This unit was built with state-of-

generally recognised safety
related technical standards
currently applicable. These
installation instructions are
to be followed by all people
working with the unit, in both
installation and maintenance.
It is extremely important that
these installation instructions

to the relevant technicians,
engineers or servicing and
maintenance personnel. The

handling and trouble free

concerning conveyor techno-

Settings
General settings are made
by CAN-wizard. Settings
andaudiolescanbe
saved on the micro SD-card.
Micro SD-card
The memory card contains the following folders:
CFG, WAV, FIRMWARE
CFG
InCFGiswheretheleCONFIG.FD4islocated.Ithasallthe
settings of the unit. If an empty memory card is inserted, the unit
willbydefaultcreateacatalogandwritea“CONFIG.FD4-le.*
WAV
InWAViswhereanysoundles,usedbytheunit,arelocated.
AudioleshavetobeintheWAVformat(16bit,16kHzmono),and
correspond to the search path given in CAN-wizard.
FIRMWARE
When needed updated software can be added here to update the
unit.
Update of software:
1. Disconnect the power to FD4-CAN.
2. Insert a micro SD card, that has the new software located in the
folder named FIRMWARE for eg. “X:\FIRMWARE\FD4-CAN-
03_1.0.0.bin”
3. Press and hold the down-button on the backside of the
FD4-CAN, and power up the unit. Hold the down-button until
the upper part of the display reads “BLT” and the lower half
reads the software version. Then release the down-button. The
unit will now start.
4. *Fortransferofsettingsbetweenunitsseechapter“Replacing
FD4-CAN”.

microSD-Karte
Die Speicherkarte enthält folgende Ordner: CFG, WAV, FIRMWARE

Einstellungen für das Gerät enthalt. Wenn eine leere Speicherkarte
eingesetzt wird, erstellt das Gerät standardmäßig einen Katalog
underzeugteineDateimitderBezeichnung„CONFIG.FD4“.*
WAV
ImOrdnerWAVbendensichalleAudiodateien,dievondem
Gerät verwendet werden. Audiodateien müssen das Format WAV
(16 Bit, 16 kHz mono) aufweisen und unter dem in CANwizard
angegebenen Suchpfad abgelegt sein.

FIRMWARE
Bei Bedarf kann eine aktualisierte Software hinzugefügt werden,
um das Gerät zu aktualisieren.
Aktualisieren der Software:
1. Den FD4-CAN von der Stromversorgung trennen.
2. Eine microSD-Karte in das Gerät einsetzen, auf der sich die
neueSoftwareimOrdnerFIRMWAREbendet,z.B.„X:\
FIRMWARE\FD4-CAN-03_1.0.0.bin“.
3. Die Abwärts-Taste an der Rückseite des FD4-CAN gedrückt
halten und das Gerät einschalten. Die Abwärts-Taste gedrückt
halten, bis im oberen Teil der Anzeige „BLT“ und im unteren Teil
die Softwareversion angezeigt wird. Dann die Abwärts-Taste
loslassen. Das Gerät schaltet sich jetzt ein.

Mikro SD-kort
På minneskortet ligger följande mappar:

Ljudlernamåstevaraavwav-format(16bit,16kHzmono),samt
överensstämma med sökvägen angivet i CAN-wizard.
FIRMWARE
Vid behov kan nyare programvara läggas in och enheten uppda-
teras.
Uppdatering av programvara:
1. Koppla ifrån spänningen till FD4-CAN.
2. Sätt in ett mikroSD-kort som har den nya programvaran i
mappen FIRMWARE, ex. “X:\FIRMWARE\FD4-CAN-
03_1.0.0.bin”
3. Håll in ned-knappen på enhetens baksida och spänningssätt
enheten. Håll knappen intryckt tills det står “BLT” på övre halvan
av displayen och programvaruversionen på undre delen av
displayen, släpp först då knappen. Enheten startar nu upp.

Conguration Save settings from FD4-CAN on to a micro SD-card
1. Disconnect the power to FD4-CAN.
2. Insert an empty micro SD-card into the unit.
3. Power the FD4-CAN. The transfer starts automatically.
4. Notethatsoundlescannotbetransferedthisway,asthey
never are stored directly onto the FD4-CAN.
Replacing FD4
1. Disconnect the power to new unit.
2. Insert the micro SD-card from the old unit into the new unit.
3. Press and hold the down-button on the backside of the
FD4-CAN, and power up the unit. Hold the button until the
upper part of the display reads “CFG” and the lower half reads
the software version. Then release the button. The unit will now
reboot.
Austausch des FD4-CAN
1. Das neue Gerät von der Stromversorgung trennen.
2. Die microSD-Karte aus dem alten Gerät in das neue Gerät
einsetzen.
3. Die Abwärts-Taste an der Rückseite des FD4-CAN gedrückt
halten und das Gerät einschalten. Die Abwärts-Taste gedrückt
halten, bis im oberen Teil der Anzeige „CFG“ und im unteren
Teil die Softwareversion angezeigt wird. Dann die Taste
loslassen. Das Gerät wird neu gestartet.
Einstellungen vom FD4-CAN auf einer microSD-Karte
speichern
1. Den FD4-CAN von der Stromversorgung trennen.
2. Eine leere microSD-Karte in das Gerät einsetzen.
3. DenFD4-CANeinschalten.DieÜbertragungstartetautoma-
tisch.
4. Beachten Sie, dass Audiodateien nicht auf diese Weise
übertragen werden können, da sie nie direkt auf dem FD4-CAN
gespeichert werden.

Konguration
Byte av FD4
1. Koppla ifrån spänningen till den nya enheten.
2. Sätt in mikroSD-kortet från den gamla våningsvisaren i den nya
enheten.
3. Håll in ned-knappen på enhetens baksida och spänningssätt
enheten. Håll knappen intryckt tills det står “CFG” på övre
halvan av displayen och programvaruversionen på undre delen
av displayen, släpp först då knappen. Enheten startar nu upp.
Spara inställningar från FD4-CAN till mikroSD-kort
1. Koppla ifrån spänningen till FD4-CAN.
2. Sätt in ett tomt mikroSD-kort i enheten.
3. Spänningssätt FD4-CAN. Överföringen startar automatiskt.
Noteraattljudlerintekanöverföraspådettasättdådealdrig
lagras direkt på FD4-CAN.

Lautstärken, LED-Helligkeit und Knoten-ID werden mithilfe der
TastenaufderRückseitedesGerätskonguriert.Wennnach
einigen Sekunden keine Auswahl getroffen wurde, verlässt das
Gerät das Einstellungsmenü und kehrt in den normalen Modus
zurück.
Die Knoten-ID nicht verändern! Die richtige Knoten-ID wird bei der
Lieferung festgelegt.
