BATTERY OPERATION
Your transmitter is operated by a
lithium battery (chest strap: (3V,
CR2032).
Below you will nd some advice on
the use of batteries:
• Replace a battery only with an
equivalent battery type.
• Batteries may not be reactivated
when loaded or by other means,
be disassembled, thrown into re
or short-circuited.
• Always store the batteries out of
the reach of children. Batteries
can be life threatening if swal-
lowed. The batteries and chest
strap should therefore always be
kept out of the reach of toddlers.
If a battery is swallowed, medical
advice must be sought imme-
diately.
• Never expose the batteries to
excessive heat such as sunshine,
re or the like! This increases the
danger of leakage. Disregarding
these instructions can cause
damage and possibly even cause
the batteries to explode.
• Any at batteries should be
immediately removed from the
transmitter. It may otherwise
leak. In this case, avoid contact
with skin, eyes and mucous
membranes. Flush the parts
contaminated with battery acid
immediately with plenty of clear
water and seek medical advice
instantly. Clean battery contacts
and also counter contacts in the

FUNCTIONS AND USE
The latest Bluetooth technology is
used for the transmission of the heart
rate from the chest strap (transmitter)
to your smartphone. I.e. smartphones
with Bluetooth® (4.0 and above) are
compatible. You can nd a current list
of compatible smartphones at

Our combo chest strap sends two si-
gnals. A Bluetooth signal and another
signal on a transmission frequency
of 5.3 kHz. Due to the additional 5.3
kHz transmission, this chest strap is
also compatible with most training
devices in the gym. If you already own

a runtastic receiver (RUNDC1), this
may also be used with the combo
chest strap for a transfer without
Bluetooth.

1. Installation

guide you step by step to enter

cess this page. To use this feature,
you have to previously download
the free application in the res-
pective ‚app store‘ to be able to
scan this code. Scan the QR code
and follow the instructions on the

You can also acquire the pulse fun-
ction or many other features in the
app store or market or the Google
play store.
NOTE: The battery of your smart-
phone lasts 2 to 6 hours when
using GPS. To extend this period
(e.g. for a whole day of skiing), you
may use an additional runtastic
battery (available on sites such as
Runtastic.com/shop).
2. Attaching the chest strap
Connect the transmitter to the
strap with the two push buttons.
Adjust the elastic strap so that the
sensors sit rmly against the chest
below the pectoral muscles. When
strapping the device around the
chest, it should sit below the chest
muscles in men and over the chest
in women. Hang the hook into the
designated loop. Connect the two
ends to the hook.

3. Activating the heart rate
measurement
• Activate the Bluetooth function in
the settings of your smartphone!
• Open the runtastic app on your
smartphone.
• Access the menu item „Settings“
and select „Heart rate measure-
ment“.
• Select and activate the Bluetooth
interface to connect the chest
strap to the smartphone.
NOTE: The activation of the heart
rate measurement must only be
performed once before the rst trai-
ning, after disabling the Bluetooth

4. Cleaning
After exercising, detach the trans-
mitter from the chest strap and wash
out the chest strap under running
water. The elastic belt can also be
washed in the washing machine at
40° without fabric softener. Through
perspiration and moisture on the
sensors, the transmitter might
remain enabled. This reduces the
service life of the battery in the
transmitter. Hang the chest strap
to dry afterwards (do not dry in the

tumble dryer). Clean the transmit-
ter with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do
not use any solvents, abrasive or
gaseous cleaning agents.
5. Storage
Store the transmitter and chest
strap separately. This ensures a
longer battery life. To prevent oxi-
dation on the push buttons, keep
the transmitter in a dry location.
Do not expose the transmitter to
strong sunlight over an extended
period.

Open the battery compartment
cover with a coin by turning it
counterclockwise.
Remove the old battery and insert
a new 3V battery (type CR2032).
Always ensure that the positive
pole (+) is facing upwards.
Ret the battery cover and lock
it by turning it clockwise. Ensure
that the cover is securely closed, to
prevent moisture from entering the
transmitter.

deiner Herzfrequenz. Träger von
Herzschrittmachern dürfen Geräte
zur Herzfrequenzmessung nur
nach Absprache mit dem Arzt
verwenden.
HINWEIS: Der Brustgurt kann La-
texbestandteile enthalten. Gegen
dieses Material können in seltenen
Fällen allergische Reaktionen in
Gestalt von - unter Umständen
relativ starken - Hautreizungen und
Rötungen auftreten. Solltest du
daher auch nur leichte Rötun-
gen feststellen, so nimm bitte
unbedingt sofort Abstand vom
weiteren Einsatz des Brustgurts.

• Entferne eine erschöpfte Batterie
umgehend aus der Sendeein-
heit. Sie kann sonst auslaufen.
Vermeide in diesem Fall den

sofort mit reichlich klarem

FUNKTIONEN UND EIN-
SATZMÖGLICHKEIT
Für die Übertragung der Herzfre-
quenz vom Brustgurt (Sendeein-
heit) auf dein Smartphone wird die
neueste Bluetooth-Technologie
verwendet. D.h. Smartphones
mit Bluetooth® (4.0 aufwärts) sind
kompatibel. Eine aktuelle Liste der
kompatiblen Smartphones ndest
du auf Runtastic.com/products/
Unser Combo-Brustgurt sendet
zwei Signale. Ein Bluetooth-Signal
und ein weiteres Signal auf einer
Übertragungsfrequenz von 5,3
kHz. Aufgrund der zusätzlichen
5,3 kHz-Übertragung ist dieser
Brustgurt auch mit den meisten
Trainingsgeräten im Fitnessstudio
kompatibel. Solltest du bereits im
Besitz eines runtastic-Empfängers
(RUNDC1) sein, kann dieser eben-
falls mit dem Combo-Brustgurt für
eine Übertragung ohne Bluetooth
verwendet werden.

ture nutzen zu können, musst du
vorher im jeweiligen „App-Store“
die kostenlose Applikation herun-
terladen, mit der du diesen Code
scannen kannst. Scanne nun den
QR-Code und folge den Anweisun-

2. Brustgurt anlegen
Verbinde die Sendeeinheit über
die beiden Druckknöpfe mit dem
Gurt. Stelle den elastischen Gurt so
ein, dass die Sensoren fest an der
Brust unterhalb der Brustmuskeln
Um einen guten Kontakt mit der
Haut zu gewährleisten, musst du
die Kontakte des Sensors befeuch-
ten oder ein EKG-Gel (erhältlich
in medizinischen Fachgeschäften)
verwenden.
3. Herzfrequenzmessung
aktivieren
• Aktiviere die Bluetooth-Funktion
in den Einstellungen deines Smart-
phones!
• Öffne die runtastic App auf deinem
Smartphone.
• Wähle unter Menüpunkt „Einstel-
lungen“ und wähle „Herzfrequenz-
messung“.

• Wähle und aktiviere die
Bluetooth-Schnittstelle, um
den Brustgurt mit
• dem Smartphone zu verbinden.
HINWEIS: Die Aktivierung der
Herzfrequenzmessung muss nur
einmal vor dem ersten Training,
nach Deaktivierung der
Bluetooth-Schnittstelle, nach einer
Neuinstallation der App in deinem
Smartphone sowie bei einem
Wechsel des Brustgurtes durchge-
führt werden.
4. Reinigung
Trenne nach dem Training die
Sendeeinheit vom Brustgurt und
wasche den Brustgurt unter ie-
ßendem Wasser aus. Der elastische
Gurt kann auch in der Waschma-
schine bei 40°C ohne Weichspüler
gewaschen werden. Durch Schweiß
und Feuchtigkeit an den Sensoren
bleibt die Sendeeinheit möglicher-
weise aktiviert. Dies verringert die
Lebensdauer der Batterie in der
Sendeeinheit. Hänge den Brustgurt
danach zum Trocknen auf (nicht in
den Trockner geben). Reinige die
Sendeeinheit mit einem weichen,
fusselfreien Tuch. Verwende keine
Lösungsmittel, ätzende oder gas-
förmige Reinigungsmittel.
5. Lagerung
Bewahre Sendeeinheit und Brust-
gurt getrennt voneinander auf.
Somit wird eine längere Lebens-
dauer der Batterie gewährleistet.
Um eine Oxidation an den Druck-
knöpfen zu verhindern, lagere die
Sendeeinheit an einem trockenen
Ort. Setze die Sendeeinheit nicht
über einen längeren Zeitraum star-
ker Sonneneinstrahlung aus.

Die Sendeeinheit und der Brustgurt
sind spritzwassergeschützt. In der
nachstehend angeführten Tabelle
siehst du, für welche Aktivitäten und
Bedingungen sie geeignet sind:

Öffne den Batteriefachdeckel mit
einer Münze, indem du ihn gegen
den Uhrzeigersinn drehst.
Entnimm die alte Batterie und lege
eine neue 3V Batterie (Typ CR2032)
ein. Achte unbedingt darauf, dass
der Pluspol (+) muss dabei nach
oben zeigt.
Setze den Batteriefachdeckel wieder
auf und verschließe ihn, indem du
ihn im Uhrzeigersinn drehst. Achte
darauf, dass die Abdeckung muss
fest geschlossen sein, damit keine
Feuchtigkeit in die Sendeeinheit
eintreten kann.
