CE MARKING
Markings are placed at the rear of the unit, regarding the power ratings and compliance.
The symbol on the PC chassis indicates that it is in compliance with the Electromagnetic
Compatibility directive (2014/30/UE), the low Voltage directive (2014/35/UE) and the RoHS
directive (2011/65/UE). A certificate of compliance is available by contacting technical support. This
equipment is a:
✔Group 1 Class A product
Recommendation concerning the cabling:
CE certification has been carried out with 3-meter interconnecting cables with remote equipment.
SAFRAN DATA SYSTEMS recommends the use of high quality interconnecting cables type. The high
quality recommended user interconnecting cables are “shield twisted pair” or “coaxial cable” industrial
type with cable shield. The cable shield will provide the necessary mechanical protection.
Not using this high quality designed cable could result in unexpected intersystem / extrasystem
electromagnetic emission and susceptibility.

1 AIM
The Cortex RTR broadband Radio Telemetry Receiver is a complete telemetry receiver including RF
receivers, pre-detection and post-detection processing, demodulators, bit synchronizers and decoders,
data transmission on Ethernet. It is based on the Cortex architecture, having versatile features for all
telemetry applications. It provides a TCP/IP socket interface allowing integration into any system type,
and an easy-to-use GUI for configuration and monitoring. It is a compact design housed in a single 4U
unit using PCI express bus architecture, including screen and keyboard for direct operation.
Many analog features are provided (AGC outputs, tape in/out, AM demodulator out, 70 MHz
interface…) for the purpose of test and to interface with external equipment
The RTR-NeXt exists in different packages:
RTR Dual Channel : Dual Channel with three demodulators
oIRIG band (P, C-IF, LL, UL, S) : S109992 (Previously SM01059943A)
oS band : S109997 (Previously SM01059941A)
RTR Quad Channel : 2 X Dual Channel with three demodulators per dual receiver
oIRIG band (P, C-IF, LL, UL, S) : S109994 (Previously SM01059948A)
oS band : S110002 (Previously SM01059947A)
Note:
1. C band is optional.
