CAUTION: It must be checked that the device is fully functional each time the device is plugged
in and each time a disconnection call is reset. Please note that a disconnection call
is automatically triggered when the device is unplugged.

Television (optional)
To turn television ON:
–Press TV key (4)
–Television is turned on
–the last channel watched will
be indicated on the display (3)
Choosing a program:
–directly using the numeric keypad (13)
or using the program selection
keys (9) or (10) sequentially
TV sound:
–via the loudspeaker (2) or
headphones (connection socket 23)
–optionally using TV device loudspeaker
Volume:
–Use the
–
key (7) to decrease volume
–Use the +key (8) to increase volume
Teletext ON/OFF:
–Press Teletext key (16)
–Select page using numeric keypad (13)
–To leave teletext mode, press
the teletext key (16) again
Blinds control (optional)
–Press special function key (15)
–Display (3) shows special functions
–Select “blinds”function using the
program selection keys (9) or (10)
–Using the
–
/+keys (7) and (8)
or the OK key (12)
the blinds can be opened and closed
Call service staff
–Press service call key (14)
–The lamp next to the service call key
lights up
The service staff will either contact you through
the loudspeaker (2) or will come to you in person.
Nurse call
To call nurse:
–Press call key (1)
–Call key (1) lights up
Nurse answers:
–Gong sounds over loudspeaker (2)
–Call key (1) flashes
–Speak to the nurse using the loudspeaker (2)
and microphone (22) (like when telephoning)
–Nurse then ends the call
Radio
To turn radio ON:
–Press radio key (5)
–the last radio program listened to
will be indicated on the display (3)
Choosing a program:
–Select the program using the
program keys (9) or (10)
–Selected program appears
on the display (3)
Radio sound:
–via the loudspeaker (2) or
headphones (connection socket 23)
Volume:
–Use the
–
key (7) to decrease volume
–Use the +key (8) to increase volume
To turn radio OFF:
–Press radio key (5)
Turn light ON/OFF
Room light (optional):
–Press room light key (18) briefly
–Room light is turned on/off
Reading light (optional):
–Press reading light key (20) briefly
–Reading light is turned on/off

Making a phone call (optional)
Receiving a call:
–Ringing tone audible via built-in buzzer
–Receive a call by pressing
the telephone key (6)
–Have conversation and end call by
pressing the telephone key (6) again
Outgoing telephone call:
–Press telephone key (6)
–Dialling tone can be heard
over loudspeaker (2)
–Press the exchange key
(usually the number “0”. Please
check with the staff as necessary)
–dial the required telephone number
using the numeric keypad (13)
–Press OK key (12)
–Have conversation and end call by
pressing the telephone key (6) again
Last number redial:
–Press telephone key (6)
–the last 10 dialled telephone numbers
are indicated on the display (3)
–Selected the required number
with the
–
/+keys (7) or (8)
–Confirm selection
with OK key (12)
–selected telephone number is dialled
–Have conversation and end
call by pressing the
telephone key (6) again
Volume:
–Use the
–
key (7) to decrease volume
–Use the +key (8) to increase volume
Finder light/reassurance light
The LEDs (1, 19 and 21) are constantly glow,
thus making them easier to locate even
in the dark.
If the call key (1) is pressed,
then the integrated LED lights up.
Menu functions
Set display brightness:
–Press menu key (11)
–Selection menu appears on the display (3)
–Select “brightness”menu item
using the program selection keys
(9) or (10)
–Press OK key (12)
–Set display brightness
using

/+keys (7) and (8)
–press the menu key (11)
again to leave menu
Set display contrast:
–Press menu key (11)
–Selection menu appears on the display (3)
–Select “contrast”menu item
using the program selection keys
(9) or (10)
–Press OK key (12)

again to leave menu
Set basic volume:
–Press menu key (11)
–Selection menu appears on the display (3)
–Select “volume”menu item
using the program selection keys

again to leave menu
Cleaning and Disinfection
For the PAT patient terminal, without exception
only use disinfectants that do not contain
ketones or esters either in part or in full.
For the disinfection process disinfection
by wiping should be used –and under no
circumstances a disinfection by submersion
process.

etc. directly from your hospital bed.

using the red nurse call key!
