TV/PC STANDBY STOP
TECHNICAL DATA
The TV/PC Standby Stop takes control over the power supply of all
connected devices. Upon installation, it measures the total standby
power level of all connected equipment and shuts off power
completely when this level is reached. Thus it saves the total standby
power consumption of all devices, it controls. This product also
protects connected devices against overvoltage through the power
network, which prevents damage and minimizes the risk of fire.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect the power plugs of all devices to be operated by TV/PC Standby Stop into a
regular socket.
2. ConnectthesockettotheoutletoftheTV+StandbyKiller.
3. Plug TV/PC Standby Stop into wall outlet and turn on power.
4. PlaceTV/PCStandbyStopclosetotheTVinthelineofviewfortheTVremotecontrol
 –oronthedesktopnexttothePCorlaptopcomputertobeoperatedon.
Calibration
5. Press the button on TV/PC Standby Stop for 5 seconds until a red indicator lamp lights
 upbehindthefrontpanel.Forthenextminute,theredindicatorlampwillashonceasecond.
Within this timeframe all connected equipment must be shut off or put on standby.
 a.TV,DVD,Videoandothermediaequipmentisshutofforputonstandbyintheusualway
using remote controls or buttons
b. A PC is switched off as you would normally do using the On/Off button or the ‘Shut down’
or ‘Sleep’ command
c. When calibrating TV/PC Standby Stop to a laptop computer, the batteries must be fully
charged and the laptop computer turned off or put on standby as you would normally do.
d. TV/PC Standby Stop is set to TV mode by activating any button on any remote control
within the calibration period. If TV/PC Standby Stop accepts the signal, the indicator lamp
  willashrapidly.Ifthisdoesnothappen,useanotherremotecontroltoactivateTVmode.
e. TV/PC Standby Stop is set to PC mode if it does not recieve a remote control signal within
the calibration period
6. After 1 minute TV/PC Standby Stop meassures the standby power level of the setup
and calibrates itself. It will then shut off power to the setup and be ready for operation.
OPERATION
7. TV mode:
f. Press any key on the TV remote control. The indicator Lamp of the TV/PC Standby
Stop will light up and all connected devices will recieve power. If TV/PC Standby Stop
does not respond to a remote control, activate TV/PC Standby Stop using any other
infrared remote control.
g. Turn on the TV or any other device in the setup as you would normally do using a
remote control or an on/off buton.
8. PC mode:
h. Press the button on TV/PC Standby Stop. The indicator Lamp of the TV/PC Standby
Stop will light up and all connected devices will recieve power.
i. Turn on the PC, laptop computer or any device in the setup as you would normally do.
9. If no equipment is turned on, the TV/PC Standby Stop will automatically shut off power
to the setup after 12–18 seconds
10.The TV/PC Standby Stop will automatically turn off power to all connected devices
once they are shut down or put into standby mode. For a setup with a laptop computer,
the TV/PC Standby Stop will cut off power when the batteries have been fully charged.
Always leave the wall outlet and the master switches of the connected devices on.After changing
the amount of connected devices in the setup or if a device is replaced TV/PC Standby Stop must
be recalibrated following the instructions above.

Press to activate power supply in PC mode
A sensor receives a signal from the TV
remote control. To put TV/PC Standby
Stop into TV mode, it is essential that the
TV/PC Standby Stop is situated visibly near
the TV set.
Indicator lamp provides feedback during
calibration and when TV/PC Standby Stop
is activated by remote control or by pressing
the button in PC mode.
