The WDR(Wide Dynamic Range)DAY/NIGHT camera sha be used to
express both dark and bright part distinctive y in the screen with a dua
shutter. The conventiona camera c ips the screen white when a bright
object ike a window occupies the screen whi e this camera is a technica y
integrated state-of-the-art product to revive even a brighter part distinctive y.
The DAY/NIGHT Camera operates in a co or mode in an the i umination
over the standard va ue and otherwise in B/W mode by de eting the IR Cut
function, which contributes to the improvement of sensitivity so that it is
ca ed a ow i umination camera which is ab e to identify objects in a dark
area. Meanwhi e, it has incorporated a Sense Up function owing to a ow
speed shutter and a fie d accumu ation method to improve its ow
i umination feature prominent y.
The DAY/NIGHT Camera is most y used in dark p aces ike basement
parking ots with a comparative y ow i umination. In daytime, it provides a
co or screen of high density with a horizonta reso ution of 480, and, at
night, it uti izes the DAY/NIGHT function as we as the Sense Up function
to identify objects. In same cases, you may use this camera in re ation to
the infrared ray emission equipment additiona y.

short it revives both the indoor and outdoor status as they are ceary.

High Sensitivity

Function of WDR

both the indoor and outdoor status as they are c ear y.
Low Illumination Function
It has both a ow i umination function and DAY/NIGHT function based on
digita signa techno ogy in order to operate in the worst environment
without ight.
Su erior Back Light Adjustment Function
In case the object has a bright i umination or sun ight behind it, this camera
adjusts the image shaded by the back ight for c ear photographs.
Digital Power Su ly Synchronization Method
The Fu Digita Method Line Lock is rea ized in this camera, which adjusts
the vertica camera synchronization direct y to improve contro abi ity and
re iabi ity of the camera.
High Resolution
It rea izes high reso ution resu ting from fu digita image processing
supported by a state-of-art digita signa techno ogy.
Out ut Signal Setting
You may se ect the REVERSE (horizonta y, vertica y, or both) function of

Auto Iris Lens Control Cable
This cable transmits the control signal from the camera to control the lens
shutter.
Back Focus Control Bar
It controls the back focus.
ALC Lens Setting Switch
This switch sets the Auto Iris lens type for use.
DC : When you attach an Auto Iris lens requiring the DC control signal,
please put this switch in the DC position.
IDEO : When you attach an Auto Iris lens requiring the video control
signal, please put this switch in the IDEO position.
① Power Display LED
When the camera is supplied with power, LED is on.
➁ideo Output Terminal
The monitor video input terminal is connected with this terminal through
which the camera video signal comes out.
➂Remote Input Terminal(RS-232)
This terminal is used for camera control at the production plant.

➃ DAY/NIGHT External Signal In ut & Alarm Signal Out ut
This is a function to receive the externa DAY/NIGHT signa from the
sensor(option) and convert the signa into BW. The MOTION DET
function generates an a arm signa when a movement is detected.
⑤ Camera O eration Switch(Setu Switch)
The function of the camera operation switch changes depending on
whether the camera is current y in the usua operation mode(No setup
menu is seen on the screen) or the setup menu mode.
[UP/DOWN] key : These keys move up or down the cursor.
[LEFT/RIGHT] key : These keys move the cursor to the eft or right or
identify the va ues sequentia y which can be
assigned in each setup menu.
[ENTER] key : It is used to enter the Setup menu.(Press it about 2
seconds.)
It is used to enter a sub-menu of a setup menu by
c icking the setup menu or to set the current va ue.

connect any externa device such as a buzzer or amp to the ALARM

Chapter 4 Installation

This chapter describes what shou d be checked before insta ation, how to
set the insta ation environment, and what shou d be done during
insta ation. Then, it describes how to insta the camera and connect the
cab e in actua circumstances. ① Do not disassemb e the camera on your own.
➁Be carefu when hand ing the camera at a times. Do not strike the
camera with your fists or shake it. The camera shou d be stored and
treated with care to avoid any damage.
➂Do not put or operate the camera in rain or wet p aces.
➃ Do not scrub the camera body with rough sandpaper when it is stained.
P ease use a dry c oth at a times.
⑤ Put the camera in a coo area free from direct ight. Otherwise, the
camera may be damaged.

Connecting Auto Iris Lens Connector
Prepare the Auto Iris ens connector, a camera auxi iary, as fo ows :
Connect each uncovered shutter contro cab e wire to the Auto Iris ens
connector as fo ows.

Setting Switch Control
Back Focus Adjustment
You shou d change the position of the ens setting switch on the side of the
camera according to the ens type. Depending on whether you fixed the DC
contro type Auto Iris ens or video contro type automatic shutter ens, you
shou d put the switch in "DC" or "VIDEO" position respective y.
The camera back focus is adjusted at the p ant before de ivery, but some
enses are out of focus though the number differs in types. If it's the case,
you shou d make the back focus adjustment as fo ows. First, this is the
back focus adjustment procedure for fixed focus enses.
Lenses with zoom function
① Image an object with high reso ution(etticed) at a distance of 3 to 5 m
and zoom in the ens as c ose to TELE as possib e. Then adjust the ens
focus bar unti the object is seen best.
➁Zoom in the ens as c ose to WIDE as possib e and adjust the BACK
FOCUS adjustment bar unti the object is seen best.
➂Repeat from ①to ➁above 2 or 3 times unti the focus on the ZOOM
TELE side is in ine with that on the ZOOM WIDE side.
Lenses without zoom function
① Image an object with high reso ution( etticed) at more than 10m distance
and put the ens focus ring in the infinite(∞) position.
➁Rotate the BACK FOCUS contro bar unti the object is seen best.
➂Tighten the BACK FOCUS contro bar fixing screw.

This chapter describes how to set up the camera. The first part
describes the who e set up menu and composition and the second part
describes the function of each menu. This CAMERA ID menu designates a CAMERA ID on the monitor screen
connected to the camera. If you turn on the CAMERA ID menu and press
the [ENTER] key, the sub-screen wi appear to designate a CAMERA ID.
The CAMERA ID may be composed of etters, numbers, specia texts, or a
combination of these up to 20 digits. The designated CAMERA ID can be
ocated at any p ace as desired by using the submenu

This CAMERA has an IRIS function for automatic contro of the brightness
eve through the intensity of radiation. The ALC can se ect the DC IRIS
eve , VIDEO IRIS, and ELC LEVEL.

If you se ect the DC menu and press the [ENTER] key, the sub-screen
wi appear to set the brightness eve. Here, you are ab e to set the
brightness eve by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT key in the LEVEL
menu. Leve setting is avai abe on y by using the DC IRIS ens.
Then, you sha puts the ALC LENS se ection switch on the side of the
camera in the “DC” position.
❿VIDEO
It is used whi e the VIDEO ens is in use. You sha use the variab e
resistor attached to the IRIS LEVEL LENS for the contro . Then put the
ALC LENS se ection switch on the camera side in “VIDEO” position.

This menu contro s the High Speed Shutter Leve within a imited range
in the event of too intensive radiation from outside whi e using the
Manua Lens. If you se ect the ELC in the IRIS menu and press the
[ENTER] key, the fo owing subscreen wi appear. Here, you are ab e to
set the eve by pressing the LEFT or RIGHT key.

If you use an ordinary camera when there is an intense and concentrated
i umination behind an object, the back ight wi shade the image on the
monitor screen. The BLC function prevents such a back ight effect to secure
a c ear image under a i umination environments. Press the LEFT or RIGHT
key at OFF to set the USER function for a setting of the a ready set 5 areas
incuding BOTTOM..., TOP..., LEFT..., RIGHT..., and CENTER. If you se ect
the BOTTOM... in the BLC menu and press the [ENTER] key, you wi be ab e
to certify the a ready set BOTTOM area.

The COLOR/BW menu turns the IR(Infrared) Fi ter on or off. In ow
i umination environments, the BW mode wi turn off the IR Fi ter and the
sensitivity wi be as high as that of BW cameras. Otherwise, the BW mode
wi turn on the IR Fi ter and the sensitivity wi return to norma to recover
the norma screen.

This menu automatica y converts the COLOR Mode into the BW Mode
or vice versa depending on i umination. In ow i umination
environments, it turns off the IR Fi ter to raise sensitivity, otherwise it
turns on the IR Fi ter to ower sensitivity.
If you se ect the AUTO menu and press the [Enter] key, the BW LEVEL
Contro AUTO BW submenu wi appear on the menu screen. You wi be
ab e to send out the BURST signa by turning on or off in this menu, set
up the DURATION TIME for conversion, or set up the standard
brightness eve for converting the COLOR mode into the BW mode.

❿AGC
The AGC menu ightens the screen be ow the standard brightness
because of the object taken in dark i umination. Setting up the AGC
menu is avai abe on y in either High Speed Shutter mode or OFF mode.
If you press the LEFT or RIGHT key to reach the LOW or HIGH position,
the AGC function wi start activating. LOW is used for the ower AGC
GAIN whereas HIGH is used for the higher AGC GAIN.
Whi e the COLOR/BW menu is set to AUTO, the AGC menu is a --- and
the maximum AGC GAIN stays at HIGH.
The SHUTTER menu sets up the high speed e ectronic shutter, AUTO
ow speed shutter. The high speed e ectronic shutter covers 7 shutter
speeds from 1/100 to 1/10K seconds and is common y used for imaging
fast moving objects. Both the ow speed shutter cover 10 shutter speeds
from x2 to x160, which s ows the shutter speed to make c earer and
brighter the screen images taken in dark i umination. If you want to s ow
the shutter speed automatica y depending on the degree of darkness by
sensing the intensity of radiation, p ease se ect the AUTO ow speed.
If you keep pressing the LEFT or RIGHT key, the fo owing speeds appear
in sequence.

❿MOTION
The MOTION function is avai ab e on y in the AUTO mode with these 5
steps: S.SLOW, SLOW, NORM, FAST, F.FAST.
The S.SLOW minimizes the intensity of the AGC to monitor stab e
objects in the dark
The SLOW keeps the intensity of AGC ow to monitor objects with a
itt e movement in the dark.
The NORM standardizes the intensity of AGC to monitor moving
objects in the dark.
The FAST keeps the intensity of AGC high to monitor fast moving
objects in the dark.
The F.FAST maximize the intensity of AGC to monitor very fast
moving objects in the dark.
To activate the MOTION function, you shou d press the DOWN key to
move the cursor to the MOTION menu and press the LEFT or RIGHT
key whi e the SHUTTER menu is set to AUTO. Pressing the LEFT and
RIGHT key enab es you to move to the SLOW mode and FAST mode
respective y

If you se ect the ATW mode in the WHITE BAL menu, you wi be ab e to
monitor the co or temperature change by rea time and set up the White
Ba ance to the rea time co or temperature automatica y.
❿AWC
If you se ect the AWC mode in the WHITE BAL menu, you wi be ab e to
set up the White Ba ance to the rea time co or temperature on y once
which wi be maintained thereafter. If you se ect the AWC mode in the
WHITE BAL menu, fix a screen that you want to image, and press the
[ENTER] key. Then the AWC function wi start activating.

If you se ect the MANU.. mode in the WHITE BAL menu, you wi be ab e
to set up the White Ba ance in consideration of the current i umination
manua y. If you se ect the MANU... item and press the [ENTER] key, the
MANU... submenu wi appear to se ect the White Ba ance. If you press
the LEFT or RIGHT key in the PRESET menu, you wi be ab e to se ect
the 3200K, 5600K, or USER mode.
3200K : Set the co or temperature to 3200°K
5600K : Set the co or temperature to 5600°K.
USER : Use the RED and BLUE contro bar to se ect a proper va ue
for setup.

The INT mode is necessary for using the interna synchronization and
the LINE... mode is necessary for the operation of mu ti cameras
because it synchronizes the camera phase by using the externa
signa (AC Signa ). A itt e phase deviation for some sets may be a igned
by adjusting the PHASE. The SYNC function is avai abe on y with AC
power source. Put the cursor on the SYNC, press the LEFT/RIGHT key
to se ect the LINE... item, and press the [ENTER] key. Now, you wi see
the submenu to adjust the PHASE. The PHASE ranges from -106H to
+106H(NTSC), -138H to +138H(PAL).

When you use DC power source, the SYNC Menu is fu --- and you can
not use the SYNC function.

You can contro the BAUD RATE, REVERSE, POSI/NEGA, DETAIL, and
MOTION DET function by yourse f in the SPECIAL menu. If your se ect the
SPECIAL menu and press the [ENTER] key, the SPECIAL submenu screen
wi appear.

❿BAUD RATE : Sets the communication speed to 4800, 9600, 19200, or
38400bps for RS-232 communication.
❿REVERSE : REVERSES THE SCREEN IN 3 MODES, LEFT/RIGHT,
UP/DOWN, OR LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN.
❖Note: P ease reset the BLC, MOTION, PRIVACY area because they don’t change
by a means.
❿POSI/NEGA : Outputs the video brightness signa norma y or reverse y.
The brightness eve is high at inverted output.
❿DETAIL : Adjusts the horizonta and vertica sharpness.
❿MOTION DET : MOTION DET detects any movement of objects. if you
activate the MOTION DET function at the time when you expect nobody
to move, the function wi detect the movement of an intruder Once
detected, the function outputs the ALARM signa . The MOTION DET
function detects any movement and se ects the movement sensitivity
and the area to detect the movement. If you se ect the ON... mode and
press the [ENTER] key, the MOTION DET submenu screen wi appear.

designating one among ALL, CENTER, BOTTOM, TOP, LEFT, or RIGHT. If
you se ect BOTTOM and hit the ENTER key, the se ected area wi be
disp ayed in the screen.
The SENSITIVITY is used to setup the strength of the MOTION
DETECTION in 7 eve s.
❿PRIVACY : This function is aiming at the protection of persona privacy,
se ecting a screen part b ack not to be disp ayed in the screen.
This function permits the contro of the strength eve in 8 eves.
You may setup the size and ocation of the area.
