Installingtheunit
WARNING
IMPORTANT:When installingthe unit,alwaysremember
toconnectfirsttherefrigeranttubes,thenthe electrical
lines.
• Always disassemble the electric lines before the
refrigerant tubes.
• Upon receipt, inspectthe product toverifythat
it has not been damaged during transport. If the
product appears damaged, DO NOTINSTALLit and
immediatelyreport the damage to the carrieror
retailer(if the installerorthe authorized technician has
collected the material from the retailer.)
• Aftercompleting the installation, always carryout a
functional test and provide the instructions on howto
operatethe airconditionerto the user.
• Do not use the airconditionerin environmentswith
hazardous substances orclose to equipmentthat
release free flames to avoid the occurrence of fires,
explosions orinjuries.
• Ourunits must be installed in compliancewith the
space specifications presented in the installation
manual in orderto ensure accessibilityfrom both sides
and allowrepairs ormaintenance operations to be
carried out.
The unit’s components must be accessible and easyto
disassemblewithout endangering people and objects.
Forthis reason,where it is not observed as indicated
into the Installation Manual,the cost necessary
to reach and repairthe unit (in safety, as required
bycurrent regulations inforce)with slings, trucks,
scaffolding oranyothermeans of elevationwon’t be
considered in-warrantyand charged to end user.
Powersupplyline,fuseorcircuit
breaker
WARNING
• Always make sure thatthe powersupplyis compliant
with current safetystandards.Always installthe air
conditionerin compliancewith current local safety
standards.
• Alwaysverifythat a suitable grounding connection is
available.
• Verifythat the voltage and frequencyof the power
supplycomplywith the specifications and that the
installed poweris sufficient to ensure the operation of
anyotherdomestic appliance connected to the same
electric lines.
• Alwaysverifythat the cut-off and protection switches
are suitablydimensioned.
• Verifythat the air conditioneris connected to the
powersupplyin accordancewith the instructions
provided in thewiring diagram included in the manual.
• Alwaysverifythat electric connections (cable entry,
section of leads, protections…) are compliant with
the electric specifications andwith the instructions
provided in thewiring scheme. Alwaysverify that all
connections complywith the standards applicable to
the installation of airconditioners.
• Devices disconnected from the powersupplyshould
be completely disconnected inthe condition of
overvoltage category.
• Be sure notto perform powercable modification,
extensionwiring, and multiplewire connection.
– It maycause electric shock orfire due to poor
connection, poorinsulation, orcurrent limit override.
– When extensionwiring is required due to power
line damage, referto Step13 Optional: Extending
the powercable in the installation manual.
CAUTION
Makesurethatyou earththecables.
• Do not connect the earthwire to the gas pipe,water
pipe, lighting rod ortelephonewire. If earthing is not
complete, electric shock orfire mayoccur.
Installthe circuitbreaker.
• If the circuit breakeris not installed, electric shock or
fire mayoccur.
Makesurethatthe condensedwaterdrippingfromthe
drainhose runs outproperlyand safely.
Install thepowercable and communication cable of
the indoorand outdoorunit at least1m away from the
electricappliance.
Install theindoorunit awayfrom lighting apparatus
usingthe ballast.
• If you use the wireless remote control, reception error
mayoccurdue to the ballast ofthe lighting apparatus.
