This manual is made based on DVR model D7904V and applies to some other similar
model. Note: the interface will be slightly different. lt is for quick setup, some details are
shorted. For step by step instruction, please kindly refer to the manual in the supplied CD

User Name: admin
Password: default no password, just keep it blank and click "OK"
Recording
lnstall a hard drive. DVR System needs an internal SATA 3.5" or 2.5" (2.5" needs a
bracket to hold the hd) hard drive for recording. Without hard drive, the system can show
live viewing, but can't record, playback neither. For more details, please kindly refer to the
manual in the supplied CD.
Note: Before installing the hard drive, please power off the system if it is on-
Check your hard drive info.
After installing the hard drive correctly, please check if the dvr sees the hard drive info.

(ln the example, a 3TB hard drive is installed.)
By default, the system is set to immediately record video from connected cameras in
regular mode. After installing the hard drive, the dvr system will record.
Back up
Also you may set "Storage Full" on "Stop Record", back up important videos out regularly.
Pluq the usb drive in the USB 2.0 port. l\,4ain N,4enu-Record-Backup, select the usb
drive and click "Backup",

Recording status, means this channel is recording
Video loss, means that there is no camera connected
(ln the example, one camera connected to CH 1. All channels are recording.)
For more details, please kindly refer to the manual in the supplied CD.
Overwrite:
The dvr can be set on "Overwrite" when "Storage Full", continuing recording and cover
former footages when hard drive becomes full

Add liles according to the time, select Backup format (AVt or H.264) and click "start" Got message "Backup finished", click "OK", then you may plug the usb out and play the
videos on PC.
l\,4otion detection recording
After proper setting, the dvr records only when motion detected. ln this way, it can save a
lot of space for the hard drive, which can record for a longer time.

Note: User Name and Sender is a same account. Receiver is another account to receive
email alerts. After "MailTesting" succeeds, click "OK" beside "lVIail Testing", and then click
"OK" beside "Set" to save. lt will only send text alarm without pictures. To have pictures,
needs to set dvr on 4CH D'1 recording from 960H. [,4ore detailed instruction included in the

Before You Start:
*l\,4ake sure you have a router and high-speed lnternet access (not included).
*Connect your DVR to your router using an Ethernet cable (see the euick Connection
Guide for details).
*Please note that an upload speed of 1l\ilbps is recommended for the best video

Android: Scan the code to download the app for android phones.
SN: the serial number of the dvr. After install the app, scan the code to log in.
Here in the example, it is via Android phone.
After finish the installation, click "Local logjn", "By Serial Number", the "QR Code" red
circled to scan the SN code on the DVR screen.
