Internet security
Samsung takes anumber ofsteps to protect its Internet-compatible Smart TVs against unauthorized incursions and
hacking. For example, certain sensitive communications between the TV and the Internetservers are encrypted.ln
addition,the
TV's operating system has adopted controls to preventthe installation ofunauthorized applications.
Although
we take steps to protectyour Smart TV and personal information, no Internet-connected device or
transmission is completely secure. We therefore encourage you totake additionalsteps to safeguard your TV, secure
your Internetconnection, and minimizethe risk ofunauthorized access. Th ese steps are listed below:
•
When Samsung releases software updatesto improve the security ofyour TV, you should promptly install
these
updates. To automatically receive these updates, turn on Auto Update in the TV's menu (Support>
Software Update> Auto Update) . When an update is available, a popup message appears on the TV screen.
Accept the software download and update by se lecting YES when prompted. Take steps to secure your wireless
router
and network. Your router's manual should provide additional details about how to implementthe
following
measures:
- Secure your wireless router's managementsettings with aunique password to prevent unauthorized
changes to security related settings.
-Implementstandard encryption
(e . g., WPA2 encryption) on yourwireless routerto secure yourwireless
network
signal.
- Secure access toyour wireless networkwith ahard-to-guess password.
-Confirm your router'sfirewall setting is enabled (if so equipped).

Make sure thatallyour Internet-connected devices are behind your network'sfirewall.
-Ifyour router or modem
has astandby mode button, use itto disconnectyour home networkfrom the
Internet
when it is not in use.
• Use strong passwords forallyour Internet accounts (Netflix, Face book, etc.). Ifyour TV has a camera, recess the
camera intothe TV's bezelwhen it is not in use . Recessing the camera makes it inoperative.
• If
any unexpected messages appear on your TV screen requesting permission tolinka device orenablearemote
session, do NOT accept.
• Do notvisit suspicious web sites and do not install any suspicious programs. We recommend that users install
only those authorized
apps provided by Samsung through Samsung Smart Hub .

Mounting the TV on a wall
II\ If you mount this TV on a wall, follow the instructionsexactly as set out by the manufacturer. Unless it is
~ correctly mounted, the TV may slide or fall and cause serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage
to the TV.
For models providing wall mount adapters, install them as shown in the figure below before installing the wall
mount kit.

wall mount kit, we recommend you fasten all four VESA screws.

If you want to install a wall mount kit that attaches to the wall using two top screws only, be sure to use a
Samsung
wal l mount kit that supportsthis type of installation. (You may not be able to purchase this type of
wall mount kit, depending on the geographical region.)

Pairing the TV to the Samsung Smart Remote

When you turn on the TV for the firsttime, the Samsung Smart Remote pairs
tothe TV automatically. Ifthe Samsung Smart Remote does not pair to the TV
automatically, point it atthe remote control sensor ofthe TV, and then press
and hold the buttons labeled c;, and (t as shown in the figure on the left
simultaneouslyfor 3
seconds or more.
Installing batteries into the Samsung Smart Remote
To installthe batteries, push the rear cover open in the direction ofthe arrow, and then insertthe batteries as shown
in the figure. Make sure thatthe positive and negative ends are facing in the correct direction.
• Alkaline batteries
are recommended for longer battery life.

Eco Sensor adjuststhe brightness ofthe TV automatically. This feature measures the light in your room and
optimizes the brightness ofthe TV automaticallyto reduce power consumption. If you wanttoturnthis off, go toe

• Ifthe screen is toodark while you are watching TV in adarkenvironment, it may be due tothe
Ambient Light Detection function.

Do not blockthe sensor with any object. This can decrease picture brightness.
StiLL image warning
Avoid displaying still images (such as jpeg picturefiles), still image elements (such as TV channel logos, stock
or
news crawls atthe screen bottom etc.), orprograms in panorama or 4:3 imageformat on the screen. If you
constantly display still pictures, it can cause image burn-in on the LED screen and affectimagequality. To reduce the
ri
sk ofthis adverse effect, please followthe recommendations below:
• Avoid displaying the same TV channelforlong periods.
• Always
try todisplay any image in full screen. Use the pictureformat menu of the TV forthe best possible match.
•
Reduce brightness and contrast to avoid the appearance ofafter-images.
• Use all TV features designed to reduce image retention and screen burn. Refer tothee-Manual fordetails.
Caring for the TV
• Ifasticker was attached tothe TV screen, some debris can remain
after
you remove thesticker. Please clean the debris off before
watching TV.
• The exterior and screen ofthe TV can getscratched during cleaning.
Be sure towipe the exterior and screen carefully using asoftcloth to
prevent scratches.
• Do notspray water or any liquid directly onto the TV. Any liquid that
goes intothe product may cause afailure, fire, or electric shock.
• To clean the screen, turn off the TV, then gentlywipe away smudges
and fingerprints on the panel with amicro-fibercloth. Clean the
body
or panel ofthe TV with amicro-fibercloth dampened with a
small amountofwater. Afterthat, remove the moisture with adry
cloth. While cleaning,
do notapply strong force to thesurface ofthe
panel
because it can damagethe panel. Never use flammable liquids
(benzene ,thinner, etc.) oracleaning agent. For stubborn smudges,
spray asmallamountofscreen cleaner on amicro-fiber cloth, and
then use the cloth towipe away thesmudges.
