1. Über diese Kurzanleitung
Diese Kurzanleitung gilt ausschließlich für den Schlüter®-
Drehtaster für LIPROTEC-Systeme mit Bluetooth-
Receiver und ist lediglich eine Ergänzung der Haupt-
anleitungen „Bedienungsanleitung Bluetooth-Receiver“,
„Bedienungsanleitung LIPROTEC-EASY“ und „Gebrauchs-
anleitung LED-Streifen“. Diese Kurzanleitung enthält nicht alle
wichtigen Informationen und Hinweise, die einen sicheren Be-
trieb des LIPROTEC-Systems ermöglichen. Vor dem Umgang
mit dem Drehtaster die Hauptanleitungen vollständig lesen.
Mitgeltende Unterlagen
Neben dieser Kurzanleitung gelten die Kurzanleitungen wei-
terer Komponenten und die Hauptanleitungen. Die dort ent-
haltenen Anweisungen befolgen und Hinweise unbedingt
beachten.

Drehtaster einsetzen.
-Drehtaster nur mit der in den Hauptan-
leitungen beschriebenen Qualifikation
verwenden.
3. Verwendungszweck
Der Drehtaster ist ausschließlich zur Verwendung in Kombina-
tion mit den Systemkomponenten des Schlüter®-LIPROTEC-
Systems und dem Schlüter®-Bluetooth-Receiver vorgesehen.
Der Drehtaster ist dabei für die Kopplung mit dem Bluetooth-
Receiver bestimmt und ermöglicht die Fernsteuerung der
verbundenen Bluetooth-Receiver. Neben dem Ein- und Aus-
schalten von LED-Modulen/-Streifen können so die Leucht-
eigenschaften der angeschlossenen LED-Module/-Streifen
angepasst werden.

4. Einbauen
4.1 Adapterplatte anbringen

Der Drehtaster wird über die Adapterplatte an der Wand be-
festigt. Die Adapterplatte kann entweder an die Wand geklebt
oder über Schrauben in der Wand befestigt werden. Die Lö-
cher für die Schrauben an der Adapterplatte passen auch auf
übliche Schalterfassungen.
Adapterplatte mit Klebestreifen befestigen
1. Fläche am Befestigungsort und Rückseite der Adapter-
platte reinigen.
2. Schutzfolie von einer Seite eines der mitgelieferten Klebe-
Pads abziehen.
3. Klebestreifen oben auf die Rückseite der Adapterplatte
kleben.
4. Schritte 2 und 3 für die Positionen rechts, unten und links
wiederholen (siehe Bildanleitung).
5. Adapterplatte gerade und mit den Klebestreifen zur Wand
für einige Sekunden andrücken.
> Die Adapterplatte ist angebracht.
Adapterplatte mit Schrauben befestigen
1. Sicherstellen, dass die Wand am Befestigungsort eben
und für eine Bohrtiefe von 40 mm geeignet ist.
2. Zwei Markierungen waagrecht in einer Ebene für Bohrun-
gen mit Abstand von 60 mm zueinander setzen.

3. An den markierten Stellen Bohrungen mit einem 5-mm-
Bohrer vornehmen (Bohrtiefe: 40 mm).
4. Mitgelieferte Dübel in die Bohrlöcher eindrücken.
5. Falls nötig, Adapterplatte passend zur Stärke des Schal-
terrahmens ausrichten (nur wenn nicht das mitgelieferte
Drehtastergehäuse verwendet wird).
6. Adapterplatte mit Hilfe der mitgelieferten Schrauben an
der Wand befestigen.
7. Schrauben mit Kreuzschlitz-Schraubendreher handfest
anziehen.
> Die Adapterplatte ist angebracht.
4.2 Drehtastergehäuse und

Anstatt in das mitgelieferte Drehtastergehäuse kann der Dreh-
taster auch in Schalterrahmen von Drittherstellern mit einem
Innendurchmesser von 55 mm eingebaut werden.
1. Drehtastergehäuse auf Adapterplatte aufsetzen.
2. Drehtasterplatte in Drehtastergehäuse einsetzen und
andrücken.
> Drehtastergehäuse und Drehtasterplatte sind
angebracht.

5. Bedienen
5.1 Drehtaster einlernen
Damit das LIPROTEC-System über den Drehtaster gesteuert
werden kann, muss dieser zunächst eingelernt werden. Auch
wenn der Drehtaster seine Verbindung verliert, kann er wie im
Folgenden beschrieben neu eingelernt werden.

1. Netzteil des Bluetooth-Classic-Receivers, der mit dem
Drehtaster verbunden werden soll, von der Spannungs-
versorgung trennen. Hierzu Netzteil aus der Steckdose
ausstecken.
2. Diesen Bluetooth-Receiver wieder mit der Spannungsver-
sorgung verbinden (in die Steckdose einstecken).
3. Innerhalb der ersten 5 s nach Herstellen der Spannungs-
versorgung Drehknopf des Drehtasters fünfmal hinterein-
ander drücken.
> Die Status-LED des Bluetooth-Receivers blinkt,
während die Verbindungsdaten des Drehtasters im
Bluetooth-Receiver eingespeichert werden.
Der Drehtaster ist eingelernt. Der Bluetooth-Receiver kann
nun über den neu eingelernten Drehtaster gesteuert werden.

5.2 LIPROTEC-System per
Drehtaster bedienen
Mittels Drehtaster können alle LED-Module/-Streifen gemein-
sam gesteuert werden, die an den Bluetooth-Receiver ange-
schlossen sind. Der Bluetooth-Receiver muss dabei auf den
Drehtaster eingelernt sein.
Favoriten über Drehtaster anwählen
Durch Drehen des Drehknopfs können die eingestellten Favo-
riten nacheinander durchgeschaltet werden.
5.3 Batterie wechseln

Eine leere Batterie muss wie in Bildanleitung IV gezeigt ersetzt
werden.

1. About this quick start
guide
This quick start guide applies solely to the Schlüter®rotary
button for LIPROTEC systems with Bluetooth receiv-
er and is merely an addition to the main manual “Bluetooth
Receiver Operating Instructions”, “LIPROTEC-EASY Oper-
ating Instructions” and “LED Strips Instruction Manual”. This
quick start guide does not contain all of the important instruc-
tions and information needed to enable safe operation of the
LIPROTEC system. Read the main manuals in full prior to us-
ing the rotary button.
Other applicable documents
The quick start guides for other components and the main
manuals apply in addition to this quick start guide. It is imper-
ative that you follow the instructions and note the information
contained in these documents.

3. Use
The rotary button is intended solely for use in combination
with the system components of the Schlüter®-LIPROTEC sys-
tem and the Schlüter®Bluetooth receiver.
The rotary button is intended for coupling with the Bluetooth
mesh receivers, making it possible to remotely control the
connected Bluetooth receivers. In addition to switching LED
modules/strips on and off, the lighting properties of the con-
nected LED modules/strips can also be adapted.

4. Installation
4.1 Attaching the adapter plate

The rotary button is attached to the wall by means of the
adapter plate. The adapter plate can either be stuck to the
wall with adhesive or fastened to the wall using screws. The
holes for the screws on the adapter plate also match those
for standard switch fittings.
Fastening the adapter plate with adhesive strips
1. Clean the surface to which you wish to attach the adapter
plate and clean the back of the plate.
2. Remove the protective film from one side of one of the ad-
hesive pads.
3. Stick adhesive strips to the back of the adapter plate at
the top.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the right, bottom and left (see
illustrations).
5. Press the adapter plate against the wall for a few seconds,
lined up straight and with the adhesive strips facing the
wall.
> The adapter plate is now attached to the wall.
Fastening the adapter plate with screws
1. Make sure that the section of the wall you wish to attach
the bracket to is flat and suitable for a drilling depth of
40mm.

2. Mark the locations of the two drilled holes, horizontally
next to each other and 60mm apart.
3. Use a 5-mm drill bit to drill holes at the marked locations
(drilling depth: 40mm).
4. Push the wall plugs provided into the drilled holes.
5. If necessary, align the adapter plate to the thickness of the
switch frame (only if you are not using the rotary button
frame included in the delivery).
6. Attach the adapter plate to the wall using the screws
provided.
7. Tighten the screws hand-tight using a Phillips screwdriver.
> The adapter plate is now attached to the wall.
4.2 Attaching the rotary button frame
and rotary button plate

Instead of the rotary button frame included in the delivery, you
can also install the rotary button in a third-party switch frame
with an inside diameter of 55mm.
1. Place the rotary button frame on the adapter plate.
2. Insert the rotary button plate into the rotary button frame
and press it.
> The rotary button frame and rotary button plate are
now attached.

5. Operation
5.1 Teaching the rotary button
To use the rotary button to control the LIPROTEC system, you
first need to teach the rotary button. Even if the rotary but-
ton loses its connection, it can be taught again as described
below.

1. Disconnect the mains power supply to the Bluetooth clas-
sic receiver that you want to connect to the rotary but-
ton. To do this, pull the power supply unit out of the mains
socket.
2. Reconnect this Bluetooth receiver to the mains supply
(plug it into the socket).
3. Within the first five seconds of establishing the voltage
supply, press the knob of the rotary button five times in
a row.
> The status LED of the Bluetooth receiver flashes while
the connection data for the rotary button is being
stored in the Bluetooth receiver.
The rotary button is now taught. The Bluetooth receiver can
now be controlled using the newly taught rotary button.

5.2 Operating the LIPROTEC system
with the rotary button
You can use the rotary button to jointly control all the LED
modules/strips that are connected to the Bluetooth receivers.
The Bluetooth receiver have to be taught for the rotary button.
Selecting Favourites using the rotary button
You can cycle through the set Favourites by turning the rotary
button.
5.3 Changing the battery

A flat battery must be replaced as described in illustrated in-
structions III.
