What is Magic TOK?
Magic TOK is a new smart solution that provides voice recognition based
high-quality automatic translation service.
Magic TOK makes you convinient to communicate in foreign languages
without human interpreters.
MagicTOK is an stranslation appcessory for Android OS smart phone users.
This manual is supporting for the users with Android OS based smart phones.
App. and manual for i-phones will be provided soon.

Paring the SNIBT-100S with Smartphone
- Settings –Networks –Bluetooth menu
“Magic TOK” App installing
Registering the SNIBT-100S (model name of Magic
TOK) in ‘Device Register and Connect’menu of
Magic TOK App.
Setting the languages(select language character)
Ready to use
Device registering and setting process (Ⅰ)

①Charge the Magic TOK Device
- Connect device to charging adapter using micro USB cable.
- More than 2 days available without recharging.
②Install the Magic TOK app in your smartphone
Input“MagicTOK”in ‘Search bar of “Google Play”.
※ If “Google Play”is not available, Download the ‘magictok.apk’ from the site “www.magictok.com/download”
③Power on your Magic TOK Device
④Select 'SNIBT-100S ' in the menu of smartphone‘Settings / Networks / Bluetooth‘
(If 'SNIBT-100S ‘ is not seen, press the ‘Search’ button)
⑤Activate the Magic TOK app.
(in case of bluetooth/off in your smartphone, a pop-up message of requesting the bluetooth/on will be
shown.)
⑥Press the Menu of the App, Select the ‘Register/Connect Device’ menu and then Select“SNIBT-100S”
-Just needed once for initial connection, after then your device is automatically connected to “Magic TOK”
app whenever it is running.(Your device should be powered on)
- To connect with the other smartphone, try ④⑤⑥steps.
①Select the pairs of translation languages in the Magic TOK app.
- Top of the app screen : Ι-language(User’s language)
- bottom of the screen : U-language(for foreign language)
②Speak when you hear ‘beep’ after your click of “I” button in Magic TOK Device (For “I” language).
Let the foreigner speak when he/she hears ‘beep’ after your click of “U” button (For “U” language).
※Device is optimized for 1m distance between interlocutors. (please refer the picture in later page)
※The more clear pronunciation in simple sentence, you can get the better translation quality.

Just needed once for the initial connection of device, after then automatically
connected to “Magic TOK” app whenever it is running.

Voice Input
Click or Push “I” or “U” button then 3 types of signal for
readiness to hear the voice.
- Beep, Blue LED on device, and pop-up in app.
Please speak after these signals.
Silence longer than 1 second is accepted as an end of input.
Then hearing is stopped and translating will be started.

Optimal distance for voice recognition is 1m.
Optimal distance for Device While phone call
Bluetooth will be disconnected temporarily while phone
calls.

If the ‘Please check your network connection’ is popped-up at I/U button click,
check your mobile Network(LTE, 3G, WiFi, etc) of smartphone.
In the case of malfunction of translation engine, ‘Please check your network
connection’ can be shown too.
If there is no voice input during 20 seconds after click I/U button, ‘Please try again’
will be shown.
In the case of voice input failure resulted from too high noise like horn, ‘Please try
again’ will be shown too.
Magic TOK is designed to select bluetooth mode automatically. But a certain case
of smartphones, the sound may be emitted from smartphone speaker. In that
case, please select the right mode by ‘Bluetooth mode selection’ menu in the
Magic TOK app menu. Try each mode until the speaker work properly.

Exceptional Case

Q1. Mobile Network for smartphone is necessary. What about in the overseas?
A : Mobile network, WiFi or Data roaming is required for your overseas usages.
Q2. The validity term of Magic TOK service?
A : Magic TOK is a translating service combined with Device and App. The 1-year service license is included in
the Device price. You can buy a 1-year extension license.(The App. payment menu will be provided soon.)
Q3. Do you have any plan for other languages?
A : Now Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese are available. We are going to phase more languages,
Vietnamese, European languages, etc., from 2017.
Q4. Quality is hard in a small noisy room?
A : Echoes by windows and walls in a small room make it hard for voice recognition. Please speak close to the
Device, that will be helpful for good recognition.
Q5. When I speak slowly to the device, suddenly hearing is stopped and translating begins.
A : Magic TOK consider a silence longer than 1 second as an end of sentence. Speaking a sentence at one go is
very helpful for the accurate translation because the ending point of recognition is very important for machine
translation.
Q6. Inaccuracy of voice recognition?
A : Accurate recognition depends on accurate pronunciation.
- Avoid to use the filled pauses such as uh, er, um.
- Avoid to use a broad dialect.
- Use complete sentences where possible.
Q7. Hard voice recognition at unique pronouns such as name, brand, terminology?
A : The translation Engine of Magic TOK is based on the Deep Learning technique of A.I or Artificial Intelligence.
Continuous DB updating is conducted for unique pronouns such as name, brand, terminology sequentially in
order of frequency so that can be improved gradually.
Q8. Hard voice recognition at my foreign language pronunciation?
A : Magic TOK voice recognition is set for native speakers’ pronunciation. The vocalization and intonation pattern
difference in each languages causes a bad recognition of your foreign language pronunciation. So, Magic
TOK is a good tool for your foreign language training.
Q9. Good at recognition but bad at translation?
A : Artificial Intelligence based Machine translation is progressing fast, but Machine translation is not perfect for
complex sentences, yet. We recommend to split a complex sentence like a conditional sentence into simple
sentences.
