．1 Preparation before operating the machine
The machine must be securely placed on a bench with suitable height.
Clean the cutters with rag to remove the anti-rust oil before use.

It is very important to ground the machine with a grounding wire of 5 sq.
mm cross-sectional area. Failing which, components on the PCB may be
damaged due to high static voltage.

Check the fuse box and see whether the fuse has been burnt off.
Replace a new fuse if necessary.

．The power socket on the main power supply is used as secondary power supply for the
conveyor belt if it is chose as an option.

．Gap adjustment for top and bottom cutters
Adjust the cutters distance according to PCB thickness and material.
In order to prevent clashing between top and bottom cutters, it is necessary to
check and adjust the cutters so as to ensure that the gap in between is optimum
for the type and thickness of PCB under consideration.
Adjustment is achievable by tuning the clutch attached to the machine.
1, Move the up cutter fixture to easy adjustment.

，There is a dial on the top cutter fixture 1, the scale is 0.1mm
Make sure that the top cutter is raised to scale “16” when moving the
machine.

，Hold knob 19 tightly and release the knob
Turn knob 18 till the pointer reaches “16” on the scale.
Hold knob 18 firmly and tighten knob 19 to secure the top cutter.

Turn on the power, the light at “0” button starts to blink. Regardless of the top
cutter’s position, press “0” button and the light becomes on all the time. Now
step on the foot-switch.
Hold on the foot-switch till the light at “0” button starts to blink again and the
top cutter moves to Home location, then release the foot-switch.

Select cutter travelling distance according to the length of PCB for cutting.
There are scales (0,100,200,300,400),”length” button and “speed” button on the
front cover.
Example for length setting:
a) Set cutter travelling distance from 0 to 100
b) Push the button at scale “100”
c) Lamps at “0” button and “100” button light up
d) Step on the foot-switch till the top cutter travelled to “100” position and
stopped.
e) The cutter will travel back to “0” position when the foot-switch is released.
f) After this setting, the top cutter will travel between 0 and 100.
Note:Kick the kick starter till the up cutter move to “100” then release the kick
starter.The up cutter will home to “0” when re-kick the kick starter.Then the up
cutter will run between|”0”and “100”

Select cutter according to PCB thickness.
There are two types of cutter available in SAM, namely Cutter A and Cutter
B. The difference being the cutting angle.
Cutter A use for PCB thickness >0.6mm
Cutter B use for PCB thickness <0.６

： Standard for adjustment of gap between top and bottom cutters.
The pressure subjected on the PCB is indirectly proportional to the gap between
the top and bottom cutters. The best condition is that the de-paneling can be
achieved with the maximum gap between the top and bottom cutters.
Technician responsible is to keep a record on the parameters on both the PCB
thickness and the maximum gap allowed when the optimum result is achieved. (a
plug gauge may be used in this case)

1. Cutter warranty::600 thousands times.
2. Re-sha pening o eplace a new cutte afte wo king 600 thousand-times othe wise the cutting
quality will be effected.
3. Clean the cutters with rag daily.
4. Vacuum clean the internal part of the machine and the fixture daily.
5. Apply anti-rust oil on the cutters and keep the top and bottom cutters at
maximum distance if the machine is not going to be in used for some time.
6. Keep the machine in a clean and dry location.
