How to Replace the CAB A2 Printer
Purpose
This guide is intended for a technician to use when replacing the CAB A2 Print Head on
the VX2/VXL. Please follow the instructions below to properly replace the printer.

Instructions
1. Turn off the unit.
2. Open the print head.
3. Remove labels and ribbon from travel path.
4. Close the print head.
5. Using a 2.5mm allen wrench unscrew the print head from the bracket, then open
the print head
6. Gently pull the print head forward. ( the wires connecting the head can get
stuck, so pull on them lightly to free them from behind the bracket)

7. Unplug the white cable then the black cable, and the print head is free.
8. Plug in new print head with the Black cable, then the White.
9. Re-seat the print head into the print head bracket.
10. Close the print head as much as needed to screw in the bracket screw.
11. Screw the bracket to the print head using the previously removed screw.
12. Replace labels and ribbon to travel path.
13. Close the print head completely.
14. Turn the unit back on and test.
