed auto-
matically with the online update function. A prerequisite
for this is that the camera is connected to an existing
network with Internet access.
The latest rmware can be alternatively downloaded
under www.rotoclear.com and installed with a manual
update.
Hardware and rmware version number, along with
the MAC address of the camera’s WiFi adapter are also
displayed.

接続
ここでSSID（ネットワーク名）を決めたり、パスワード
の変更が行えます。Wi-Fiチャンネルを選択する事もでき
ます。
Wi-Fiログイン
カメラは、既存のWi-Fiネットワークにも接続する事がで
きます。
リンクするネットワークのSSIDとパスワードを入力しま
す。
対応するオプションを有効にする事で、カメラを指定し
たネットワークに接続するかどうかを指定できます。
既存のネットワークのルータ又はWi-Fiアクセスポイント
によって割り当てられたIPアドレスが、接続ステータス
と共に表示されます。
このためには、ルータのDHCPサーバに割当てられている
必要があります。
これは通常の場合です。
それ以外の場合は、貴社のネットワーク管理者にご相談
下さい。
表示されたIPアドレスを使用して、カメラのwebインター
フェイスを既存のWi-Fiネットワーク経由で呼び出す事も
できます。
言語
ここで言語を選択できます。日本語も選択できます。
アップデートとアップデート情報
ファームウェアを更新するために、不定期にアップデー
トが提供されます。
アップデートは、オンラインアップデート機能を使用し
て自動的にロードしてインストールする事ができます。
前提条件として、カメラがインターネットに接続された
既存のネットワークに接続されている必要があります。
最新のファームウェアは www.rotoclear.com からPCなど
にダウンロードして、PCとカメラをWi-Fiで接続して手動
アップデートでインストールする事もできます。
ハードウェアとファームウェアのバージョン番号と、カ
メラのWi-FiアダプタのMACアドレスも表示されます。

Troubleshooting
Access via rotoclear0.local doesn’t work
This address requires the mDNS service. This is not acti-
vated or available on all systems by default. At present, it
is only supported from the company by iOS.
Windows does not support it. However, you can install
Apple’s Bonjour service so that you can also use this
function in Windows. The Bonjour service is also included
in iTunes, for example.
This address is composed of the current SSID with the
extension “.local”.
I can’t connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi
Make sure that each device has a unique SSID. Be espe-
cially sure to check this if you have multiple Rotoclear
vision cameras in use.
Also make sure that you are within radio range of the
camera and that the Rotoclear is switched on.
The camera is not connected to the company Wi-Fi
Make sure that you have entered the access data cor-
rectly and that the quality of connection to the network
is good. It must also be possible for the network’s DHCP
server to allocate an IP address to the camera. Make
sure that your company network does not have any
access restrictions which would prevent a connection.
When in doubt, contact your network administrator to
do so.
The camera reports that only one client connection is
supported.
Since the bandwidth of WLAN networks is limited, but
the video has to be streamed in real time, we have
decided to allow only one connection per camera. For
that reason, close all other browser windows or tabs in
which the camera interface is open.

トラブルシューティング
rotoclear0.local 経由でアクセスできない
このアドレスには、mDNSサービスが必要です。
これはデフォルトでは全てのシステムが有効化されず、
使用可能ではありません。
現在のところ、これはiOSによってのみサポートされてい
ます。
Windowsは、これをサポートしていません。
但し、AppleのBonjourサービスをインストールし
て、Windowsでこの機能を使用する事もできます。
Bonjourサービスは、例えばiTunesにも含まれています。
このアドレスは、現在のSSIDと拡張子 ".local" で構成
されています。
カメラのWi-Fiに接続できない
複数台のロトクリアビジョンを使用する場合は、各々の
カメラに異なるSSID（ネットワーク名）が設定されてい
るかを確認して下さい。
また、カメラの接続可能な送信範囲内にあるか、ロトク
リアS3は運転中か（給電中か）も確認して下さい。
カメラが会社のWi-Fiに接続できない
アクセスデータを正しく入力しているか、ネットワーク
への接続品質は良好かを確認して下さい。
また、ネットワークのDHCPサーバーがカメラにIPアドレ
スを割り当てる事が可能でなければいけません。
会社のネットワークに、接続を妨げるアクセス権限が無
い事を確認して下さい。
不明な場合は、貴社のネットワーク管理者にご相談下さ
い。
接続しようとすると、「カメラは1つのクライアント接続
しかサポートしません」という意味の警告が出る
Wi-Fiネットワークの帯域幅は限られており、動画をリア
ルタイムでストリーミングする必要がある事を理由に、
カメラ１台に１つの接続しか許可しない設定になってい
ます。
接続するには、カメラインターフェイスを開いている他
のウインドウやタブは全て閉じて下さい。
