CHARACTERISTICS
Ergonomic design. External soft rubber bumpers and rugged internal build
for better and faster barcode reads. Easy to use with a simple setup. Large capacity,
superior to the average drop resistance. The latest barcode engine and decoding technology
greater than ordinary scanners ensures longer use after fully charged.

To turn on the scanner press and hold the trigger until you hear two beeps.

SETTINGS
iOS SYSTEM SOFT KEYBOARD REVEAL/CONCEAL
Open Bluetooth on your device and search for a device named ‘Symcode’.
Insert the Bluetooth adapter into the computer’s USB port, if you are using a Bluetooth adapter.
Scan the codes below: ‘Bluetooth HID’ first and then ‘Matching Mode’.
Wait for 5 seconds and then press the trigger to start scanning.
When the indicator flashes the scanner is ready to connect to a Bluetooth device.

Supported devices: Android, iPhone, tablet PC & laptops. Bluetooth 2.1, 3.0 & 4.0
Transmission distance under ‘Normal Mode’ 20 - 50 metres.

If the distance is exceeded the scanner will beep twice.
Each scanner has a unique mechanical ID to avoid interferences with other devices in use.
The customizable ID allows the user to distinguish the data source easily.

Turn to page 10,from the ‘Character Code Table’ scan the codes ‘5', ’8', ’5', ’9' and ‘Save’.
Return to page 9 and scan the codes ‘Reveal Prefix’ and ‘Exit Settings’.
Note: The parameter codes ‘5', ‘8' correspond to character ‘X’. ‘5', ‘9' correspond to character ‘Y’.

The Bluetooth adapter has 2 pairing methods on PC:
I. Computer with Bluetooth driver
II. Computer without Bluetooth driver (Necessary drivers must be installed)
III. Simultaneous use of the ‘USB Mode’ and ‘Virtual Serial Interface Mode’

I. COMPUTER WITH BLUETOOTH DRIVER
Matching method under ‘USB Mode’
Turn on the scanner, scan the code ‘Bluetooth HID’, the scanner enters into USB transfer mode.
Scan the code ‘Matching Mode’, the scanner enters into matching status.
Bluetooth HID Matching Mode
Insert the Bluetooth adapter into the computer’s USB port, in the bottom right corner of the screen
Double click the Bluetooth icon. Click ‘Add device’.
Double click the device named ‘Symcode’.
Click ‘Close’ when the device has been successfully added to the computer.

Matching method under ‘Virtual Serial Interface Mode’.
Bluetooth SSP Matching Mode
Scan the codes below: ‘Bluetooth SSP’ first and then ‘Matching Mode’.
Insert the Bluetooth adapter into the computer’s USB port, in the bottom right corner of the screen
A new device named ‘Symcode New Device’ will appear and a device called ‘Symcode Already Connected’.
.
Select the option ‘Choose My Own Passkey’ and enter the password ‘1234'.
Click ‘Symcode New Device’ and ‘Next Step’.
Click ‘Next Step’ and ‘Complete’ to finish the ‘Virtual Serial Interface Mode’ matching.
NOTE: If you need to use the scanner in both modes at the same time, connect the ‘Virtual Serial
Interface Mode’ first and then the ‘USB Mode’. The interface will show 2 connected icons ‘Symcode’.
The new devices ‘Symcode’ indicate the scanner matched successfully
under the ‘USB Mode’ and ‘Virtual Serial Interface Mode’.
If the scanner is not connected to other devices it can switch modes with no need of matching again.

II. COMPUTER WITHOUT BLUETOOTH DRIVER
Matching method under ‘USB Mode’
Insert the Bluetooth adapter into the USB port and the Bluetooth driver CD in the reader.
Double click the ‘setup.exe’ icon.
Choose ‘English’ and ‘Install’.
When the installation is complete, click ‘Yes’ to restart the computer.

Once the computer have restarted,
double click the bluetooth icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.

Scan the codes ‘Bluetooth HID’ and ‘Match Settings’ in sequence,
then double click the yellow sphere icon to search.

The bluetooth interface will appear.
