To finish, pull the Cable tie loop to the outer
edge and not through the large center hole see
Top image, connect and trim the ends of the
Cable Ties as needed.
Insert two
Cable Ties
through the Small
Holes that are
opposite each
other on the Legs
of the “X”, repeat
for the second “X”.
(Note: The correct
way to connect the
Cable Tie (See Below)
4
How to connect the Cable Tie Loop
Insert on the flat side
Create the “Stand-Off Tube Ends” by peeling
back the slit ends of the Stand-Off Tube (like
peeling a banana)
5
6
Position one “X” onto
the Stand-Off Tube and
align the four “X” Legs
with each of the four
“peeled back” Stand-Off
Tube Ends.
Attach all 4 Legs to the Stand-Off
Tube Ends with Cable Ties. Apply
the tie close to the center post,
capturing a knob, which prevents
the tie sliding outward. (Trim
excess Cable Tie after tightening).
Note: Make sure the Short Tube
has been removed in Step 4.
7
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 to attach the second “X”
Assembly on opposite end of the Stand-Off
Tube..
8
2
Once tied tight, discard the Short Tube from the
“X”
Repeat Steps 1-4 to assemble the other 2 “X”
Knobs
3
Bend and twist the end of one of the “X”
Legs and insert into the Keyhole on the
Bottom “X”, repeat with the remaining 3
Legs.
Place your assembled Trellis either on
top of your planter, or in the garden.
9Trim the Legs of Bottom “X”(as shown
below) so that they fit the inside wall of the
container, keeping the Keyhole or if using in
the garden, trim the legs to about 10 inches
(keeping the Keyhole).
10
Set the Trellis aside and proceed to planting
as shown in Step 11
x
xx
Plant in quadrants in
your planter or in the
soil, allowing room for
the assembled “X”
Legs. If planting a
single plant, place the
plant closer to the
center.
11
Trim
all 4 of
these
Legs so
they
touch the
soil
Minimum 12” Deep and 16”
wide Planter
If your plant does not climb and you are using the trellis
for a plant cage, simply add some twine! Wrap the twine
around each Leg as shown and additional cross strings if
more support is desired.
15
Replace the assembled trellis in
the planter or in the garden and
cover the bottom “X” Legs with at
least 2 inches of soil.
12
4
13
Insert a stake down
the Stand-Off
Tube. Recommended
Stake from Home Depot
(see info Front Page )
14
Build another trellis
tier by repeating
Steps 1 through 7.
Slide Stand-Off Tube over
stake and secure the 4
Stand-Off Tube legs with
Cable Ties and the “X” legs
into the Keyholes on top of
lower trellis per Step 7 & 9.
Push Stake all the way to
the bottom of the Planter
