Brief Description:
The PIXIE Multifunction Rotary Control comes with a dial to enhance the interaction in the PIXIE smart home control. It’s a secondary device in PIXIE system, and
can air with a PIXIE master device, a grou , or scenes to achieve intuitive remote control.

1. Switch off the mains ower
2. Wire it with active and neutral according to the cable color and wiring diagram. Blue
cable for neutral, red cable for active.
3. Energize the roduct
4. Pair it with a master device, a grou , or scenes

-The LED indicator flashes to highlight blue when the dial is ressed once

Pairing Instructions
How to pair with a PIXIE master device – without phone
1. Make sure the PIXIE master device enters airing mode. For most PIXIE master devices, quickly ress the button 4 times will make it into airing mode. For PIXIE smart
stri kits, long ress the “Power button” on the remote will let it enter airing mode.
2. Quickly ress the dial of PIXIE Multifunction Remote Control 4 times within 30 seconds, when the LED indicator flashes twice and kee s solid for 2 seconds, the airing
is successful
How to pair with a PIXIE master device – with phone (Recommended)
3. Make sure the PIXIE master device is added into the A , either PIXIE or PIXIE PLUS
4. Stand close to the PIXIE Multifunction Rotary Control
5. Launch the A , navigate to “Devices”, then find the PIXIE master device that needs to be aired, go to device detail age by ressing its icon
6. Ta to right three dots, then ta “Pairing” in the o -out list
7. Quickly ress the dial of PIXIE Multifunction Remote Control 4 times within 30 seconds, when the LED indicator flashes twice and kee s solid for 2 seconds, the airing
is successful.
How to pair with a group – with phone only
8. Stand close to the PIXIE Multifunction Remote Control
9. Launch the A , navigate to “Grou ”, then select the grou that needs to be aired, go to grou detail age by ressing its icon
10. Ta to right three dots, then ta “Pairing” in the o -out list
11. Quickly ress the dial of PIXIE Multifunction Control 4 times within 30 seconds, when the LED indicator flashes twice and kee s solid for 2 seconds, the airing is
successful

12. Stand close to the PIXIE Multifunction Rotary Control
13. Launch the A , navigate to “Scene”, ta to right three dots, then ta “Pairing” in the o -out list, follow the guide in the a and select the referred scenes,
then ress “Confirm and Start Pairing” to start airing
14. Quickly ress the dial of PIXIE Multifunction Rotary Control 4 times within 30 seconds, when the LED indicator flashes twice and kee s solid for 2 seconds, the airing is
successful
Trouble Shooting
Case Issue Suggestions
The LED indicator doesn’t light up -Please check the wiring and make sure the wiring is correct
-Press the button 7 times see if the standby LED indicator was turned off
The LED indicator flashes after quickly pressing
the button 4 times, but it doesn’t pair, and
finally times out
-Please check if the PIXIE Multifunction Rotary Control is within the wireless signal range of the PIXIE
master device
-Make sure there is at least the PIXIE master device is in airing mode rior to ressing the dial of PIXIE
Multifunction Rotary Control 4 times
The LED indicator shows it’s paired successfully,
but it doesn’t control
-Make sure the PIXIE Multifunction Rotary Control is within wireless signal coverage of the aired PIXIE
master devices (within 15 meters in o en s ace, may require closer roximity de ending on installation
environment)
-If it has to be beyond wireless coverage, lease de loy PIXIE signal boosters between PIXIE
Multifunction Rotary Control and PIXIE master devices
 Scan QR code or go to A store (IOS) or Google Play (Android) to download the free PIXIE
a to your smart hone. IOS: Requires IOS

General product application requirements (if applicable):
1.
Recycling – SAL encourages recycling, lease consider the environment when dis osing of ackaging, batteries & com onents.
2.
Switching or test intervals – For o timum roduct erformance, good design ractice does not encourage 24/7 o eration of lighting roducts without the rovision
of a routine switching or regulatory test cycle. As a guide for continual o eration installations, a twelve (12) hour duration for Industrial and Commercial a lications
and a six (6) hour duration for Residential a lications should be considered.
3.
Product maintenance – In line with the relevant design standards and to rotect your investment, it is im ortant to have in lace a routine cleaning rogram that
reflects the installation environment and maintains the roduct in a clean and functional condition.
IMPORTANT - The su ly must be isolated before any roduct maintenance or cleaning is conducted. In addition, damage to ANY cable or cord su lied with the
roduct must be addressed as follows; For attachment ty e X having a s ecially re ared cable, if the external flexible cable is damaged, it must be re laced by an
equivalent cable exclusively available from the manufacturer or authorised installer. For attachment ty e Y, if the external flexible cable is damaged, it must be
exclusively re laced by an equivalent cable by the manufacturer or authorised installer. For attachment ty e Z, if the external flexible cable is damaged, the cable
cannot be re laced and the luminaire must be destroyed.
4.
Adverse, corrosive and coastal installation environments
– Unless the roduct is s ecifically designated for such a lications in these installation instructions, which is
su orted by a rofessional maintenance rogram; installation of equi ment in such environments is not recommended.
5. Warranty – In accordance with SAL’s standard terms and conditions of sale, SAL warrant this roduct to be free from defects in materials and or workmanshi for a
eriod as stated below for goods not subject to incorrect installation, maintenance, o eration, mishandling, environmental, unauthorised modifications or electrical
o erating conditions outside the nominated roduct s ecification as detailed in these installation instructions. The benefits to you given by this warranty are in addition
to other rights and remedies you have under law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to
a re lacement or refund for a major failure and com ensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods re aired
or re laced if the goods fail to be of acce table quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Warranty term
– Residential usage (12) months, Commercial usage (12) months, Re laceable lam s (where su lied) (12) months and batteries where su lied (12)
months from date of urchase.
How to make a claim?
Step # 1 – Within 30 days of the fault discovery, lease contact the original lace of the SAL roduct urchase during standard (local) business hours, with the following
information (a) roof of urchase (b) descri tion and quantity of the claimed fault (c) address of installation. (d) o erating hours of the roduct.
Step # 2 – It is then the res onsibility of the original lace of roduct urchase to re ort the matter to SAL aftersales;

Step # 3 - U on review of your claim and if the roduct is required to be returned to SAL for technical evaluation, then at the owners ex ense the roduct must be
returned to SAL as er the above nominated locations.
Step # 4 - Pending the evaluation, the claim will be validated resulting in the roduct being re aired or re laced with the same or best equivalent roduct at the
discretion of SAL, or rejected if the roduct fault was found to be caused by conditions beyond the res onsibility of SAL warranty obligations. Consideration of
installation, roduct removal, return freight and or testing fees are not the res onsibility of SAL.
