Rotoclear C2 ist ein Kamera-System zur Prozessüber-
wachung in medienbeaufschlagten Bereichen. Es kann
in Werkzeugmaschinen zur Überwachung des Arbeits-
raumes oder des Werkzeuges an der Spindel zum Einsatz
kommen. Das System besteht aus einem oder zwei
Kameramodulen und einem Steuerrechner.
Bewahren Sie diese Betriebsanleitung am Einsatzort des
Gerätes sorgfältig auf. Die Betriebsanleitung unterliegt
dem Urheberrecht der Rotoclear GmbH.

Thank you for purchasing our product. Please pay
attention to the text and images in this manual in order to
use the product correctly. Prior to startup, be sure to read
the installation instructions.
Rotoclear C2 is a camera system for process monitoring
in areas exposed to media. It can be employed in machine
tools for the monitoring of the working area or the tool on
the spindle. The system consists of one or two camera
modules and a control unit.
Keep this user manual securely stored at the operating
location of the equipment. This user manual is protected

der Konformität und den Ausschluss der Gewährleistung

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung des RotoclearC2
erstreckt sich auf die Anwendung in Werkzeugmaschinen
oder entsprechenden Umgebungen, in denen Medien wie
Kühlschmierstoe, Öle, Wasser, Spül- und Reinigungs-
üssigkeiten eingesetzt werden. Bei der Verwendung
einer Kamera in einer solchen Umgebung wird die Sicht
durch Auftreen der vorhandenen Medien auf Linse oder
Schutzscheibe beeinträchtigt oder behindert. Daher
ist das Rotoclear C2 mit einer rotierenden Sichtscheibe
ausgestattet, um eine freie Sicht durch die Scheibe zu
gewährleisten. Auftreende Partikel oder Flüssigkeiten
werden kontinuierlich nach außen weggeschleudert. Dies
setzt voraus, dass die Kamera dauerhaft in Betrieb ist,
die Sperrluft anliegt, sowie die Rotorscheibe sich für die
selbstreinigende Wirkung permanent dreht, während die
Maschine eingeschaltet ist. Der Kühlschmierstostrahl
darf nicht direkt und gezielt auf das Durchsichtfenster
gerichtet sein.
Datenschutzhinweis
Je nach Konguration und Einbindung der Kamera
in ein Firmennetzwerk kann über verschiedene Protokolle
mittels IP-Adresse ein Zugri auf den Stream der Kamera
erfolgen. Eine Einsicht in den Kameraaufnahmebereich
kann somit gegeben sein. Hierbei ist es möglich, dass
Personal oder Dienstleistende zum Beispiel bei Wartungs-
arbeiten beobachtet werden können.
Je nach Gesetzeslage des Landes, in dem das Kamera-
system betrieben wird, können datenschutzrechtliche
Belange berührt werden.
Bitte prüfen Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme der
Kamera, ob entsprechende Maßnahmen bezüglich des
Datenschutzes einzuleiten sind.

Der Steuerrechner wird typischerweise im Schaltschrank
oder in einem geschützten, für elektronische Geräte

Intended use
The intended use of the RotoclearC2 includes applications
in machine tools and similar environments, where media
such as cooling lubricants, oils, water, rinsing and cleaning

window. That is why the Rotoclear C2 is equipped with a
rotating window in order to ensure a clear view
through the window.

Data protection notice
Depending on how the camera is congured and
integrated into a company network, various protocols
can be used to access the camera stream by means of
IP addresses. This means that it may be possible to view
the area that the camera is recording. This may mean that
sta or service providers could be observed, for example
during maintenance work.
Depending on the laws of the country in which the camera
system is being operated, this may touch on aspects
related to data protection.
Before putting the camera into operation, please
verify whether any corresponding measures related to
data protection need to be taken.
Components
Control unit
The control unit is typically installed in the control cabinet
or in a protected area meant for electronic devices,

zum Anschluss eines HDMI-Monitors (C) und vier USB-
Steckplätzen ausgestattet. Der USB-Steckplatz (D2) ist
für den Anschluss eines Speichermediums vorgesehen,
da hier die volle Bandbreite zur Verfügung steht, sowie
drei weitere Steckplätze mit geteilter Bandbreite (D1) für
Zubehör.
Ebenfalls ist eine Ethernetschnittstelle (E) vorhanden.
Auf der Rückseite des Steuerrechners ist ein Clip für die
Hutschienenmontage vorhanden.
Kameramodul
Die Kameramodule werden üblicherweise im
medienbeaufschlagten Bereich installiert. Liegt die Rück-
seite der Kamera mit den Anschlüssen möglicherweise
ebenfalls im Nassbereich, beachten Sie unbedingt den
Hinweis unter „Inbetriebnahme“.
Wie in Abbildung 2 dargestellt, erfolgt der Anschluss
über die Schnittstelle zum Steuerrechner auf der Rück-
seite der Kamera (A). Das Kabel (A1) versorgt das Modul
mit Energie und ist für Steuersignale sowie Datenüber-
tragung mit sehr hoher Bandbreite ausgelegt. Achten Sie
daher beim Verlegen der Kabel, dass keine Störsignale
wie z.B. durch parallel verlegte, wechselstromführende
und unzureichend geschirmte Stromkabel eingebracht
werden. (H) kennzeichnet den Anschluss für eine Erdung.
Beachten Sie unbedingt den Hinweis unter „Inbetrieb-
nahme“.

1 zu sehen, mit einem Anschluss zur Stromversorgung
und einer dazugehörigen blauen Signalleuchte für das

stellen für die Kameramodule (B1 und B2), einem Ausgang

Camera module
The camera modules are usually installed in the
application area. In assembly situations where the camera
head‘s connection side on its rear is unprotected and
exposed to uids, it will be necessary to refer to chapter
„Startup“.
As shown in Figure 2, the connection takes place via the
interface to the control unit on the rear of the camera
(A). The cable (A1) supplies the module with energy and
is designed for control signals as well as data transfer
with very high bandwidth. Hence, when laying the cables,
ensure that no interfering signals are introduced, e.g. due
to power cables that are laid in parallel, carrying alternating
current and insuciently shielded. The camera head has a
ground connection point (H). For the ground connection, it
will be necessary to refer to the chapter „Startup“.

and hence does not have a particular protection class.
As shown in Figure 1, the unit is equipped with a power
connection (A) with a blue signal light arranged below
showing the status of the power supply, two interfaces for
the camera modules (B1 and B2), an output for connecting
an HDMI monitor (C) and four USB ports. The USB port

Das Sperrluftkabel (B1) hat einen Durchmesser von 6mm.
Bei falscher Einstellung, Verunreinigung der Sperr-
luft oder bei Beschädigung der rotierenden Scheibe
kann Flüssigkeit den Bereich zwischen Rotor und Stator
verunreinigen und die Sicht der Kamera behindern mit der
Folge, dass Gewährleistungsansprüche verfallen.
Im Lieferumfang bendet sich eine Abdeckkappe,
mit der die Front des Kamerakopfes im Schadensfall
temporär abgedeckt werden muss, sofern die Maschine
bis zur Instandsetzung in Betrieb genommen werden soll.
Deaktivieren Sie bei Verwendung der Schutzkappe die
Sperrluft.
Auf der Vorderseite bendet sich der Rotor (C), der mit
der Zentrumsschraube (G) an der Motorwelle befestigt
ist, darunterliegend die LED-Beleuchtung (D). Zwischen
den LED-Modulen bendet sich, durch die Schutzscheibe
geschützt, das Objektiv der Kamera (E).
Gegenüberliegend kann je nach Modell und Ausstattungs-
variante ein weiteres Objektiv verbaut sein. Durch die
Bohrung (F) wird die Sperrluft in den Rotorzwischenraum
geführt. Diese Bohrung muss freiliegend sein und darf
weder abgedeckt noch anderweitig verschlossen sein.
Das Gerät darf nicht dauerhaft vollständig oder teilweise
unter Wasser oder Kühlschmiersto betrieben werden.
Sollte Flüssigkeit in das Gerät eindringen, überprüfen Sie
bitte die Installationsparameter.
Verwenden Sie Rotoclear C2 ausschließlich
bestimmungsgemäß. Rotoclear übernimmt keinerlei
Haftung bei einer anderen, als der bestimmungsgemäßen
Verwendung.
Lieferumfang
Das Kameramodul ist auf eine denierte Fokuslage vorein-
gestellt. Es sind Fokuslagen für den Nahbereich bzw. die
Spindel mit Schärfebereich von 200-500mm, sowie für
den Fernbereich von 500-3000mm verfügbar.

cover is kept free of the media in the environment.
The purge air cable (B1) has a diameter of 6mm.
In the event of incorrect conguration,
contamination of the purge air, or if the rotating window
is damaged, liquid might contaminate the area between
rotor and stator and obscure the camera‘s view and will
invalidate the warranty.
Included in the scope of delivery is a covering cap.
Use it to cover the front of the camera head temporarily
in the event of damage if the machine is to be put into
operation before it is repaired. When the covering cap is in
use, deactivate the purge air.
The rotor (C) is on the front, which is axed via a centre
screw (G) to the motor shaft, under which the LED lighting
(D) is located. Located between the LED modules is the
camera lens (E), which is protected by the protective
window.
On the opposite side, a second lens may be installed
depending on the model and conguration variant. The
purge air is fed through the drill hole (F) into the intervening
rotor space. This drill hole must be kept free and must not
be covered or closed in any way.
The device must not be operated constantly under water
or cooling lubricant, neither completely nor partially. If
liquid enters the device, please check the installation para-
meters.
Use RotoclearC2 only as intended. Rotoclear shall
not be liable for any use that is not as intended.
Scope of supply
The camera module is precongured to a dened focus
position. Focus positions for close ranges and/or spindles
with a focus range of 200-500 mm are available, as well as
for far ranges from 500-3000 mm.

Vorbereitung der Teile
Entnehmen Sie die Kamera der Verpackung. Achten
Sie beim Auspacken unbedingt auf Sauberkeit. Bewahren
Sie alle Teile auf einer sauberen, weichen Unterlage oder in
der Originalverpackung auf. Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit dem
Produkt um. Berühren Sie weder die Objektivabdeckung
des Kamerakopfes (E, Abbildung 2) noch das Sicherheits-
glas des Rotors, um uneingeschränkte Sichtbedingungen
zu gewährleisten.
Die Kamera, insbesondere die glasbedekte Front-
seite, darf keiner Stoßbelastung ausgesetzt werden,
da sonst die Lagereinheit, der Rotor oder andere Teile
beschädigt werden können.
Der Kamerakopf ist mit einer Kunststokappe abgedeckt.
Nehmen Sie die Kappe ab und bewahren Sie diese an
einem sicheren Ort auf, sodass Sie im Schadensfall schnell
verfügbar ist um die Kamera damit wieder abdecken zu
können und so vor Beschädigung zu schützen.
Nehmen Sie den Rotor aus der Verpackung und setzen
diesen auf dem Zentrumsansch des Kamerakopfes auf.
Halten Sie den Rotor vorsichtig mit der Hand fest und
ziehen Sie die Schraube mit einem Drehmoment von
0,6Nm an. Arretieren Sie keinesfalls den Rotor mit einem
spitzen Gegenstand wie beispielsweise einem Schrauben-
zieher. Zum Abnehmen des Rotors kann der mitgelieferte
Saugnapf verwendet werden.
Die Kamera ist, je nach Variante auf eine bestimmte
Fokuslage voreingestellt. Entnehmen Sie die Fokus-
lage dem Typenschild des Kameramoduls. Die
Fokuslage kann aufgrund der Abdichtung gegenüber
Medien, insbesondere bei Versagen des Rotors durch
Beschädigung durch abgebrochene Werkzeug- oder
Werkstückteile nachträglich nicht eigenständig verändert
werden.
Bei Einstellbedarf wenden Sie sich bitte an den
Hersteller. Jeglicher Versuch, das Gehäuse der Kamera-
köpfe zu önen um die Fokuslage selbst einzustellen geht
mit dem Verlust der Gewährleistung einher.
Das Produkt RotoclearC2 wird in einer stoßgeschützten,
umweltfreundlichen Verpackung geliefert.
Prüfen Sie nach Erhalt der Ware den Inhalt auf Voll-
ständigkeit und Unversehrtheit. Verwenden Sie für einen
Rücktransport ausschließlich die Originalverpackung
und demontieren Sie den Rotor! Beachten Sie das Kapitel
„Störbeseitigung“.
Montage und Einbaulösungen
Vor Beginn der Installationsarbeiten muss sicher-

Remove the camera from the packaging. When
unpacking, pay attention to cleanliness. Store all parts
on a clean, shock-absorbing surface or in the original
packaging. Handle the product with care. Do not touch the
lens cover of the camera head (E, Figure 2) or the safety
glass of the rotor to ensure unimpeded viewing conditions.
Do not subject the camera, especially the glass-
covered front to shock loads, as this may damage the
bearing unit, rotor or other parts.
The camera head is covered by a plastic cap. Remove the
cap and keep it in a safe place where it is readily available
for covering the camera in the event of damage, thereby
protecting it from further damage.
Remove the rotor from its packaging and place it on the
centre ange of the camera head. Carefully hold the rotor
in place using your hand and tighten the screw using a
torque of 0,6Nm. Never lock the rotor in place using a
sharp object, such as a screwdriver. To remove the rotor,
use the suction cup provided.
Depending on the specic variant, the camera is
precongured for a particular focus position. Please refer
to the nameplate of the camera module for the focus
position. The focus position can only be changed by the
manufacturer later on because it is sealed to keep out
media, particularly if the rotor fails due to damage from
broken tool or workpiece parts.
If adjustment of the focus is required, please
contact the manufacturer. Any attempt to open the
housing of the camera heads in order to adjust the focus
position yourself will invalidate the warranty.
The RotoclearC2 product is supplied in a shock-protected,
environmentally friendly packaging.
Upon receiving the product, please check that its contents
are complete and undamaged. For return transport, use
only the original packaging and dismantle the rotor! Please
observe chapter

gestellt werden, dass die Maschine von befähigtem
Fachpersonal ausgeschaltet und sicher gegen Wiederein-
schalten abgesichert wurde. Bei Zuwiderhandlung besteht
Verletzungsgefahr.
Bei Tätigkeiten im Arbeitsbereich der Werkzeug-
maschine besteht gegebenenfalls Verletzungsgefahr
durch rutschige Oberächen und scharfe Kanten in der
Werkzeugmaschine. Tragen Sie geeignete Schutzaus-
rüstung.
Stellen Sie vor Beginn der Arbeit sicher, dass anzu-
schließende Druckluftkomponenten ausgeschaltet sind
und machen Sie das System drucklos. Bei Zuwider-
handlung besteht Verletzungsgefahr.
Die Montage der Kamera kann auf unterschiedliche
Weise vorgenommen werden. Achten Sie darauf, dass
Sie den Kamerakopf so einbauen, dass Wärme über eine
metallische, wärmeleitende Oberäche ausreichend
abgeführt werden kann. Eine Installation in eine Blech-
wand ist hierfür ausreichend.
Die Gewinde sitzen in einer Achse mit den Positionen der
Kameraoptik(en) (E1, je nach Ausstattung E2). Für eine
Ausgabe im Querformat müssen die Schraubpositionen
(C) auf einer Horizontalen liegen. Für Hochformat
entsprechend auf einer Vertikalen, siehe Abbildung 3.
Befestigung des Kameramoduls
Neben dem optional erhältlichen Befestigungszubehör
(siehe auch Abschnitt „Flex-Armhalter“, „Kugelkopf-
halter“ und „Spindelmontage“) kann die Kamera nach
individuellen Wünschen befestigt werden.
Um den Durchbruch in der Gehäusewand abzudichten,
legen Sie den beiliegenden Dichtungsring in die dafür
vorgesehene Nut (D) ein.
Als Befestigungsschnittstelle benden sich, wie oben
beschrieben, zwei M4-Gewinde (C) auf der Rückseite des

Zur Befestigung sind, wie in Abbildung 3 gezeigt, die zwei
auf der Rückseite im Abstand von 51mm bendlichen
M4-Gewinde (C) zu verwenden.
Die Einschraubtiefe darf max. 4mm betragen, das
Anzugsdrehmoment max. 1,5Nm.
Das an die Schnittstelle (A) angeschlossene Kabel sowie
der Druckluftanschluss (B) können oen im medienbeauf-
schlagten Raum liegen, sofern sie durch Beschuss von
Spänen oder anderen scharfkantigen Teilen geschützt
sind.

When performing tasks in the working area of the
machine tool, there may be a risk of injury from slippery
surfaces and sharp edges. Wear suitable protective equip-
ment.
Before beginning work, ensure that compressed air
components to be connected are switched o and ensure
that the system is completely depressurised. Failure to
observe this will result in a risk of injury.
The assembly of the camera can be performed in various
ways. Ensure that you install the camera head such that
heat can be adequately dissipated by a metallic, heat-
conducting surface. Installation in a sheet metal panel is
sucient for this purpose.
The screw threads are located in a line with the positions of
the camera lens(es) (E1, or depending on conguration E2).
For output in landscape format, the screw positions (C)
must be located along a horizontal line. For portrait format,
they must be along a vertical line, see Figure 3.
Mounting the camera module
In addition to the optionally available mounting
accessories (also see the sections „Flex arm bracket“,
„Ball head bracket“ and „Spindle mounting“), the camera
can be mounted according to individual requirements.
To seal the opening in the housing wall, insert the
sealing ring into the groove (D) provided (enclosed).
As described above, two M4 threads (C) are provided
on the back of the housing as a mounting interface.
For mounting, use the two M4 threads (C) on the rear side
at a distance of 51 mm, as shown in Figure 3.
The screw-in depth may be max. 4mm, the
tightening torque max. 1.5Nm.
The cable connected to the interface (A) as well as
the compressed air connection (B) can be left open
in the space exposed to media, provided that they are
protected against shavings or other sharp-edged parts.

optionale Verwendung des Pigtailkabels für den Fall eines
Einsatzes in Nassräumen, s. Kapitel Inbetriebnahme.
Steuerrechner
Der Steuerrechner wird typischerweise im Schaltschrank
oder in einem geschützten, für elektronische Geräte
vorgesehenen Bereich, an einer Hutschiene nach DIN
EN 60715 installiert. Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Steuer-
rechner mit der Schutzart IP30 unter Anderem nicht
gegen das Eindringen von Flüssigkeiten geschützt ist.
Zur Hutschienenmontage können Sie den vormontierten
Hutschienenclip verwenden. Dieser lässt sich in 90°
Schritten gedreht am Gehäuse des Rechners befestigen.
Somit können Sie den Steuerrechner in gewünschter
Position anbringen. Hängen Sie die obere Lasche des
Hutschienenclips an die obere Kante der Hutschiene (1,
Abbildung 4). Drücken Sie den Steuerrechner leicht nach
unten, sodass das Federelement des Clips an der unteren
Kante einrastet (2).
Zum Entfernen des Rechners nutzen Sie einen Schrauben-
zieher und ziehen die Lasche des Clips leicht nach
unten. Das Gerät kann nun leicht nach oben bewegt und
ausgehängt werden.
Önen Sie das Gehäuse des Steuerrechners nicht,
da sonst die Gewährleistungsansprüche verfallen.

Optimierungen durch den Hersteller
Das Produkt unterliegt einem kontinuierlichen
Optimierungsprozess. Nach Ermessen des Herstellers
können Änderungen an Geometrie, Anschlüssen und
Schnittstellen vorgenommen werden, die nicht das
grundsätzliche Konzept des Produktes verändern. Der
Hersteller verpichtet sich nicht, über nichtfunktionelle

When installing the camera head, please observe the
safety regulations, including the grounding and the
optional use of the pigtail cable for use in wet rooms, see
the chapter Startup.
Control unit
The control unit is typically installed on a top hat rail
according to DIN EN 60715 in the control cabinet or in a
protected area meant for electronic devices. Please note
that, among other things, the control unit with IP30 ingress
protection is not protected against the ingress of uids.
For top-hat rail mounting, you can use the pre-mounted
top-hat rail clip. It can be rotated in steps of 90° and axed
to the unit housing. This allows you to attach the control
unit in the desired position. Hang the upper ange of the
top-hat rail clip on the upper edge of the top-hat rail (1,
Figure 4). Gently press the control unit downwards, such
that the spring element of the clip snaps into place at the
bottom edge (2).
To remove the control unit, use a screwdriver and gently
pull the ange of the clip downwards. The device can now
easily be moved upwards and removed.
Do not open the housing of the control computer,
as this will void all warranty claims.

Optimisations by the manufacturer
The product is subject to a continuous optimisation
process. At the manufacturer‘s discretion, changes can
be made to geometry, connections and interfaces that
do not change the basic concept of the product. The
manufacturer is not obliged to actively inform about non-
functional adjustments to the product.

Datenkabel, Erdung und Sperrluftver-
sorgung
Führen Sie das Datenkabel (B1, Abbildung 2) vom Kamera-
modul bzw. vom Adapter des Halters in den Schaltschrank
bzw. an den Installationsort des Steuerrechners. Achten
Sie dabei auf sachgemäße Abdichtung an den Durch-
führungen von medienbeaufschlagten Bereichen in
geschützte Bereiche bzw. in den Schaltschrank.
Verbinden Sie das Kabel mit der Schnittstelle für den
ersten Kamerakopf mit der Aufschrift „Camera A“. Ein
optionales zweites Kameramodul verbinden Sie mit der
Schnittstelle „Camera B“.
Achten Sie beim Verlegen des Kabels darauf, dass
keine Störsignale von benachbarten Stromkabeln die
Übertragung beeinträchtigen. Verwenden Sie nur das
mitgelieferte Kabel.
Bitte stellen Sie unbedingt die Trockenheit und
Sauberkeit sowie die korrekte Einstellung der zugeführten
Sperrluft sicher. Der Kamerakopf ist mit einem Drucksensor
ausgestattet. Dieser hilft bei der korrekten Einstellung der
Sperrluft und überwacht diese dauerhaft. Eine fehler-
hafte Einstellung oder eine Beschädigung des Systems
wird detektiert und eine Warnung in der Bedienoberäche
angezeigt. Wir raten davon ab, den Kamerakopf nach oben
auszurichten, da bei fehlerhafter Sperrluftversorgung oder
auftreender Flüssigkeit bei ausgeschalteter Maschine
Medien leichter in das Labyrinth eindringen können.
Bei Beschädigung der Rotorscheibe beachten Sie bitte
das Kapitel „Rotorwechsel“. Durch verunreinigte oder
fehlende Sperrluft hervorgerufene Undichtigkeit beein-
trächtigen die Sicht und die Funktionsweise der Kamera.
Sollte es erforderlich sein, bereiten Sie die Sperrluft mit
einer Wartungseinheit mit mehrstugem Filtersystem auf.
Beachten Sie die Anforderungen an die Sperrluft, die im
Kapitel „Spezikationen“ genannt sind.
Sowohl der Kamerakopf als auch der Steuer-
rechner besitzen einen Anschluss für die Erdung, siehe
(H) in Abbildung 2, bzw. (A) in Abbildung 4. Sollte eine
Erdung des System gemäß gültiger Normen (wie z.B. IEC
60204-1:2019-06) in Ihrer Einbausituation erforderlich
sein, verbinden Sie den Steuerrechner über ein Erdungs-
kabel mit dem Schutzleiter. Achten Sie unbedigt darauf,
alle Geräte an den selben Schutzleiter anzuschließen.
Befestigungszubehör
Es sind mehrere Halter für die Installation des Kamera-
kopfes im Maschineninnenraum als optionales Zubehör
verfügbar, siehe Abbildung 5.
• Der Flex-Armhalter (Blecheinbau) (A) eignet sich
am besten für die Installation in eine Blechwand mit
direkter Durchführung der Kabel.
• Der Flex-Armhalter (Vorwandmontage) (B) lässt sich
Data cable, grounding and purge air supply
Lay the data cable (B1, Figure 2) from the camera module
and/or the adapter of the bracket into the control cabinet
and/or to the installation site of the control unit. When
doing so, ensure proper sealing at the transitions from
areas exposed to media into protected areas and/or into
the control cabinet.
Connect the cable to the interface for the rst camera
head with the label „Camera A“. Connect the second
camera module (optional) to the interface „Camera B“.
When laying the cable, ensure that no interfering signals
from neighbouring power cables can disrupt the trans-
mission. Only use the cable provided.
Please ensure the dryness and cleanliness as well
as the correct conguration of the purge air supplied.
The camera head is equipped with a pressure sensor.
It helps with the correct conguration of the purge air
and monitors it constantly. An incorrect conguration or
damage to the system is detected and a warning displayed
in the user interface. It is not recommendable to orientate
the camera head upwards due to the risk of uids entering
the labyrinth sealing in the case of insucient air purge or
uids occurring while the machine is switched o.
If the rotor disk is damaged, please refer to the chapter
„Changing the rotor“. Leaks due to contaminated
or insucient purge air will impair the sight and the
functioning of the camera. If necessary, pre-treat the
purge air using a service unit with a multi-stage lter
system. Pay attention to the requirements for the purge air
which are indicated in the specications.
Both the camera head and the control computer
have a connection for grounding, see (H) in Figure 2 and
(A) in Figure 4, respectively. If grounding of the system
according to applicable standards (such as IEC 60204-
1:2019-06) is required in your installation situation, connect
the control computer to the grounding conductor using a
grounding cable. Make absolutely sure that all devices are
connected to the same protective earth conductor.
Mounting accessories
Several brackets for installing the camera head in the
internal chamber of the machine are available as optional
accessories, see Figure 5.
• The ex arm bracket (sheet metal installation) (A) is
ideal for installation in a sheet metal wall with a direct
cable feed-through.
• The ex arm bracket (pre-wall mounting) (B) can

die Gehäusewandung möglich ist. Das Kabel sowie die
Sperrluftversorgung können in einem separat erhält-
lichen Schutzschlauch weitergeführt werden.
• Der Flex-Armhalter (Magnethalter) (C) eignet sich für
einfache und schnelle Montage ohne Modikation an
der Werkzeugmaschine, insbesondere für Tests bzw.
die Auswahl des geeigneten Einbauorts. Für dauer-
hafte Installation wird die Montage empfohlen.
In den Standardversion sind bei allen Varianten des Flex-
Armhalters ±40° Neigung (±20° pro Gelenk) möglich. Es
sind Verlängerungsstücke verfügbar, die jeweils zusätz-
liche ±20° Neigung ermöglichen.
• Der Kugelkopfhalter (D, Abbildung inklusive Werkzeug)
ist für den Einbau in eine Blechwand vorgesehen.
Aufgrund der achen und spanabweisenden Konturen
neigt dieser Halter zu vergleichsweise geringer
Spänenesterbildung. Der Halter ist nur mit Kamera-
köpfen mit Kugelgehäuse kompatibel. Die maximale
Neigung beträgt ±20° zur Bohrungsachse. Der
Kamerakopf ist mit Ausrichtung von 0-360° gedreht
einbaubar.

Flex-Armhalter
Es sind mehrere Versionen der Flex-Armhalter für die
Installation des Kamerakopfes im Maschineninnenraum als
optionales Zubehör verfügbar.
Auf Anfrage erhalten Sie CAD-Modelle der
verschiedenen Versionen.
Zur Montage in eine Blechwand (zwischen G2 und F) muss
der Steckanschluss für die Sperrluft (B, Abbildung 2) auf
der Rückseite des Kamerakopfes entfernt werden. Dieser
besitzt einen innenliegenden Sechskantantrieb. Schließen
Sie das Datenkabel (B, Abbildung 6) an den M12 Anschluss
an. Führen Sie das lose Ende durch den Halter (C) und
setzen den Kamerakopf auf die Aufnahme. Zuvor legen Sie
den Dichtungsring (D) in die dafür vorgesehene Nut ein.
Schrauben Sie den Kamerakopf mit den beiliegenden M4
Schrauben (E1) und den zugehörigen Usit-Ringen (E2) fest.
Zur Ausrichtung können Sie die Muttern an den Gelenken
lösen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass alle Verbindungen fest-
gezogen sind, da die Dichtheit des Systems gegen
das Eindringen von Kühlschmiersto davon abhängig
ist. Andernfalls kann das Kameramodul irreversibel
beschädigt werden. Das Anzugsdrehmoment beträgt
5Nm.

cable and the purge air supply can be routed via a
separately available protective hose.
• The ex arm bracket (magnetic bracket) (C) is ideal
for simple and quick mounting without modication to
the machine tool, in particular for tests or selecting a
suitable installation location. For permanent installation,
mounting is recommended.
In the standard versions, an inclination of ±40° (±20° per
joint) is possible for all variants of the ex arm bracket.
Extension pieces are available, each of which allows an
additional inclination of ±20°.
• The ball head bracket (D, Figure including tool) is
designed for installation in a sheet metal wall. Thanks to
its at and chip-repellent contours, comparatively few
chip nests occur when using this bracket. This bracket
is only compatible with camera heads with a ball
housing. The maximum inclination is ±20° to the axis of
the drill hole. The camera head can be installed with a
rotation ranging from 0-360°.

Flex arm bracket
Several versions of the ex arm bracket for installing the
camera head in the internal chamber of the machine are
available as optional accessories.
CAD models of the various versions are available
upon request.
For mounting in a sheet metal wall (between G2 and F),
the plug-in connection for the purge air (B, Figure 2) on
the rear of the camera head will need to be removed. It is
outtted with an internal hexagon drive. Connect the data
cable (B, Figure 6) to the M12 connector. Feed the loose
end through the bracket (C) and place the camera head
on the mount. Before doing this, insert the sealing ring (D)
into the groove provided. Screw the camera head in place
using the enclosed M4 screws (E1) and the corresponding
Usit rings (E2).
You may loosen the nuts on the joints to perform align-
ment.
Ensure that all connections have been tightened,
as this protects the system against leaks and the ingress
of cooling lubricant. Failure to ensure this may cause
irreparable damage to the camera module. The tightening
torque is 5Nm.
