1 safety information
1.1 proper intended use
careful use of liza is essentially necessary to perform within the warranty period of the
product.
1.1.1 normal use
- the product is to be used in normal private household environment
- climatic conditions between approx. 5°C – 40°C at use
- soft button presses (with fingers …)
- only to be used in a normal humidity and temperature range (like a living room)
1.1.2 wrongful use
the list of wrongful use just excerpts some possibilities but does not include all thinkable
and unthinkable cases.
- keep liza away from water
- do not let liza fall down from heights higher than 100cm
- never use sharp pointed objects to press or touch the buttons on liza
- prevent any liquid entering liza
- do not dispose liza in municipal waste
strong and aggressive cleaning of the product
danger of damage through improper cleaning!
sharp-edged objects, abrasive or unsuitable cleaning agents can damage the device.
- keep objects that could scratch the device away from it (e.g. rings).
- use mild household cleaner (e.g. alkali-free, pH-neutral multipurpose cleaner).
- use a soft, damp cloth
- clean without exercising excessive pressure
- clean liza with a lint-free, slightly damp cloth (e.g. microfiber cloth)
- dry liza with a lint-free, soft cloth
- do not use liquid disinfection products (disinfection tissues are allowed)
1.2 danger and risks
1.2.1 danger of damage due to improper handling during charging process
the charging process is only permitted with the components provided.
removing the rechargeable battery from liza is not permitted.

1.2.2 risk of fire or electric shock due to heat or moisture
- never leave liza close to sources of heat (e.g. fire, ovens, radiators).
- prevent liza from coming into contact with liquids.

3 product operation
please carefully read all information and instructions of this user manual before activating
liza. for a better understanding of the product & product functionality, have a look at the
technical data & the faq´s on the webite i-am-liza.com.
3.1 first time activation
connect liza to a power source using the supplied cable or via wireless charging.
if possible, charge liza fully.
3.2 download the liza companion app
open the google play store (on an android phone) or the app store (on ios) and search
for the ‘liza companion app’. install the app on your smart device.
now open the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

4 battery warning
batteries are safe, but caution is necessary when using them.
- batteries can spill
- lithium is a dangerous substance. contact with the skin can cause burns.
charging only with components provided
the charging process is only permitted with the components provided (charging cable)
and with an power-adapter of max. 1A 5VDC or via wireless charging (qi-standard).
removing the rechargeable battery from liza is not permitted.
risk of fire or electric shock due to heat or moisture!
liza is equipped with a lithium-polymer rechargeable battery.
lithium is highly flammable. the battery can explode if there is excessive heat or if
liquid leaks out or enters in.
- never leave the device close to sources of heat (e.g. fire, ovens, radiators,…).
- prevent liza from coming into contact with liquids.
danger of damage due to improper handling!
damaged or prohibited cables and charging devices can make the battery unusable.
- handle liza with extreme care.
- use only the USB cable supplied and with a power-adapter of max. 1A 5VDC or wireless
charging (qi-standard).
if the battery can no longer be charged:
- please consult your dealer or customer services.

5 disposal
ATTENTION!
risk of environmental damage due to improper disposal of the device!
removing the rechargeable battery from the device is not permitted.
the shown WEEE mark means that this device and the battery installed
are in accordance with applicable laws and must be disposed separately
from normal household waste.
for proper treatment, recovery and recycling, take this product(s) to
designated collection points.
please contact your local authority for further details of your nearest
designated collection point.
