TheTSM-22MeatGrinderisdesignedtogrindmeatproduct
safelyandefciently.Unlesstheoperatorisproperlytrainedand
supervised,however,thereisthepossibilityofaseriousinjury.Itisthe
responsibilityoftheownertoassurethatthismachineisusedproperly
andsafely,strictlyfollowingtheinstructionscontainedinthismanualand
anyrequirementsoflocallaw.
Main Precautions:
TheTSM-22canbeapotentiallydangerousmachinewhen
usedincorrectly.Therefore,readallthefollowinginstructionscarefullyto
avoiddamages.FORCOMMERCIALUSEONLYbyqualiedoperators.
BEFOREcleaning,disconnectmachinefrompowersource.NEVER
usetoolsnotbelongingtothemachinetohelpoperation.NEVERfeed
byhand.Alwaysusethestomper.NEVERputyourngersoranyother
objectbutthestomperinsidethefeedthroat.NEVERconnectpower
sourcewithwethandsorwetclothes.NEVERspraywaterorother
liquidsubstancesdirectlyatmotor,powerswitchoranyotherelectrical
components.KEEPyourworkingarecleananddrytopreventitfrom
becomingslippery.ALWAYSinstallepuipmentinworkingareawith
adequatelightandspaceawayfromchildrenandvisitors.NEVERoperate
withoutallwarninglabelsattachedandowner/operatormanualavailable
tooperator.NEVERleaveunattendedwhileoperating.STOPthemachine
immediatelyifyouhearabnormalnoises,offearthatinjuriesmayoccur.
ALWAYSgroundthemachineproperly.CONTACTTheSausageMakerif
youhaveanyproblemswiththeinstallationandoperationofthismachine.
Cleaning:
Cleanthemachinebeforetherstuseandaftereverysubsequentuse.To
clean,proceedasfollows:•Turnoffthemachineanddisconnectitfrom
powersource.•Removethepusherandtray.•Removethelockingring,
turningitclockwise,andtheinternalcomponentsofthebarrel,pulling
themout.
NOTE: Donottrytopulltheplate,knifeandwormoutofthebarrelby
startingasthismayresultinseriousinjuriestothehands.
•Toremovethebarrel,loosenthelockingknoblocatedontheleftsideof
thebarrelwithbothhandsandmoveitleftandright,pullingitatthesame
time.•Proceedwashingthecomponentswithwarmwaterandneutral
soap.•Wipethebodyofthemachinewithadamp,cleancloth.
General Advice:
ALWAYSturnmachineoffbeforecleaningandmaintenance.PROVIDE
enoughspacearoundmachinetoavoidbreakages.ALWAYSkeepthe
oordry.Wetoorsmaycauseslippings.ALWAYSturnthemachine
offincaseofpowersupplylack.NEVERletdustorwatertogetinto
electricalandmechanicalcomponentsofthemachine.DONOTmodify
originalfeaturesofthemachine.DONOTtakeoutortearoffanysafetyor
identicationlabel.

box,operatesaworm.Thewormfeedsthemeattotheknifeandgrinder
plate.Severaltypesofgrinderplatesareavailable.Theplateshaveholes
withdifferentdiameters.Thetypeofplateischosendependingonthe
desiredgroundmeatcharacteristics.
Thefeedthroatandwormreceiveaspecialtreatmenttoisolateand
facilitatethecleaning.Theknifeanddiscaremadeofhardmaterialto
providealonglifecuttingquality.

Installation:
Themeatgrindermustbeinstalledonalevel,non-skidsurfacewitha
maximumrecommendedheightof850mmbyqualiedorexperienced
people.Infrontofthegrindingdevicemustbeleftasuitablespace
toreceiveatraytocollecttheprocessedmeat.Checkthevoltageof
themachine.Theunitvoltagemustbethesameasthepowersource.
Groundingwiremustalwaysbeconnected.
Pre-Operation:
Checkifthemachineisrm,nomovementshallbeallowedonthe
supportingsurface.Itisrecommendedthatthemachinebecarefully
cleanedbeforerstoperation.(Cleanasexplainedinthe“Cleaning”
section)Aftercleaning,reassemblethecomponentsfollowingtheorder
showninthepicturebelow.Thencheckifallremovablecomponentsare
reassembledproperly.Turnlockingringcounterclockwiseuntilitappliesa
slightpressureontheholeplateandontheknife.
NOTE: Donottightenthelockingringtoomuch,asanexcessive
pressureontheholeplateandknifemayleadtotheirabnormalwear.
NOTE:Assemblethecomponentsfollowingtheordershownabove.
Itisrecommendedthatyoufollowtheordercarefully.Assemblingthe
componentsinadifferentordercouldcauseseriousdamagetothe
grindingdevice.Whenre-installingtheknifeinthewormstud,makesure
thatthecuttingedgeisfacingoutwardswiththeatedgeushwiththe
grinderplate.
Yourmeatgrinderisnowreadytooperate.
Operation:
Startthemachine.TSM-22grindersareveryhighspeedmachinesand
thereforetheyneedafastfeedingtoo.Putthemeatlumpsonthetray
andusethestompertopushthemeatintothefeedthroatwhereitwillbe
suckedinbytheworm.Feedmeatataconstantrateforbettergrinding.
IMPORTANT: Onlyusethestompertopushthemeatintothefeed
throat.Neveruseyourhandsoranyotherkindofinstrument.Itisstrongly
recommendedthatthemeatchoppernotbeoperatedwithoutmeatin
feed,thereforeneverletthemachinetoworkwithoutloading.Ifit
happens,thetemperaturemayriseashighas180°Finapproximately
3minutes,causingseriousdamagetothegrindingcomponents.Never
leaveanykindofknives,metalhooksorotherinstrumentsonthetray.
