Water supply to unit must be drinkable and not microbiologically unsafe.
Unit must be maintained and kept free from dust.
This unit can only be repaired by authorised personnel.
Filter is to be replaced at least every 12 months.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
When installing and using all electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
 To prevent electric shock, do not place cord, plugs or appliance in water or other liquid.
 Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord, plug, or after the appliance malfunctions.
 If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
 Do not attempt to service this product. Repairs should be done by authorized service personnel.
 Do not use outdoors or in damp areas.
FIRE HAZARD
 When installing the appliance, allow a minimum airspace of 125mm around the back, sides, and top of the chiller unit for air circulation.
Nothing should be placed in front of the unit and there should be a 100mm air space in front of the cool air inlet maintained at all times
PERSONAL INJURY
 This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsi-
ble for their safety.
 Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
 This appliance is intended for use in household and similar applications, such as light commercial (up to 8 staff), the hospitality industry,
and related residential type environments.
INSTALLATION PRE-REQUIREMENTS
Power supply
 A standard 10amp 3pin power outlet conveniently placed within 1m of the intended location of the chiller. This must be installed by a
qualified electrician.
Water supply
 A standard Cold water supply fitted with a 15mm stop tap situated within easy access of the intended location of the chiller tank. This
must be installed by a qualified plumber.
 Supply water pressure must not exceed 1000kpa with pressure regulator installed.
 Water supply must be microbiologically safe.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
 In situations where any water leakage could result in damage to property, the complete Schwan SC20 Installation should be
installed over a Drained Safe Tray, plumbed to an appropriate drain.

AS/NZS 3500.1 and AS/NZS 3500.2.
Filter and chiller must be protected by a PRV.

12mm hole in benchtop for tap mounng sha and 50mm of solid at sub-
strate beneath for tap to clamp to. Both top and boom mounng surfaces
must be at and smooth.

Ventilation
125mm air gap around both sides and back of unit for air circulaon and
cupboard must be venlated. Front of unit must be placed with enough dis-
tance from the door for air to enter the enre radiator, but be as close as
possible to vent in kick board.

Water supply connecon is only for use on copper water
pipes. For all other pipes use a standard 15mm stop tap
and a 1/4inch JG adapter.

Start-up
1. Open supply valve.
2. Purge air from all water lines by operating valve of gooseneck tap to
which chiller is connected. Steady stream assures all air is removed.
3. Connect to electrical power.
Filter change
1. Disconnect electrical power.
2. Shut off water supply.
3. Release pressure in water line by operating valve of gooseneck tap
to which chiller is connected. No water assures pressure is released.
4. Place towel or bucket beneath filter and disconnect from tubing.
Some water will spill out.
5. Remove filter from bracket and put the new one in it’s place.
6. Connect new filter to tubing and turn on water supply.
7. Purge air from all water lines by operating valve of gooseneck tap to
which chiller is connected. Steady stream assures all air is removed.
8. Reconnect to electrical power.
